You do a great job explaining ball motion, coverstock, positive axis point (PAP), etc. I've watched other ball review videos, and in my opinion, your ball reviews are the most informative. Thank you for doing what you do for bowling.
This is possibly the best ball review I have ever seen. All reviews should be on a sport pattern. This video gave a boatload of valuable info that can be used on the lanes. Seeing the difference surface gave and then comparing to the other ball as well.Hopefully other ball reviewers are taking note of demo’s on sport pattens,Thank you 🙏
Only the best, for the best in the industry. 😉
I don’t see how you could say this is the best ball review obviously you haven’t looked at the other ball reviews of the exotic gem, this was one of the worst ones ever
This review told me more about the ball than 1,000 reviews on a house shot with people shooting 250's all day. When I look for a ball I am looking for my next tournament ball, not a ball that can shoot 250 on a house shot. There are a lot of balls that a house-shot can make look good. But different people are looking for different things. I just think a sports shot better shows how the ball will read the lane and react. :) Thanks Brad for the review.
But 95% of balls sold will be used on house shots 🤷🏽♂️
Look at the Brad and Kyle vid on the “How to fix your Release” (great vid btw) but he is using an Exotic Gem on heavy oil and the Exotic Gem goes straight didn’t hook at all.
Thanx for the detailed difference in coverstock. After all these years of just throwing the ball, I am learning the science of the game.
Great content as usual Brad. Getting ready to purchase my first reactive and videos like these are very helpful in the decision making process.
Love the way you guys explain things. Keep up the great content!
Just want to say, I love this channel. Discovered it a month ago when I got into bowling and I'm super grateful.
Thanks Brad for the video! Very educational and well detailed!
Man great video and explanations of everything. One thing I like that was slightly missed here on some shots are to see the angles you are when throwing the ball. A lot of times we were just seeing how the ball reacted, which looked good and strong even with this heavy oil pattern. It'd be nice to see where you stood then see where the ball hit at the arrows and how it reacts at those different angles.
Yeah the lane read video parts didn't cut it here. Loved the info though
That's how I felt. The shots were cut just a little too late and needed another second or so at the start
I shot 709 with mine this past Monday for League. Ball rolls really well
Great commentary and instruction!
Love the core and coverstock in depth explanation
at 6:30 you say youve been using pindown on the big balls over pin down. What do you see differently in the drilling that makes you chose this? (from - ex collegiate house hack that hates asyms lol)
Really enjoyed this format B-Rad!
What did you hit it with for surface?
I've been out of the game for a minute so it's been a while since I've seen your videos but my goodness, Brad is looking swoleeeee!
I have the Gem , and I love it ! The exotic Gem sounds great!
What weight ball do you throw and what is your average speed?
What is the nice background music whenever youre bowling?
your not showing were you cross the arrows
Hi Brad what size of the T-shirt you're wearing I'm 5'8
How should a person get it drilled?
When you say you hit it with a light surface what exactly did you use? Light 2000 maybe?
I was wondering the same thing. Was it 2000 or 3000 grit? I have an exotic gem that I recently purchased and considering putting surface on it to get more back end motion.
I have the NO Rules that is my favorite ball I own, I had no idea that STORM owns ROTO GRIP
Great info
Love the verbal info you gave on the review but the ball reaction portions don;t start till arrows or feet past the arrows. Almost no look at the overall lane read or angle your throwing it from.
That was a very informative review on the new Exotic Gem! It really show you how Brad used that ball out of the box and then some sanding on it, great review Brad
I would love to bowl at a place that had enough volume to throw a ball like this...
Cool video talk tech bowling
The roto grip gems are pretty 💎
This is a brilliant review by Brad. Detailed, well explained. Great stuff Brad.
Low RG, fastest revving asymmetric core, most aggressive earliest hooking cover stock. Yet I can't get it to hook 7 boards even when playing the outside line on a house shot. Holy crap do I suck. I'm just getting back into bowling after 30 years away, and this is my first custom ball after working with a professional, who evaluated my throw. Unfortunately it appears I'm not a high rev bowler. The best game I've bled with this ball so far is a 184. 😭
So who is this ball for?
Tack!
Cool
Exotic Gem is like a box of chocolates you never know what you’re going to leave 😂
Bowling's strongest pearl? No way!
Should’ve definitely had two different patterns
Here’s what I know… Your child deserves a special birthday. Just felt like I needed to say that.
Brad Miller Player of the Year
2023
Damn
I missed it
"the core is the most dominant factor of the ball". All these years everyone's been saying it's the cover and surface prep.
Think he was talking about the continuation window of asyms vs syms. Wasn’t exactly clear but thats accurate. That cover on say, the phaze 2 core would promote getting left more than the exotic.
Cover touches the lane, not the core….
That’s like saying your rim determines how much traction your tires get
Please review on fresh house shot, that's what the majority of your viewers bowl on.
Who is Jim?

Please coching me.
Man Brad, of all the reviewers of this ball you made that exotic gem look really bad on the lanes wow!! That was a super disappointing review
Yea it made me question if I really want it
@@mrcarbeast488 I had the Exotic Gem before he posted that video and I can tell you it’s an awesome bowling ball, very strong the strongest pearl I’ve ever owned. I would not hesitate to get another one …forget about what Brad did. I think it was just Clickbait lousy video by him.
@@JSBowling2011 appreciate the advice I’ll definitely get one next week.
@Mrcarbeast Another thing is that I like to experiment with surfaces on bowling balls. It's super responsive to 1000 or 2000 grit it gets down thevlane and has super traction at the back end. A light scuffing is great on it.
Please send me a Bowling ball. 😢😢😢
Pin down reads the lane earlier correct?
incorrect
