      What, all 6-8 weeks of it? 😂. In the E.U and UK it’s 2-3 years of training, then 2 years of probation. To be an armed response officer (in the UK), it’s 12 additional months of training, and that’s after a MINIMUM of being in the job for 5 years with a clean record. And if you fail the course? Well, you can never be an armed response officer… at all. Ohhh and every 12 months you have to be recertified, which takes 2 weeks of practical, written and psychological testing; again, if you fail then you can’t be an armed response officer. So yeah, I bet your train was “brutal” 😂🤣☠️.

      Also a lot of random sh*t happens. Chance occurrences etc. Especially when alcohol is involved. And alcohol is socially acceptable to consume. Especially when celebrating life achievements or milestones. Many of us have driven under the influence (to some degree) but since we didn’t get caught we are better than those that do.
      Does that make it right for this guy to drink and drive? No it does not but he wasn’t on the clock. What would be so wrong about letting him serve his time without further punishment? It’s ironic for a “correctional” institution to assume people cannot change.

      @@orangedrone - Nope! As a police officer, he has to be held to a higher standard. If he is let off with a slap on the wrists, what message does that send to the rest of the population.
      He knew better; they taught him better at the police academy. And now he showed that he was not actually fit for the job.
      I feel bad for him and can't imagine what he is going through right now, but it's his own fault.
      The one good thing about this incident is that maybe others will learn from it.

Suddenly I noticed a classmate standing to my rear with his service weapon pointed at my temple. He had a crazed look in his eyes. I calmly persuaded him to put the weapon down while others looked on in amazement. He then appeared to come out of his trance. Next day I reported the incident and he was immediately terminated. Crazy thing I was told in the academy by my instructor was the sheer number of officers fired after graduation but before work. Cadets graduate and go out drinking to celebrate, get DUIs and are fired. This is a very frequent thing apparently . lol

    You know exactly how this happened, too. Guy probably out celebrating his graduation, got drunk, made the big mistake of trying to drive home, and now he's paying for it. Remember kids, never go out drinking somewhere that is too far to walk home or without a plan to get home. Dude is just lucky parked cars are all he hit.

      With how easy and cheap it is today to call an Uber or Lyft, there is no excuse to drive drunk. Just leave your car and pick it up the next day. Most rides across town cost like $20 to $30 bucks with tip. People spend that much on 2 drinks nowadays.

    • @CSAccetura
      @CSAccetura 6 місяців тому

      @@SilencedByUA-camis not cheap for some of us out here. At this point in my life $30.00 is like $500. My 10 year old son and I recently lost everything to a house fire so $30 would be a blessing right about now. At least that would make for some kind of Christmas
