Ahhh yes the good old days of the time when I was so happy to the get new York all the way back in July of last year. This ship introduced me to dev strikes when I saw my first Omaha. XD
I remember getting dev struck by a new york the first time I played.. it was an eye opener and a wtf moment because I didn't see it coming.. I did 0 damage that game..
Great stuff, I’m actually surprised that I’m now starting to warm to the slow dreadnought bb’s lol, great job Spartan, lotta people being helped by these 👊🏻👍🏻
Since this is a learning moment video, a couple of things should be emphasized. One is the angling. New York (or Texas) must angle and 45 degrees to the target is your number. The transverse bulkhead on these two is 11" (I think--it's on the viewer if you want details). It can deflect most incoming heavy shells easily if angled. 11" isn't that much to pen, however, if it's flat on to incoming fire. This is key to playing this ship since the hull plating is easily overmatched. Then there's Cesare. Cesare is weird--she has two bows, one under the other. The outer bow from her rebuild is easily overmatched. The old ram bow underneath is NOT. It can't be overmatched by anything in the game. This isn't in our viewer, but used to be on PC. WG took the graphic out since it caused confusion. You can still take pen damage through the outer bow until it saturates. You will not get citadelled through the nose, however.
Nice! You influenced me working down the U.S Battlecruiser line...enjoyed the Wyoming quite a bit and so far the New York feels super promising...now I have only upgraded into the B Hull so far so I'm pretty sure it's gonna be feeling mighty fine fully upgraded...now regarding that first upgrade slot for Mains, Secondries or AA I haven't equipped yet...most valuable choice on this particular ship is the AA I'm assuming? Thanks for the channel, it has helped me tremendously enjoying getting my feet wet in this pool of seals n' sharks...Keep up the good work Sir! 😁 💪👍
Absolutely loving this series even as an alpha tester. So nice to see you revisit the lower tier ships. I have to admit that New York never did it for me and I hated it about as much as you hated the Iron Duke lol
Once he does the path to the Iowa with the New Mexico I’m watching it and learning how to get to the Colorado more easier (btw I had the New Mexico since March so im not too close to the Iowa but I’m close
@@SpartanElite43 because from what I've seen She can be a rather powerful Cruiser commander if we are to use the extra 2 heals and the increased turned traverse in the 2nd slot or the increase torp speed+range and in the 1st slot the decrease in damage control reload time
Love the series. I find the slow speed of these dreadnoughts terribly frustrating but the guns hit hard for tier 4 which makes up for it. (If the dispersion treats you well)
Like these videos, one suggestion when going through the stats - rather than just reading them from the screen maybe add context like “rudder shift time is fantastic - faster than Kongo, but guns don’t penetrate as much as say Iron duke” etc. Etc. That would help us draw on your experience for what ships to watch for on the enemy team when we are playing these ships. Not a criticism, merely something that would help us less experienced players
On my side, I didn't see your buddy flank until he was right on the edge of that island, and that was when I knew it was over. Dodge and weave dodge and weave.
Hey Spartan, so I'm starting down the Soviet BB line and I'm on the Pytor right now. Should I go for a tank build or a dispersion build? My Russian captains aren't leveled very high right now.
Either is good and has their benefits personally I prefer the Dispersion builds on them as the Tank build limits you quite a bit. That is just my opinion though
Soo.. i made the permanent camo for the colorado. Was about time that ship got a permanent camo, coz there was no single camo that looked good on her. The torp belt messed up the pattern for every camo. So im happy, coz she is a damn good ship. Bought the historical camos for hood and bismarck too. The bismarck's looks nice with the yellow 👌
Main reason I don't play American dreadnought are how slow they are but I still enjoy the hard hitting guns, its like playing the Nagato when playing an American Dreadnought, slow but hard hitting but better armor than Nagato because of tier
Will wargaming allow us to customize each ship with commanders and inspirations eventually. Instead of having one commander and two specific inspirations for any ship that commander is used on ?
@@craigdrury3191 I meant ship specific . Different inspiration choices with the same commander on different ships . And I also mean the console version of the game not the pc .
@@darrenbennett1053 I am on console, but I get what you mean now, we shouldn't have to pick different inspirations every time we wanna use our commanders on different ships but I haven't found it to be a huge issue

Wait for the dreadnought bb line, where Kansas, Vermont, and that other bb whose name i forgot will be added
@@berzec Is that a certainty? I’d love a dreadnought line. More than happy to trade out modern AA mounts for more armor.
@@realname5332 It will happen, sooner or later. Most likely next year

It's a good series spartan and i think in the long term this will get you alot of views bcz the new players will love it! GOOD JOB👍👍
I love the new york. It's just so fun to play! Great game!! 👍

That carrier pilot tho 😂💪🏻👍🏻
Nice job Spartan. Enjoying the Iowa series.
Love this series good work.
Spartan, always uploading when I’m finished with dinner (I live in Sweden btw)
Oooo you're from Sweden!

I’m from Britain, many good greetings
Hey spartan, do you have any commanders that are fully upgraded that the 2nd base trait is unlocked?
Didn't know that was a thing
@@SpartanElite43 if the commander is rank 16 and legendary rank 4, 2nd base trait is unlocked
i think instead of getting 1 base trait as an inspiration, you get both

Btw spartan I lived the kongo when I used it and got 280k dmg once

Spartan how do you get the legendary ships so fast like the Worcester
bc he basically has all the commanders maxed out and he has almost all the ships
Cant have a game in this thing without being burned down as soon as I'm spotted
What is it with the British cruisers? Idk if I just suck with them or are they that bad?

How did you get that camo
Btw does anyone know how to get the standard type camos for the german bbs?
