Never been to London and probably will never get the chance to visit. You shoot great videos, you explain everything , give good advice for people wanting to go to London or anywhere and you always tell it like you see it, you give the good with the bad which is the way it should be.. You make everything so very interesting.. Thank you.
There is just something about the vibe in London that is like nowhere else. I remember my last trip to the UK I flew into London and spent a few days there before heading up to the Scottish Highlands for a week. Coming back the feeling walking out of the train station into London on a busy weekend evening was something I'll never forget, the city just felt so alive. But then the realization that all those people around mean your likely to end up with some takeaway in your hotel room rather than a nice dinner out if you didn't plan ahead. Being able to keep a positive attitude and making opportunities out of unexpected situations are a key part of having a relaxing holiday and enjoying travel, because things are going to happen.
Your London video brought back memories. I went on my own to London from South Africa in 1993. Finding my way on the underground to my hotel and walking around London that first day.... definitely the moment I truly fell in love with traveling.
Are you really in line for the throne, Ben? That was an unexpected aside in your commentary! Love it, either way. And I absolutely love London. We spent eight years living near Kings Lynn and often took the train in to spend the day in London. I loved wandering along the canals, finding nifty shops in Seven Dials, checking out Oxfam and the other charity shops. The most unexpectedly delightful day we had in London was watching the Eton v Harrow cricket match at Lord's cricket ground. The politest yet wildly partisan sports crowd ever! Then for the tea break, we found a farmer's market in the neighborhood and had a lovely picnic!
Hi. I haven’t been to London in many years but my son is a Scot’s Guard and I haven’t been able to get to London when he was based there. I would have loved to have seen the Guards who spend there time guarding the palaces. So to have as guardsman bear would mean so much. But when I’m next down I do plan to do the palaces, the zoo and off course Hamleys. I went to Hamleys when I was in the girl guides but I best memory was actually being allowed to be inside the gates at Buckingham Palace to watch Changing of the Guard. It was so amazing watching the guardsman change over the duties, the red tunics, shiny black boots and there black bear hats. It made my heart swell, I was so proud that day and it has never left me ❤

As a former flight attendant, I enjoyed the beautiful city during Christmas season - very Dickens feeling. One of my favorite visits was being in London on Boxing Day holiday. The streets of London were empty for a nice walk in the very crisp morning.
I visited London several times in 1985 while a college student in Grantham. Big Ben was shrouded in scaffolding at the time.

I got so excited when I was going to spend a whole summer traveling by train in Britain and then Europe! A two week BritRail pass and eight weeks on a EuroRail pass, but we started in London in the beginning and at the end of the trip in London. I was so excited when the plane was descending into Heathrow and I first saw a Highway with the traffic driving on the left side!! But, our first train ride was into Victoria Station, which was breathtaking when I saw that giant iron arched glass curved roof that used to handle steam locomotives that belched out filthy black coal exhaust. I found the Victorian architecture of this, my first time seeing it, just incredible!
I really loved the Tower of London when I visited London in the late 2000’s. Amazing city!
While in the US Air Force, I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath. I used to go London as much as possible, and my favorite place was Covent Garden and the Tower bridge.
London is #1 on my bucket list. I love history so the Tower, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham are all on my to do list. I will make it there in the next 5 years!!

London is a wonderful City with so much history. Although London was not the first City of the UK, Colchester was. The City of London has it's own Police Force. The Crown Jewels are held in the Tower of London. Gosh Ben, you have me scratching my head about London! Anyway, I really enjoy watching your UA-cam Chanel, keep up the good work 👍👑

Last time I was in London I stayed across from Greenwich and took the tram over to Greenwich and toured the area! Loved it! Your content is awesome and you did a great job with what you could work with! 😊😊😊
You know I watch the people who videotape walking in London all the time. Mostly they are walking in pouring rain...and you know what, it doesn't matter a jot... absolutely love seeing all aspects of London.

@@jonathanpage7710 try to visit on a weekday! Walking around is still great but crowds definitely mean you need reservations for a lot of stuff!
If you're in London on a sunny Saturday I would suggest going to Hampton Court Palace. Worth visiting and not in the city center, so much quieter.

I love London it was my mother’s favorite city. I’ll be visiting again on January 31. Just for the day. I’ll be going on a transatlantic cruise out of Southampton will take a train side trip. Can’t wait.
I used to live in central London for university it was way too busy and expensive to live there but definitely worth a visit

I was born in Stepney E .1. Down the road was Whitechapel and around the back of the Whitechapel Underground Station, Jack the Ripper killed his first victim in 1888. I went to Harry Gosling School, where another victim was murdered in the now, playground. Then, I worked in Mitre Square, a third victim was also murdered there. My cousin lived in Hanbury Street, another murder site and my father was born in Dorset Street, the final victims murder occurred there !!!

Sometimes things are not meant to be. Who wants to see London when it isn't in its truest form? lol I was in London back in 2001. I was teaching music at an overnight camp to kids learning English for the first time. We were based in Hurstierpoint College. I was dropped off with 12 teenagers and a map in the center of London with only "Good Luck!" for directions! How far from London are you personally located?

What this video showed the best - besides the beauty of London - was that perfectly made plans can go sideways fast and it’s how you deal with it and keep a positive attitude. Really enjoyed it but I am confused - so you said fish and chips near tourist places are not the best - so you go to McDonald’s!? Please tell me there’s a third choice near tourist spots so I’ll know when I visit! As always, enjoyed the video!

Mate, please stop telling your American viewers that it rains all the time in London, it really doesn't! We have a hard time trying to convince them on the TripAdvisor London Forum that they really don't need to bring a ton of waterproof gear and wellies on their trips to London, which is what they think they need to do because of what they've heard! 😄
I've been introduced to your channel through your cruise videos. But lately, I have been enjoying just your general travel videos. I am enjoying your videos about London as I am going to be sailing on the Norwegian Prima in August 2025 from Reykjavik to the port near London. Yes, in a solo Studio cabin. I will then take the train to Glasgow And meet my best friend after she spreads her mom's ashes in hometown. We will tour around the area, then come back down to London for a week. I collect unique mugs and Christmas ornaments, so I will check out the Tower Shop. Are there any other stores that you would recommend for unique mugs and/or ornaments? 🫶 from 🇨🇦

Oh, I must respectfully disagree! It wasn't a fail day at all. You showed what it was like on a really busy day. And that's important to know! If that's not your cup of tea (haha) then you should be prepared not to visit at certain times.
It sounds corny, but I want to go to an authentic British pub in London. Not a touristy place, but someplace that's been in business for hundreds of years and is dark and maybe a little musty with a lineup of tasty ales on tap. 🍻❤️🤗
