Although Connor Woodle has a genetic disorder that resulted in him being born without thumbs, he now has all the dexterity he needs thanks to Dr. Bobby Chhabra, co-founder of the UVA Hand Center, who created thumbs for Connor over the course of two operations.

My son was born 2 months ago missing the thumbs on both hands. Was very sad for us when we were told. We were so happy when he was born, we didn’t notice the missing thumbs till a few hours after his birth. We love him so much, we were told about this procedure but we probably won’t be able to afford it. We want what is best for our son.
