As a knitting/quilter, I am glad you found Pick Up Every Stitch! Felicia and Karen are wonderful! On the quilting front, there is a Bernina dealer in Mt. Kisco Pins and Needles run by Lisa and her Mom Debby. We also have a very active quilt guild in Somers (Northern Star Quilters Guild). We will be holding our World of Quilts XLI at SUNY Purchase Campus on April 30 & May 1st. Hope to see you at one of these wonderful places/events! Welcome to Westchester!
I went on a three day trip, when I got home, my granddaughter moved my Yarn I was de stashing, and I was almost done! I just can’t sleep, cause I don’t know where my things are! So I found your channel! Enjoyed your sharing.
You will absolutely love, love your ranunculus!! And you will wear it often, believe me. Welcome to the ranunculus family 😁. You’ll want to make another soon after your first!
Another great video Kristen! All your projects are beautiful. I'd love it if you did an EPP tutorial. I follow Kate's Last Homely House channel and initially became interested in EPP from watching her. Always nice to have another tutorial though!
Always enjoy your podcasts, you can tell you have technical knowledge/experience in the way you present and edit them and what a delight to learn you have met Kim & Jonna. They have become my favorite podcasters I just love them. I too want to make the Ranunculus and have bought the pattern a while back but the start keeps putting me off, so I'm glad there are now videos to assist with the making of this. Love your work 💖
Thank you for that awesome compliment, Donna 🥰 So glad I'm able to put my film degree to some use 😂 Yes! Kim & Jonna are total gems and feel so lucky to have met them -- also Katy!
Oh dear, the Ranunculus. Yes Kim and Jonna got me knitting a Ranunculus. I had looked at at, thought no, I have a queue of patterns I want to do. Startitis is catching.
I haven’t finished this UA-cam yet, but fell in love with your tee shirt. OMG the floral and the colours……please share where you bought this beauty or the brand. I live in Australia.
I finally made a Ranunculus at the end of last year and eventually will make another one but going down one needle size as I’ve seen others do. Love seeing your quilting as I’m not a quilter but they’re amazing. Have a great week.
Hi Kristin! Jonna and I are so happy you moved to Westchester, and hanging out with you and Katy was so fun! I can’t wait to see your Ranunculus. ❤️ Let’s hang out again soon… 😘 Kim
I'm for sure interested in an EPP tutorial! I had gotten the hexies & a fabric pack a few years ago, but never did anything with them. Your videos have inspired me to pick them up & I've been watching a lot of other videos, trying to decide what techniques/supplies I like. ps - the quilt squares are looking great!!
Enjoyed another great episode; always love hearing about all the crafty rabbit holes you are diving down. I'm feeling in good company on the startitis front; I seem to have that issue most of the time. So nice to have such cool knitting companions nearby. Take Care Kristin and Happy Making!!
Welcome to Westchester. I also think Pick Up Every Stitch is a fabulous shop. I hope you checked out their selection of Clinton Hill Cashmere sold there too! The owners Felicia and Karen are terrific and the shop is just beautiful.
Oh my, very honoured to be pet of your ranunculus inspiration!! Watching wearing my first one I made and now wondering if a new one needs to be cast on 😉🤔😬
I would love to see the demo on EPP because I haven't watched others demo it and I always watch you so would love to see it! I want to knit a ranunculus but have just been learning to knit and didn't feel I was good enough to do it yet but thank you for saying she has tutorials because I just might give it a try now that I know that! I'm afraid I've got too many projects started too. I think because its spring and covid isnt so bad we can actually go somewhere and wear our handmade.
I want to try making a simple duvet cover but need backing fabric. I loved your “grunge” choice. I wondered where you found this and the name of the fabric? 🖤
I used the Illimani Sabri when I made the Plumeria Tank from Wool and Pine designs. It has the most wonderful drape, soft and breathable, so perfect for spring and summer. Enjoyed this episode as always.❤
Maybe the knitter's equivalent of spring fever is going around, because I've been having a fit of startitis as well 😅 I think I have 5 or 6 wips going right now? And am fixing to cast on two this afternoon...all your WIPs are so beautiful and I'm so glad your knitting mojo returned!
Thanks so much, Ruth! And when it comes to startitis/spring, I think you hit the nail right on the head 😂 Maybe also the notion that it's warming up, so time to knit all the shawls and socks! ... but it's not THAT warm yet, so let's cast on a sweater, while we're at it. 🥴
I’m working my first intricate sock pattern & you’re so right, easy but very tedious you miss anything your count is off, I think I’ve had to add or decrease stitches like 4 times already 😂
Please help! I've just gotten back into knitting so I am still learning things and I want to get into knitting socks. Problem is for that I need either dpns or short rounds. So which should I pick? Which is more diverse in what I can make? If I get dpns what length should they be 6" 5" or 4"? I need some guidance :)
Can I pick your brains for a reccomendation? Looking for a yarn for my wedding shawl, I don't want a stark white, because it won't fit into my wardrobe afterwards. My bridesmaids are in a dark green teal colour. So if you know any white/ivory yarn with green/teal hints, that would be much appreciated. Even better if from a small dyer!
Big congrats on your upcoming nuptials!! And yes, absolutely ... I actually knit my wedding shawl using Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud in "Oyster Heather". It knit up so beautifully - here's a link to my Ravelry project page. :) www.ravelry.com/projects/voolenvine/madlis-shawl
Lovely video. I'd love to try the Illimani Sabri - thanks for talking about it! I'm subscribed to Christine McConnell's channel and she just did a video on designing custom wallpaper that made me think of you. Have you seen her?
As a lifetime member of startitus anonymous, this was an extremely “bad” watch for me. Itching to make a Tegna and Ranunculus now! Glad to see I’m not the only one who casts everything on!

I love that shawl! Just beautiful!
The grunge will be perfect for the background of your double wedding ring. Great choice!
Oh dear, the Ranunculus. Yes Kim and Jonna got me knitting a Ranunculus. I had looked at at, thought no, I have a queue of patterns I want to do. Startitis is catching.
Oh I LOOOOVVEEEE Illimani yarn. I have a huge stash of it. It's lovely to work with.

Thanks so much, Sharon! There are definitely some crafts I enjoy watching others do but don't do. It's fun to watch! 😄

I am searching for yarn for a second Ranunculus... the first was linen. Love the Sabri/ mohair combination.
Yes I am casting on a Ranunculus after I finish my current project.

On my second sweater, I started putting a tiny button at the middle of the back neckline - so then it makes it easy to know which is the back.
Great idea, Lisa!! Another one I like is to weave a bit of contrasting scrap yarn along the back neckline
Welcome to Westchester. I also think Pick Up Every Stitch is a fabulous shop. I hope you checked out their selection of Clinton Hill Cashmere sold there too! The owners Felicia and Karen are terrific and the shop is just beautiful.
I always sew a button on the back of my sweater (in the inside) to mark that that is the back. It functions like a tag would.
Oh my, very honoured to be pet of your ranunculus inspiration!! Watching wearing my first one I made and now wondering if a new one needs to be cast on 😉🤔😬
Would you consider doing another dye dungeon tour once you are all set up? I'd love to see the new digs!
I would love to see the demo on EPP because I haven't watched others demo it and I always watch you so would love to see it! Oo I'm def going to be on the lookout for the Soldotna kits, I love how yours ended up
Yes yes yes epp! Please
I’m so excited to see your grunge quilt!! 😍
I love love the sweater you are wearing particularly the lacey and flare out look please tell me where to purchase the pattern.
I would love an English paper piecing tutorial! 😍😍😍 btw, grunge print is perfect!
Would love to see an English paper piecing tutorial! Also, would like to learn how to finish it off with backing etc. Thank you! 😊
I used the Illimani Sabri when I made the Plumeria Tank from Wool and Pine designs. It has the most wonderful drape, soft and breathable, so perfect for spring and summer. Enjoyed this episode as always.❤
Right?? It's all about the softness and drape!
I just finished my first ranunculus a couple weeks ago and I see more in my future too!
I just started an EPP project. I'm making a journal cover. It does get very zen, which to me is weird because I am not usually a fan of hand sewing.
startitus is THE BEST! Roll with it 😁
Did Kristin mention where that bookcase came from behind her? I love it!!!

@@Voolenvine 😆 Yep, warm weather = time for lots of warm woolies!
What is the name of the color of Ito Sensai you are using for Ranunculus? The color is stunning.
Oh yes please. EPP tutorial !
Ive caught the EPP bug! Im working with some of my favourite Rae Ritchie prints from dear stella fabrics. I reckon you'd love her fabrics!
Oooh, I love Dear Stella fabrics!! Welcome to Club EPP, Fiona. So glad you're enjoying it! 🤗
Ps: haha I do the EXACT same thing. Team no swatch and use best guess based on other peoples Ravelry projects haha
I’m working my first intricate sock pattern & you’re so right, easy but very tedious you miss anything your count is off, I think I’ve had to add or decrease stitches like 4 times already 😂
Ugh! Don't you hate that?? Thankfully, lace can sometimes you can fudge an increase or decrease here and there.

I love the colors you chose for your Ranunculus. What is the Ito Sensai colorway? It's gorgeous
Thanks so much! had to check the name and it's called "Goat" 😂 Totally wasn't expecting that. It's almost iridescent and reminds me of opal.
Hi I went to Ravelry under Caitlyn Hunter but here is no Tanya Pullover .Please tell me where I can find it thanks.
Must be something in the air, all I want to do is start new things. Resistance has been futile. 😁
Too true! Blame it on Spring! 😁

I would love to see how you do English paper piecing.

Welcome to the mind of an Aries- the sign that makes you start new things before you........ squirrel!!!! lol
😂😂😂 Perhaps I'm Aquarius, Aries rising??? 🤔
Love the sweater your wearing but Id like the back longer then the front.
Lovely video. I'd love to try the Illimani Sabri - thanks for talking about it! I'm subscribed to Christine McConnell's channel and she just did a video on designing custom wallpaper that made me think of you. Have you seen her?
So happy to hear you enjoyed it! And thank you for the channel recommendation. Going to check her out when I get a chance. 🤗
Would love to see how you EPP.
What is the colorway name of the Ito Sensai yarn?
I cant do swatches. I just cant . I despise it and I dont know why😂
You're in good company, Selena! 😜

Where does the "elephant in the room" thing come from? There are NO elephants in any rooms on this channel.
