That costume on Fred Armisen is the most fitting I've seen him wear. The hair *alone* looks more appropriate for him than his actual hair.
Agreed. He looks badass as Zoot.
You should see him in the “what’s up with that” skit
He actually LOOKS like the Zoot puppet!
He really looks like Gato Barbieri that Zoot was based on
I cannot get over this You're so right
The casting of each muppet pleases me so much!
Agreed! This sketch was cute! ❤️
Without Dr.Teeth, it was just ok.
it's actually weird how well each person fits their character ahah!
Wiig is incredible as Beaker
I wouldn't be surprised if they just asked everyone which Muppet impression they can do lol
Love.
OR...it's called talented people...and good writing/casting..
Names of actors?
Still amazed at how each of them fit their respective Muppet characters so perfectly. Amazing 😂
THIS WASN'T FUNNY
BOOM BOOM SNIFF SNIFF
When they all sing in character it actually sounds like the muppets.
Is it just me, or does Jason Sudeikis look ADORABLE in that Fozzie outfit?
hehehe I was thinking the same thing!!! 😆😆😆
It's not just you.
His smile makes it all the better 💕
Lmao he really does. That’s probably how he pulled Olivia Wilde, he looks adorable in the suit.
It's Seth Rogans rowlf costume for me lol ❤
The saxophonist went into hiding after this incident and emerged some time later as a house musician on a show called, "What's Up With That?"
You mean Zoot?
😂
Went into hiding.... emerged a bit later, yeah...AND I GOTS TO SAY...
@@jakerskricket6938 I think so
@@jakerskricket6938 I think so
I guess Seth had the easiest time since he was born with Rowlf's voice.
True 🤣😂🤣
Lmaooooo🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was the best SNL cast... Bill nailed the role of Animal, the Swedish Chef was great too
It is an ok cast
This cast with Kate and Cecily!
The original cast and the late 80s, early 90s crew were far superior all around.
I guess, if you never saw a single skit from 86-94......
Best SNL cast? Have you seen more than 3 seasons? Are you unfamiliar with a cast that was so solid & so perfect they were called "The Beatles of comedy"?
featuring Andy Samberg as: Himself
lyn was Andy samberg really in that sketch i couldn't figure out who any of them were
@@leephillips4402 in order: kristen wiig, andy samberg, bill hader, i don't know this one, fred armisen, jason sudeikis, bobby (i forgot his last name), will forte and seth (i forgot his last name) who was hosting
Jims' Club Gaming in order from what
@@leephillips4402 from the way they are sitting. From left to right
Jims' Club Gaming so your telling me that's Kristen wiig playing Beaker
There’s nothing like a good old Fred holding a saxophone sketch.
Like in the What Up With That sketches! :D
I know a good slap and a calm "shmoregy-bor" keeps me in check...
That made me laught so hard, I woke my roommate up.
Highlight of the whole sketch for me
Glad I wasn't the only one
Same
Whenever Kenan walks on stage I start to smile in anticipation.
After he slapped Beaker, he should have talked normally, "ok, im good"
The greenscreen circle on "Nipsey Russell"'s chest was an inspired touch.
As someone who grew up watching The Muppets SNL gets 1,000 stars out of 5 for this- Damn good cast and they ALL KILLED it!!!! Lmao I can’t stop laughing, and Bill Hader? Speechless hahahaha! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
If Beaker had subtitles they'd probably be something along the lines of "I don't wanna go back to prison again. I owe a lot of bad people money."
Who was Beaker?
@Detroit Diezel I think Kristen Wiig. It's hard to tell
Seth Rogen sounds just like Rowlf.
he totally does
I bet you that’s how they came up with this sketch.
Or more like dr teeth
"Boom Boom Sniff Sniff" was a total gem.... also, goddamnit UA-cam, try putting these things in my recommendeds in roughly the same year that they get uploaded, instead of seven or more years later.
Oh what difference does it make, you'd rather never see them at all?
This sketch is underrated man. This is pure gold
I don’t understand how one of the best SNL skits doesn’t have more hits, especially after the amount of time this video has been up.
I think NBC was restricting access in most places until quite recently.
"Act natural!"
*poses awkwardly*
That gag will never fail to make me laugh
Dang! Bill Hader is hillarious!!
In the beginning, he couldn't mouth / sing the words because his costume hair kept getting in the way 😆
Tht was a talented cast on Snl... gonna miss most of them ...
Plus that one chick no one knows
Bill hader and Andy samberg 😂😂😂
Who did Andy play?
Swedish Chef
@@tuckerhawkey9561 himself
I love how the swedish chef has muppet hands whereas in the show he has human hands
omg that is hilarious, I didn't realize that!!! I knew he used bare hands but didn't think of it in the sketch 😆
Why am I seeing this for the first time in 2024? Hilarious!
too much awesomeness in one skit.
Anytime SNL references the Muppets, I’m in. What makes it even crazier: the Muppets were apparently going to be side players with the original cast, but it lasted just one season. Said one writer, “I don’t write for felt.”
Michael O'Donoghue was the writer.
Seth is a pitch perfect Rowlf
This is the cast I most loved, can't believe this was 10 years ago.
2:41 I can’t stop replaying it🤣🤣🤣😂
I love that Andy as a human playing a muppet has muppet hands. And the chef has human hands lol
that was one hellova legendary cast!
Jason Sudeikis _nailed_ Fozzie's voice at 1:27
This was truly perfect casting 😂
Did they do more of Muppets? It was a great acting and impersonation, I would love to see more of it
It was a good sketch, that's why SNL didn't make anymore. 😕
There was one more with Seth Rogen but only with Samberg as Swedish Chef - kind of a cabaret night music show, actually quite sweet. And there was another with Samberg’s Swedish Chef making a cameo in a Swedish themed sketch. Only on for a few seconds but hilarious if you find him going Shmorgy Borg funny - which I very much do.
Blake Lively's monologue had her singing with them again dressed as the Muppets.
@@MikeMeehan Thanks man, I will try to find it.
@@Gr8ApeKat Thanks
Human Swedish Chef having puppet hands is genius
I don't remember seeing this sketch when it aired. I sometimes forget Michaela Watkins was once a cast memmber (She is playing Janice). And being a big Muppets fan, I find it (perhaps unintentionally) funny that Kristen Wiig as Beaker and Andy Samberg as Swedish Chef are both wearing Muppet hands, when those two characters are performed with bare human hands, so that they can grasp the various props on the Kitchen and Lab sets of The Muppet Show.
Not considered the greatest lineup, but I'd venture to say the most cohesive, and harder working than any of the previous generations.
probably showing my age but I can remember binging SNL when all seasons were on Netflix and this was by far my favorite era second was Sandler crew
“Well gang it looks like we are off to Mexico.” Classic!
Statler: Wow, I can't believe it! They actually killed it!
Waldorf: What do you expect? They're actually killing us!
Both: DOHOHOHOHOHO!
Thank you for this.
Yeah, there should've been a cutaway to them doing that.
SNL parodying The Muppet Show...the ultimate 70’s comedy lovechild has been born. May Saint Belushi forever be in your good favor
the funniest part was swedish chef talking beaker down XD
93 people don't have a funny bone in there system if they've disliked this. I think Jim Hensons up in heaven laughing his ass off at this
kristen is so cute
Will Forte has literally one impression and this is it.
why does Kermit have 4 eyes... lol
Jason sudeikis did a great job of fozzy lol
Ironic since SNL hated "the mucking fuppets" - John Belushi
Even more Ironic, because Jim Henson and Frank Oz did appear on SNL on occasion. Look up Bert in Self Contemplation.
Only the ones that took away their screentime. ua-cam.com/video/IxnG5X4Geak/v-deo.html Other than that, Belushi was on good terms.
I loved the Muppet creations that were part of SNL. Scrod was hilarious.
Savvy, trade spellings back.
Different Muppet characters.
Everybody was spot on with their impressions.
Damn something about the SNL cast as muppets is always the funniest thing ever 😂 you can tell they really love it 😂
Ha, this was great!! Love the costumes and everyone embodying their characters!!! 😆
"Therrrrrre once was a bus full of crrreatures, OW " LOL
I love how Andy is a human with muppet hands as opposed to Swedish Chef who is a muppet with human hands😂😂😂
Andy and Bill killing it 😂
I didn't realize until now that Andy Samberg is the PERFECT human stand in for Swedish chef
i love it,this could be a whole new show
Loved the Swedish chef! And Kermit!
Boom boom sniff sniff 😂😂😂
1:22 BOOM BOOM SNIFF SNIFF
GREAT sketch.....Costumes RULE! all that for 3 minutes!
2:14 I WAS ALL LIKE
"START UP THE BUS! START UP THE BUS!! START UP THE BUS!!!! START UP THE BUS!!!!"
1:23. That explains so much....
2:41. Cop:
Get back here Muppets!!!
Muppets:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!
The Beaker and Swedish Chef impressions were the best of the bunch of impressions.
boom boom sniff sniff resonates in my head
This is everything haha
the casting is perfection!
This was a star-studded year o’er at SNL that season
Swedish Chef trying to calm fown a bugged out Beaker is perhaps one of the finest moments in history
When theres skits like this i wonder how they decide whos gonna play what
I've said it once and I'll say it again. You can't keep Nipsey Russell down! He was a T-1000 Terminator of his generation!
It's funny how much this is actually true to Jim Henson's original vision of the Muppets. All the old tv commercials for Claussons and Wilkins and the show Sam and Friends were all very adult and had tons of puppets shooting guns and cannons at each other for a punch line. Even the original Muppet show was like that to a certain extent and it wasn't really until Jim Henson's death in 1990 that the Muppets started getting significantly watered down and more exclusively for children. I bet he would have absolutely loved this sketch had he been alive to see it. It was obviously written with love.
The whole irony is that Henson was on SNL in the first season with Muppets.
I can't wait for the sequel "Outlaw Muppets on the Run"
@Charles Holcomb do I have not. I recall hearing about it now
Bill Hader's best role yet
Didn't know Jason Sudekis was so good at impressions.
Fred Armisen can play anyone
Yes! 😆
How is no one talking about Andy's movements as Swedish Chef and Jason's surprisingly good Fozzie impression lmao.
Kristen face!!
Bill Hader is always a delight!
Which one did Hader play?
I've never found Kristen Wiig more attractive...
haders impression of animal was so spot-on, im crying
There is no Muppet named "Monster".
@@THEQUICHE1 LMFAOOO I MEANT ANIMAL
@@jjjourney444 full head of hair, no specific dialogue.
I love Kenan as Nipsey Russell. But of course, Kenan keeps SNL awesome.
Sniff sniff boom boom! AHAHAHAAHAHA! 😆😆
Jason is ADORABLE
Bill just vibing while the Animal fluff is trying to get in his mouth.
KILLER MUPPETS!
OMG 😂 😂 😂
LOL. This was great
I could go for some of that sniff sniff right now
The hole in the cop omfg lol
Lol, it's been a while since I've laughed about something from SNL. Great sketch. 😅
Borrowing the terminology of kids today but it hits it just right...in this sketch, we see Bill as very babey.....
This is soooooo good 🤣🤣🤣
I hope they make another one
As someone who is a huge fan of the muppets I absolutely enjoyed this!😂
In that one moment Fred became will's character in the speech sketches
1:28 We’re SCREWED! 🪛
Best Kristin Wiig performance EVER.
