- Day 2 with the Wing...
Looked super Windy but I was keen to give it a go. Turned out it wasn’t crazy windy maybe a few 20 knot gusts...
Anyway after a bit of cruising around I decided it was time to step it up a notch!!
Board: Nahskwell - Fly 6'6 - 125L - Length: 201cm Width: 75cm
Foil: AFS Carver 1700 (961 wide)
Wing: Simmer Style: Fly Wing 5m
Rider: 174cm weight: 80kg Age:42 :)
Wind: 12 - 20 knots
'WARNING' like all my idiot's guide videos they are NOT technically 'idiot guides' it's more me doing something for the first time and documenting my journey. Along the way, there will be useful information and tips.. so it should be educational and entertaining haha

super cool videos ben! without the leach, one could easily loose the board on open ocen with some windswell... it can be fast :D

Really interesting to see this, good to see the honest learning process in a new sport from someone used to being pretty top of his game in another sport. Good lad! Almost more interesting to see this than perfect top end windsurfing (for a change).

It’s because I was trying to jump. It happens when the foil comes out the water... as it loses lift instantly! So when I was thinking about jumping sometimes I miss timed the bounce! Haha

Hey guys, obviously foiling isn’t the cheapest thing to get in and I was wondering if there is a foil that would work for wingfoiling Windsurfing and surfing? Or do I need a specific foil for every sport ?
Lots of people seem to be using the same large aspect surf-style foil for windfoiling and wingfoiling like Malikos and the bigger Slingshot Infinities.👍

What's more fun windsurf foiling or wing thing? Is it worth buying a wing if you already have windsurf foil gear?
I selled my windsurf foil and bought wing kit.. It is so much fun, but if I have the money I would buy both😅
AlexSurf I ended up having both 😊 So far I actually like windfoil better but will keep on practicing with the wing.
How strong is the pull from the wing compared to windsurfing. Are you able to sail with the wing the same amount of time as with a windsurf and a harness.
I would say Yes!
With that big board, what winds are good with what size wing?
