    Why does this video NOT have over 400,000 views?
    This video was FULL of tutorial information. I never even heard of plastic weld before.
    Thank you!

    so the air compressor could keep up with that mini paint sprayer you used, have you since tried a full size sprayer with that compressor? and can that compressor keep up the pressure for a disc grinder and related shop air devices ? that silver is a diffecult color to get right you did a fantastic job.

    I wish you would list the products you used in your description. Again, I went to go find the spot putty you use on in the video and couldn't find it on Speedokote's website...

    GOT Damn!!!! Man, that looks awesome. Don't need it, but would you recommend opening up that plastic break so the new plastic adheres better in the V? Thanks for the confirmation on the compressor!

      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  4 роки тому +1

      Meehh all depends on the job. It's obviously best to weld both sides of the bumper, but I got away with just doing the one side.

  • @jof393
    @jof393 4 місяці тому

    A wood burning kit and some zip ties to melt are pretty decent in a pinch. LOL. Great job, man!

  • @realestreaIist
    @realestreaIist 2 роки тому +1

    Looks great for an at home job, but as an autobody technician of 15 yrs I can say that is not how you plastic weld...correctly. it's a handful of screws and the bumper comes off and you're supposed to weld it from both sides and melt a ridgid metal screen or use a plastic stitching tool on the back side. If you so much as lean on that bumper it will crack again.

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  2 роки тому

      Absolutely yes you HAVE TO weld from both sides to get the best job. Agree. I went to school for auto body at 17 I'm now 29, one thing a lot of techs don't understand is if someone only has a certain amount (within reason) to get something done and you refuse it that's money walking out the door.

    • @realestreaIist
      @realestreaIist 2 роки тому

      @@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 I agree bro, money is money. To do it the way I mentioned would cost someone twice the amount as what you did there. Not everyone can take off their bumper. This is a great way to fix it at home with pretty nice results.

    Just found ur channel and watched a few vidZ now. Great content and excited to go back and watch more! I’m a painter as well, using a small compressor and low CFM gunZ. Looks like we use some of the same equipment too, Bellaria, MPS cups🤘🏻, purp HF gun for primer. Surprised that compressor can keep up with the Bellaria. Oh, and I drive a Lexus too, 😂. Looking forward to more of ur vidZ man!!!,

      Thanks bro. I usually use my Mark1 refinish pro kit. But sometimes for bumper jobs I'll just grab my iwata or another gun I don't care about, will not even clean it between base and clear and just let the stuff fly lol.

    Nice work! Seems like that McGraw would be decent for a home garage, maybe decent to paint a car panel by panel so it can keep up

    I gave a question about the blender.. you say mix 50/50.. or 1:1 but does that include base harder?? Or just base only??

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  3 роки тому +1

      Reduce color blender 1:1 with reducer... Then add desired about of already mixed basecoat . For a more translucent finish for blends add less base , for a little stronger color but still translucent finish you can mix this 1:1 . Will do another video on this

    After plastic weld did you use an epoxy resin that would flex? Also the paint n clear have flex additive? Just wondering I figured it being plastic bumper it would flex alot and I know from past experience without using those products may wind up with spider cracks...

      The McGraw is 5 cfm @40psi is it good enough to do full cars if you have to. Or I might be better off getting the 29gallon with 7.3 cfm @40 rating for $369 at harbor freight. Won’t be doing much. I’m going to respray my bike. Love the videos and the quick responses. AWESOME!!!
