My first playthrough of Elden Ring I did faith / str, mostly faith, and yeah its just the best way to play the game imo. You get all of the coolest weapons, you get to use shields if you want, and every new area had some really cool flavourful and situationally powerful incantation, like Golden Vow or Bloodflame Blade or Elden Stars or Lightning Spear. I remember running Mimic tear with Elden Stars equipped and both me and the Mimic would drop that right away and it would instantly stance break every boss in the game and let us nuke it to half health before it even got to attack once. And then you're like damn, this surely can't get any cooler? And then you discover your heal spell basically one shots the most annoying enemy in the game (royal revenants) and theres a whole Scarlet Rot mechanic that you can trivialise with Flame, Cleanse Me. Just an S tier choice esp for a first playthrough.
@@trentmckenzie343 think about what kind of incants you want to do, you got close combat/long range/slow or mabye a mix of both. Also since you will be using a lot of faith might wanna use weapons who scale with it. Also radigon icon talisman, speeds ups spells and incants if I remember right. Good luck.
The crucible horn spell is so fun. I think I once did a faith run and, although I didn't use spells too much, sometimes I'd just horn enemies for fun. It's great
Just got finished watching this. Excellent playthrough idea. The Malenia fight was excellent. The absolute lesson in patience. Could never be me. Then from that into the ego play with Astel using the flies to finish her off. Love it. 🤣
The pest threads slander is crazy, it would’ve melted way faster if you had better stat allocation with a better seal for it and buffed with golden vow and flame grant me strength.
