Why don’t you guys sit more to the middle, so you don’t have to run so far when a fish bites?

I sit to one end of the rod spread because I find it easier to see bites from the side than directly behind the rods. Also where we fish the beach runs east/west so by sitting to one end of the spread or the other especially morning and evening keeps the sun to your back and out of your eyes.
