Yeah buddy, I like this video. Having them boys fightin in the background just adds to the downhome charm.....And I liked the "Beat the shit out of it" advice from the cook.
Nice video, it's also scarily enough one of the few country fried steak recipes where someone ACTUALLY SEASONS THE DAMN STEAK as well as the flour. I've tried a lot of recipes that just say "oh a little salt and pepper will do" and the steak tastes like absolutely nothing along with the coating. Excellent work man.
You are a great cook! Find me chicken fried steak at home too I usually use whole milk or half-and-half for the gravy but I will try the evaporated milk
If you don't like his videos, move along. His kids are in most of his videos. You can here him fine. Keep doing what your doing. I've actually seen comments where people like hearing your kids in the background. I'm making this right now but with cube steaks cause that's all I have right now. The rest I'm following to the tee. Will try good steaks next time.
I never thought to use evaporated milk, that's a great idea! I always start with adding heavy cream and then milk. I love hearing your kids in the background, its always a blessing to have a home full of life! Can't wait to make this for my husband, its his favorite.
I'm a cooking country girl that likes to check out other home cooks - this vid was funny & gets a big HELLZ yeah! I enjoyed the lil darlings doing what they do too - pay us no mind as we do what we do! This is how folx cook & sip!
I love hearing the kids in the background. Also impressed with it being fork tender! Good job and makes my mouth water at the end lol. Lucky family to enjoy your cooking.
I'm a mother myself, every meal I cook is accompanied by my children screaming and playing. I honestly didn't even notice the kids until I read the comments, haha. Guess I'm just use to the sounds of little ones having a good time. :) As for the food, just like my great grandma use to make! So delicious.
I have recently found also a kitchen device which is called "Fast Cutlet Maker V2" that smash the meat lobes and form clear cube pattern on it. It's mostly popular in Poland.
Thank you for this. I grew up in GA. It was always called, "Country Fried Steak" when I was a kid. And this is how my gramma cooked it! God bless you - keep it coming!
🥰🌹🕊🙏❤👸😇😁👽 Love making this myself. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Yum. Sincerely Jacqueline Trimm Syme Hamblen Morrison family bloodline or Jaqui Twirl. ❤🌹🕊👸😇😁👽💪
Dam Good video !! that looks great ! Thanks for putting that out there for all of us to enjoy. I've got a glass top stove, not supposed to use a cast iron Skillet so I'm gonna do this on the grill (charcoal) that is, Not much on Gas grill Kinda like and out door stove to me. I cant wait to try this
I love everything about this video. The kiddos in the background were dying to eat this. If I had to beef about something, It would be the smacking of lips. Just a peeve of mine. Everything else is awesome!
I grew up in Oklahoma and I have always loved Country Fried Steak. I live in Indiana now and have not had a good one since I moved here. After watching your video, I decided to be brave and cook some for me and my husband. This video made my mouth water! Thanks for all your videos!
I have not enjoyed such a down to earth cooking program since Justin Wilson’s Louisiana Cooking on PBS back in the day. Your style and presentation is as pure and simple as Mountain Dew that’s fresh from the hooch still. ThankYou, My Friend.🤜🤛
I tell ya' what. As soon as you started bring that steak up to the camera I started opening my mouth... both times. Hello. Felt like I was there. I'm Southern raised and love some good southern cookin'. Great video and awesome ambient noise (the family in the background). I will be trying this recipe in the coming days and post some photos. Thanks again.
I enjoy cooking videos like this one by regular folks. I don't like how the "cooking shows" act like you have to do it _precisely_ the way they do it. Many times they seem to want to let on like they are such experts, and if you don't do it _exactly_ the way _they say_, then it's not going to be any good.
Hi,I'm going to make your country fried steak tonight,I sure wish u could make it for me though lol...is it OK if I use already mashed up steak/cubed steak?? Thanks for sharing all ur recipes,I'm going to try them all😘

I can remember my mother standing Forever at the kitchen counter with a wooden meat mallet like that with points. Pounding flour and salt and pepper into steak to make Swiss steak. One day the head of the mallet flew across the kitchen so she went and picked it up and stuff the paper towel in the opening and then put the handle back in she used it that way for years! :-)
You have a new fan and subscriber! Thus is the third video of yours that I watched and I'm trying them ALL! Keeper coming, sir! And your kids in the background add that extra pinch of HOME, don't change a thing!
Looks just like my Papaw's country fried steak, which he sadly took to the grave with him. No pasty, super-white fake gravy there. Just delicious. Of course, his was fried in lard.
Hi Pohto, I'm just curious, what type of oil do you use? Also, have you tried a little cayenne pepper in this recipe? I saw this on another video, I might try some to give the meal some kick! I am going to follow your recipe and try it this week!
You can't see it but when you beat meat with a mallet, meat juices shoot everywhere, trust me. My GF got on my case when I did this at her place without covering the meat with cellophane. So to prove her wrong I took a box and leaving the bottom open, I surrounded the chopping block with cardboard and it looked like a war zone when I was done - proving me wrong. So cover it with cellophane. But otherwise I used your recipe and it was perfect. Thanks! Also, to note: my mom showed me a trick. Since most of the solids float to the bottom after the cook, she would spoon up the oil she wanted to keep. Then she would pour out the rest. Next, since paper towels are lousy at removing the crud, she would toss in a little expired flour and let it absorb it. Then with her spatula she would toss it in the trash. Then add the saved oil and fresh flour.
any milk will work..evaporated milk just makes a richer gravy
I love this! All the way from Africa! Im cooking this for dinner!
MainMan1274 bruh wtf
Yeah buddy, I like this video. Having them boys fightin in the background just adds to the downhome charm.....And I liked the "Beat the shit out of it" advice from the cook.

Looks freaking good, I love your kids in the background, it's like I am in the living room waiting for this to get done. Keep it up.
I like that the noise doesn't seem to bother him. He's too busy making the worlds best chicken fried steak to notice.
You are a great cook! Find me chicken fried steak at home too I usually use whole milk or half-and-half for the gravy but I will try the evaporated milk
and we are gunna beat it.. yup beat the shit outa it. hahahha!

Wow. Controlling. Hope that works out for you long term.
Why is there Nigerian music in the background! I love this.
You sound like "Hank" from King Of The Hill lol..
"We're gonna beat it. And we're gonna beat the shit out of it!" Lol! Awesome!
Benjamin Swanson the original meaning to beating your meat lol. Seriously, wouldn't cubed steak be easier?
I never thought to use evaporated milk, that's a great idea! I always start with adding heavy cream and then milk. I love hearing your kids in the background, its always a blessing to have a home full of life! Can't wait to make this for my husband, its his favorite.

Looks amazing!
P.S. to get your evaporated milk out of the can, make a small hole on the opposite side of the lid to let the air in.
Looks amazing! I've never seen gravy using evaporated milk but the texture looks great. Quite brilliant. Will definitely have to try this soon.
I never used evaporated milk in my gravy. Trying it tonight. Looks delicious!

sirloin steaks work great , pork steaks run through the tenderizer work nice too. good gravy technique.
I loved the recipe. I've raised 6 kids so it was also cool to hear all the 'family sounds' in the background : )
This guy is the real deal!!! I really enjoyed this!!!
I'm a mother myself, every meal I cook is accompanied by my children screaming and playing. I honestly didn't even notice the kids until I read the comments, haha. Guess I'm just use to the sounds of little ones having a good time. :)
