I made Akara for the first time- came out beautifully and floated. The taste was amazing. I washed it with Nanaaba's grapefruit and pineapple juice- I loved the combination. My family loved Akara and first time they ate it😘😘
All the koose recipe I’ve seen have the shells removed. I love this recipe. No need to get rid of the shell. I love the trick to making it fluffy. That turned out perfect 😍 Used to eat this a lot when I was in the village. Missing home ❤️
Looks so good and yummy- I’m glad to see the beans unpeeled. I was taught to peel which was a lot of work so it’s good to know you don’t have to always peel- thanks girl- I’m cooking this over the weekend
This makes me miss Ghana so much 😭 but I never had koose with porridge. We usually had it on Sunday after church with some chilli powder and asana drink! So delicious 😋
I'm a new subscriber, recommended by my daughter...and am so glad Akara is the first video am watching. Oooo am definitely going to make some real soon, 😋 I too love them in a sandwich! I didn't realize how easy it was to make until today. Thanks for sharing. Bless you 💜💥💜
👀. Are you Kidding me, making akara with unpeeled beans. 🤔 Will definitely try it, not a fan of peeling beans. This looks amazing. Greetings from Nigeria where we enjoy akara with pap.
I've learnt a new method I was taught to wash the beans off dirt and dry then grind into powder then follow the process of adding the spices an egg whisk and fry...this is how I was taught but I'll try this

Can we use canned black eyed peas?
I wouldn't use canned black eyed peas because a lot of the fiber has been removed. Plus it's heavy in salt.
