I understand that you're gen-z and gen-z aren't the greatest at understanding things, but Quake 2 was programmed before skeletal animations or any other sort of animation interpolation at all. To describe it better, because I literally animated 3d meshes for Quake mods, you have to drag each vertex to it's new position for each "frame" of animation and the software does none of it for you, so it's literally like 2d animation in 3d. All Quake animations typically are that way because of the excessive amount of work necessary to animate them better. If they aren't it's because somebody found either an automation procedure or a fork of the game that has some sort of skeletal animation function.
I like the idea, but the execution is terrible. The animations are super janky and the way they work is messed up. Esp since hitscan weapons now throw nails.
The chaingun seems too small, but overall nice models. Although some of the animations seem off- are you converting these to full 3d? Or is it a resolution discrepancy?

there was a russian FPS in the early 2000s called Firestarters where one of the playable characters had four arms and could fire four guns at once.
