I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make them. I have the exotic gem and to be honest, doesn’t really mesh up well with my game and the houses I bowl at. Kind of an over/under reaction for me.
Thank you! Yeah I’ve had equipment that didn’t match up well with me no matter how it drilled or the surface. Sometimes some balls just look awful 😆 Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I usually have it with 2k and then reacta gloss but for the comparison video I just did all them with 3k. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
In my mind the exotic gem doesn’t really belong in this video. The idea of a comparison video between balls that do similar things. A lot of people might use that ball as a ball to use on the fresh and the other two in a transition period. It’s interesting I think though to see how different your shots read vs mine (my phaze 2 reads earlier than yours I think) Can you explain the “path consistency” stat you display?
Thank you for your comment. I added the exotic gem because it has the same coverstock as the duo and I wanted to show symmetrical vs asymmetrical shape. Your Phaze 2 probably does as mine had lane shine and I was on a higher volume pattern than THS. The path consistency number is how accurate your last 5 shots have been. But obviously I move every shot so it’s going to be way low lol. If you notice the breakpoint board though, I always try to be around the same place within a board or two at 40’ no matter where I’m standing. That’s the number I usually try to work on when I’m practicing different areas of the lane. Thanks for watching!!
@@TrueHouseBowler I fixed my form tonight and now all of a sudden my phaze 2 shot looks a lot more like yours since it’s causing me to throw way faster. I was ripping it 18-19 by the time It got to the sensors down lane and the shape looked more like yours because of it
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cost. I’ve done all the install myself so that helped out. The lanes and pinsetters came from a center that was closing down. They are Brunswick and A2 pinsetters. If you’re asking about my setup that I have like, scoring, StrikeSeeker, high speed cameras, lane machine, spare parts for pinsetter etc…you’re looking at around 100K. You also need at minimum 100’ length of space by 12’. I have 18’ wide to allow enough room to walk on each side. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
No idea why you would compare three balls that do different things. This is part of an arsenal. Throw in the regular gem, a hyroad and a spare ball, and you're set
Lol. So you want to see balls that have the same shape and look exactly the same? Why don’t I drill up the same ball ball with the same layout and surface and throw them? A comparison is to show how two different balls either look similar or different. If they are close to the same, they shouldn’t be in an arsenal. Hence, comparison video. Thanks for watching!
@@TrueHouseBowler yes, I would rather see a comparison between balls that fit into the same spot to see the minor differences between them, especially in the same conditions with the same layout. I need to know whether I need a phaze ii, zen, idol, pride, ripcord, gb4, troublemaker, crypto or knockout in my bag, not whether I'll need a mix or a gem. I need a truck to haul things and I need a sports car to go fast. I don't need one or the other. The question is whether I need a Ferrari or Lamborghini, and whether I need an f150 or a RAM.
@@iceman5117 exactly why I do reviews to show people the differences. Most people don’t know how much different or similar balls can look especially on a house pattern. Everything looks good on a house shot and no one would ever see a three board variance in reaction on that condition. A phaze II will always be a staple in a bag. I’ll be more than happy to compare two similar ones if you have certain ones in mind. I’ll even put down a certain pattern you want to see them on as well.
Im even a bigger fan now that you're sporting a Cedar Point shirt! Great video!
Lol thanks! I can’t wait for Top Thrill 2.0! Thanks for watching!

Would love to maybe see some bowling of that tournament you mentioned. Great vid keep it up
Thank you! I’ll try to get some footage or at least maybe do some shorts. Thanks for watching!
Love the exotic gem. I can pretty much use it solely from game 1 of league, all the way to game 3
It is a good ball! Thanks for sharing and watching!
I want that bowling alley at my house. Really awesome 🤪👍
Lol. Thank you! It’s a lot of work to maintain but it’s worth it sometimes 😆
Best ball to fit below Phaze 2 I’m looking at a journey or lightning blackout
I have my exotic gem at 3000 as well and was experiencing the same thing. Might go to 4 or 5k..

Awesome! So what you’re saying is either we are both throwing it well or both throwing it bad 😂 Thank you for watching!
How much did it cost you to put a bowling alley like this in your basement?

Duo or Phase 2 ?
Phaze 2 no question! Thanks for watching!
Did you put any finish on the phaze 2? It’s comes with 3000 grit. I’m having trouble with mine not curving on the back end with medium oil…. Pin up.
