    25 years for killing a defenceless woman in cold blood? Why are the laws too lenient on the offenders? And the accomplice who also fully participated in the crime, claims second degree murder and received such a few years in prison... well I think laws should be stringent enough to deter others from attempting to commit same. To detectives, coroners and scientific crime analysts, my 100% respect for what you do. You're simply the very best on the planet!!!❤❤❤

      @@jasonstaples4364 Yes, there are!! They are concentrated to the Gauteng province and the KwaZulu Natal province. It started just after one of the former presidents of SA, Jacob Zuma was arrested. He is from the traditional Zulu Tribe. There was so much looting in the malls, vehicles burned, shops destroyed. It is horrible. Even one of the gas plants were set alight, and a fuel refinary in Durban (KwaZulu Natal) was forced to close, leading to fuel shortages in certain areas of South Africa. While the Police and Military were deployed, their hands were tied. They could use no violence to stop the looters. 1000's of arrests were made, but to be honest, our court sistem is not up to par. Is this also news in America?? Lucky I live in the North West Province, some 350+ Km from Gauteng, and even further from Natal. But I do appreciate the wishes te keep safe. Oh gees! I do hope it doesn't spell bigger trouble, those thunderstorms in America, like a Tornado or some other natural disaster. You should also please keep safe, if you are in the affected area.

    The second case is a perfect illustration of the risks of tunnel vision in investigations. This is why there should always be a) outside eyes on an investigation with the possibility to question assumptions, b) the judiciary must be independent, and questioning of the investigation and, c) the certainties of investigators must not be accepted in place of hard evidence. If the first judge in this case had not questioned the evidence an innocent man might well be serving life without parole.

      Murderers do not have the reasoning, logic or planning ability that normal people do which is why they commit murder to begin with. In people who commit single homicides ( versus serial or career killers), murder is seen as the only solution to the problem they have. They obsess about it until it dominates all their thinking and there is little to no capacity left over to think about life after the murder. Kill = problem solved and gone. It's extremely distorted thinking and so it looks illogical to a normal person like you. Good for us because it helps catch them!😄👍

      Exactly they customized it bc they thought the guy did it - the obvious signs of brother possible guilt was in plain sight everyone knew around town so why take the cops months to find out he liked old woman for one and for two same access to the murder weapon and siblings often have the same shoe. They wanted to MAKE the man THEY thought was guilty - Look guilty ! Thank god the judge threw it out or a jury would have convicted him for acces to the weapon alone- outta rage for an older couple being murdered - they would agree no matter who they said did it - could be someone 1500 miles away and if they pin the weapon on him - he’s going to prison. In the first clip the guy who snitched on himself received the same sentence as the guy he snitched on despite "only sitting in the car" and pleading to 2nd degree while his boy was convicted of 1st degree. It doesn't seem fair to the guy who snitched.

    Not everyone has a great life. And using your past as an excuse for what you do today is almost redundant. Life is filled with choices, good and bad. Just like everyone else you have to choose the good. While empathy and sympathy maybe required for some, a bad life is a never a good reason to do anything bad.

    I don’t see how they didn’t link the brother right away - siblings often have same shoes in diff sizes - my own boys all 3 do - same father same access to guns and the brother had a history of old woman love - which was a complete secret until months later? Sounds like bull shit police work trying to MAKE THE CASE FIT by their assumptions not actual police work and evidence.

    Killer: Ok ok. We did it. We murdered her.
    Cop: Ok lieutenant, lock him up. I gotta go find his partner now.
    Killer: You lied! I told the truth, and now I go to jail. But you lied about my partners interview and about the truth setting me free and your not going to jail. Wtf?

    This sounds like a perfect example of how wrongful convictions can occur. I'm gobsmacked that the police agency submitted this as a case to be dramatized on film. Didn't they realise this highlights their deficiencies? Lucky the judge smacked down the original prosecution case.

    • @touringthecitywalking9209
      @touringthecitywalking9209 3 роки тому +1

      I am afraid I can't agree with your statement, 'money is the root of evil'. Money is a blessing just like any other good thing; however, evil is the mind of that person who either has a mental problem or a bad desire to live his life on other people's money. We can't blame the objects but blame the actual actions of people who have the free will to do the right thing or wrong thing. A sensible human (unlike an animal) has the ability to choose to do this or that, so he/she is responsible for his/her actions because of his/her brain. Otherwise, billions of good people around the world having little or lots of money, and yet they don't do evil things, aren't they?

    • @Honestly-Jenn61
      @Honestly-Jenn61 3 роки тому +1

      @@touringthecitywalking9209 hi, i didn't meant the victims or blame them for their money, like you said money is a blessing but not every human being out there will accept that money is a blessing if is so why we all are not rich, to me is a blessing to you too, but those who doesn't believe that, here they come with the mind of evil to get what they didn't work for someone else money. i understood dear. 😊

    • @touringthecitywalking9209
      @touringthecitywalking9209 3 роки тому +1

      @Nica Yes, and as I said above, ONLY the crooked or maniac will do that and rest of billions will never do that! So, at the end, money is one the blessings like other good things in this life. The problem is in the minds of some "black sheeps" how to acquire this blessings (the 💰) and NOT the money itself is the evil.
