You guys can do shows for the next 20 years and not top this one. Brought tears to the eye of this 81 year old man afew times in the last hour. Love the kid, she is special. Great to see you two passing on your love for wrenching to the next generation.

This 70 year old man had tears in my eyes when she was given this first project, and loved my Dads 1970 Chevy C20 Camper Special, which he owned until 1988, when he traded I’d for an 88 K3500 single rear axle., I ended up buying the 88 from him in 2013, and it is still running after I sold it to a friend on mine. So
Happy for that young lady that I refuse to call the kid😊😊

The kid is really lucky she has a family that loves her dearly and wants to give her a chance to carve her own path in life most kids never get.

You go, ladies!!! There is no better looking truck by any manufacturer and this particular one looks to be in very re-buildable condition! I have a 70 short box k10 myself, and I would rather drive it than any other vehicle I have in my "fleet."
I wish I could get my grandkids as excited to work on and with cars as "the kid" is here! And, Em, You're exactly right when you mentioned that the people watching would be wearing huge smiles as they saw her trade quips without missing a beat!
Can't wait to see part 2 on this!!

Engineer here…. Best way to create an engineer is to get them involved in a project. The project can be theirs … can be some one else’s, like a race car, can be electronic like a computer…. But learning how things work makes a kid a better adult…. My first at 16 was a 1950 ford F1 flat head

Wow! I've been watching FSG for a long time. I remember "The Kid" when she was just around 4 years old or so. Can't believe she is twelve already. So cool of you guys and Adrian to arrange this for her to be her first project. Had a tear in my eye and was grinning throughout the video after the reveal of it being her truck. Look forward to watching the progress on this when y'all get a chance to work on it.

What a fun project. Can't wait to see where it goes. Sounds like the plans are already done but there are so many great options. QA1 makes a suspension upgrade that I've always wanted to try on a truck of that vintage. Oh, and I love the Sure Can's as well. A bit pricy but well worth the investment. Have fun!!! Also one of the easiest kind to work on as well old Chevys are the best rigs and still doing well 52 years later. A big plus it's got No fancy sensors but they go for a long time with upkeep. Can't wait to see it on the channel. Way to go Aaron and Emily getting the kid in her first vehicle and sharing it with all of us out here in viewervill kudos to all involved! Watching The Kid as she realized what was happening was a joy. Watching her tighten the battery terminal and talking about sparking if the wrench touched the other terminal brought back a memory of when I did that changing spark plugs and hit the positive terminal. The battery exploded right under my chest. Fortunately the T-Shirt was hanging away from my chest and only a couple of small spots actually got acid on me. The shirt looked like someone shot at it after being washed. I am looking forward to seeing The Kid as she learns and grows. She could not have a better aunt and uncle.

Love the kids reaction (the adults too)…absolutely right about getting kids involved young can change the trajectory of one’s life…I grew up on a farm so it was easier for me…my daughter is almost sixteen (May 2024) and we got a her a car that needs a head gasket about a year ago…so in a couple weeks, over her spring break , her and I (and hopefully our 11 YEAR old boy will help) are going to do some thrashing…I have always been around motors and projects but a spine injury about 10 years ago so brought that to an end…I have the knowledge, experience and tools but the physical ability is a challenge…so the kiddos will learn, help and hopefully have some positive Daddy and car memories. …After her car is out of the garage we plan to bring in our 1984 Monte Carlo (got from original owner who is my wife’s uncle and had been sitting in garage for 11 years) that we got the year our daughter was born AS a car that daddy and daughter could go to car shows and tinker with together and say we got it the year daughter was born…unfortunately life and my spine injury got in the way so hoping that now she can help me “tinker” rather than grow up watching me tinker. 🤔…sorry…got long on the comment but you guys rock and I try to comment just to help you with your algorithm AND to help you reach and inspire more people. 🫶🏼

    This is super great.
I’m almost 20 minutes into this episode and I’m smiling ear to ear and almost crying a bit.
From “Beef!” to dried up tear ducts, this is a lot of fun to watch.❤
An amazing and very funny episode.
    Congratulations to the Kid!

Loved it. Ya had me all teary eyed at first. The Kid kept me laughing. I'm glad you guys did this for her. That's great. By the way, I love her hair!

Emily and Aron, I'm beyond impressed. Congrats to the kid! V8, disc front and blue dots!!!!!!! Great project for really good folks! Our country so needs more adult / kid projects. Here's hoping this inspires others.
