@@chaosrainX yes this also he be cool with Anakin "interpretation" of the Jedi code as he also play fast and lose with it. So he be more calm when Anakin did that and his willingness to show contempt to the Jedi Council would have made him his favorite person. While also making it when he inevitable have to put his foot down on Anakin slipping would have hold more weight. Since he respect his judgement as he would have been the first to stand up to the Jedi Council BS from day one. Make it more likely he listen when it matter. Anakin would still be smarmy asshole that does moraly dubious shit on the regular but still Master Jedi that kill the would be Emperor without a second thought. (No he would not realize the Senator is evil until he spell it out. Or boy is many things but wise is not one of them.)

Already there's people in here that don't seem to realize Qui-Gon Jinn's Force Ghost shows up multiple times in TCW and again during the Kenobi series... And is mentioned directly in the ending of RotS.
You can also hear him during the tusken slaughter. I think it was when Yoda sensed it he also heard Qui-gon's voice saying Anakin no.
Qui Gon was the closest thing to what a Jedi should be in the prequel trilogy. He followed the will of the force regardless of the pressures of the Jedi council.
He was the ONLY true Jedi in the galaxy. And in not talking about the Lego Star Wars one lol
To be fair, Toydarians could simply have an immunity to charm spells rather than not being humanoid. Also, there are player races that are immune to charm person like the centaur.

Tulock! I love your videos, epecially the ones where you try new things. I loved how in your homebrew spells video, you gave a bit of lore on every spell and flavored all your homebrew. I still think about your "All I Want for Christmas is Views" promo all the time. I started watching for Building Character but I stayed for the things that you do yourself. Ill continue to watch and support but what really gets me jazzed is your own personal creations. Please do more of your own homebrew. Maybe a video on the Feats that the people from Assek use. In addition, I think it would be good for the algorithm if you made videos about the new DND ONE UA thats been coming out. Lots of strong oppinions for the comments. Keep up the good work!
I for the most part like all the Star Wars write-ups, but I think this is one of the better ones.
Since this is a Star Wars build that got me wondering what a build for Rex would look like
I'd say some mix of Champion + Oath of Glory with Two-Weapon Fighting as primary fighting style, and then some combo of Archery, Close Quarters Shooting, or Interception (since of course Champions get two fighting styles and you'd pick up a third from Paladin)
High Str and Dex of course and decent Con, with acceptable Int and Wis and he has to dump Cha
A lot of other clones would follow his build probably but I can actually think of one who WOULDN'T, that being Cody, who'd likely be a Banneret or Battle Master/Oath of the Crown multiclass with Superior Technique instead

Obviously this would be a character who is skilled in Insight and Deception.

I gave what is basically a lightsaber in my campaign which whoever takes it can determine the color of it, which also determines what element it deals.

Suggestion: How to build Ciel Phantomhive / Sebastian Michaelis. I'm imagining Ciel having both Bard, probably Eloquence, with an Order Cleric dip; I know Warlock is supposedly what he should have, but TBH I don't see the abilities working for him. Sebastian, meanwhile, is probably some sort of Hexblade / Swords Bard, summoning the family silver to defeat his enemies, possibly with some form of Fighter thrown in, or alternatively a Monk / Twilight Cleric.

Feel like there was a joke to be made about a starving jedi turning into force ghost to help transition into that advert.
Since Spelljammer is out now, and Plasmoid is now a racial option, you can finally start building Rimuru Tempest from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime; and his posse. Rimuru is one of those odd sorts of power builds, but after you build Rimuru, you can get on the rest of his crew, which include Gobata (a hobgoblin) and Geld (a High Orc). But you still to start with Rimuru because he canonically granted them power by giving them names.
Fun fact: In legends The Empire made something called Project Blackwing that's basically a zombie virus, which makes me very sad that nobody made a game about it

Sure,some of them might be easy (Zhan is a cleric, Aeryn is a fighter, D'argo a barbarian, Noranti an alchimist artificer, Chiana a rogue), but some are really hard (what the hell is Rygel? Or Scropius? Even Crichton is not that obvious)
So... yeah. That should be real fun. What do you say?
I must say I am confused as to why monk was not in the build at all, the deflect missiles, slow fall and similar would make more thematic sense than some of Tulok’s choices.

There are, as you likely know, dozens to hundreds, ranging from Malory, to d'Trois, to comic books, to stories from the Dark Ages. (Sorry if you've already indicated this and I missed it.)

I've always suspected that midichlorians were inspired by mitochondria, an endosymbiotic organism that lives in our cells and can be traced back to a small number of common ancestors.
I am certain George Lucas never read the novel Parasite Eve (and I doubt he'd have played the first PSX game either) but that novel has mitochondria basically turning people into pyromancers. Makes you think, don't it?
But either way, now I'm imagining Aya Brea as a fighter/divine soul sorcerer mix :P

Ok, I know when you said King arthur was a suggestion for the next video, you probably meant the og version. But my dumbass mind immediately went to Saber Artoria from Fate/Stay Night xD
Not a bad build but feels a bit lackluster in flavor. Qui Gon was one of the very few Jedi who seeked a strong connection to the living force (= primal magic in DnD) and was in many ways wiser than all the others so I saw him as a wisdom based character although I know Force powers are not possible with primal/divine magic.
Also he used the Ataru lightsaber style which requires a lot of acrobatics so maybe dex based fighting would have been more accurate.
I'm sincerely hoping the vote goes to Arthur

I have a question about Eldritch Blast: I'm trying to remember if there was an invocation that allows you to change the element of the Blast from Force to something like Fire or Ice. Does such a thing exist or am I sadly mistaken?

You could take the sorcerer adept feat for transmutation and take fire bolt or ray of frost as the same lvl spells. or 2 lvls of scribe wizard with magic initiate or 1-2 lvls of warlock for EB+ invocations for it.
In older editions there were ways to change Eldritch Blast’s (which was a warlock feature not a spell) damage to cold, fire, or acid.

Hey Tulok, two questions if you see this and don't mind answering. I was curious as to why you haven't done Guts from Berserk? (unless you plan doing so) I'd love to see a build from him. Also if someone wanted to flavor a Warlock that makes a pact with their own creation, what pact would that be, or would they have to homebrew their own pact?
I don't want to put words in his mouth, but he doesn't like to do characters from series where there is sexual violence or similar themes.
He did a Guts video, but took it down.
He had a build for Guts a while ago, but after getting pissy about people requesting him to build Goblin Slayer from the epynomous series, he took the video down when people called him a hypocrite (as his reasoning for not building Goblin Slayer was that he didn't like how dark the series was).

@@StriderZessei Yeah, Tulok got caught by the "normie-filter" first episode and said that he wouldn't make a build based on it. People questioned and made fun of him for it, then started calling out his hypocrisy in having made a Guts build before, as Berserk makes Goblin Slayer look like kindergarten when it comes to dark fantasy, lol. To prove people wrong, he took down the Guts video and moved on with it.
I don't entirely agree with his decision and how he went about the situation, but I can respect him taking the video down when accused of hypocrisy.

Qui-Gon Jinn is that maverick mentor who have the skill to become top on his secret cult of space wizards, but chose to live on its own way: by being an even more fanatic cultist himself! (All should hail the church of Tulok the barbrarian, for one day he will grant us builds like the Tangle the lemur one, please?) There is some merit on its teachings if Obi-Wam became such a great Jedi and honorable man as he is, even if the teaching method might have to be polished to reduce the number of lost limbs to achieve the prophecy.

I went with Variant Human Champion Fighter 14 [Great Weapon & Dueling or Interception styles]/Raven Queen Warlock 6 (Pact of the Blade) [old UA; quickest way I found to turn into a bird] with Lucky, Hex, Ray of Enfeeblement, Counterspell, Thief of Five Fates & Sign of Ill Omen to mess up enemies. Focus STR then CHA, moving to DEX or picking up Great Weapon Master if you have the ASIs to spare.
I'm sure you're joking, but Qui-Gon not dying would not have prevented Anakin's fall, because Anakin fell on his own, it was his choice. Similarly the fear thing the Jedi had a problem with wasn't that Anakin was scared but rather that he was lying about his fear, and that was the problem. Also Balance is rejection of the Dark Side, and Qui-Gon was not the only Jedi with emotions, he wasn't even the Jedi best at showing them.
