my still under warranty ipad 9 gets insanely hot so much so, it’s painful to hold and I have a high pain threshold. I live in a hot area but surely Apple tests for that. Won’t charge over 80% unless I’m in an AC room. I don’t use a case btw. Also the screen brightens unwantingly

@@sagnikmondal3915 I feel like this is a normal behavior in any iPad. I read somewhere that since the iPad has no cooling mechanism, the high perf of its processors causes the heating issue. Maybe if you do gaming or heavy use in an AC room, the temp will cool down. I really cannot recommend any solution but if you are worried you can contact the Apple support or bring it to the nearest Apple store or service provider.
@@sagnikmondal3915 you can go to Settings, General, Limited Warranty (right under Serial Number). Here in the Philippines I had several cases of broken iPhones and one iPad (mini 5) replaced with brand new units since it had issues covered by the warranty. I suggest you bring it to them immediately if you want some peace of mind hehe.

Few things comes to mind, have a fan blow air directly at the ipad, good alternative if air conditioning hits your wallet way to hard. I play genshin impact and it's fairly taxing on the M1 11 inch and that's what I do to keep the ipad cool and consistent 60fps. Having the ipad on a flat surface doesn't help because you need airflow and well basically your not letting air flow around the back of the ipad. I'm new to the tablet scene but I apply these principles with my gaming desktop (remove the side panel) and it stays way cooler than having it closed. That or reduce your graphics to have better frame data.

Then when I turn it off I would go to a different app it will do the same thing I don't know what the issue is because it never done this before I updated every app clear the cache can installing new apps cause my tablet to heat up

i'm just watching videos here on UA-cam. Not even high quality. And my iPad is so hot I can barely touch it. and this is coming from someone who works on 900° jet engines.
In the last month my old iPad mini looses often the WiFi and only rebooting 2 or 3 times I solve the problem for some minutes... It happens more when under charge 🤔 so I noticed it is a bit hot. So I put it next to a fan and it works perfectly in a few minutes and it stop to bother me again. But it is not comfortable... And I am thinking to buy on lazada one little fan that I can apply on his back... It is not too much expensive,, only 15 euro.... I don't like to buy there, I prefer a phisic shop, but unfortunately there in not any shop that have this product in my town.... So I will have to try to order it soon..
