@@HHGamingNetwork So with all this new information, how would you build Scyl of the Drakes? I'm running well over 4200 def on her. I'm guessing this is a huge waste.
As a finance and accounting guy who lives RPG type games, I absolutely love this. The math, with the content, amazing. Thank you for this. Hell Hades, really great job with your team and business.
As an idiot…A lot of this goes over my head but still, what I do understand it’s very informative, I can tell a lot of effort has gone into this video. Thanks and keep up the good work
So if i'm correct, if i have 3 guardian sets, damage taken by all my champions will be reduced by 10%+9%+8%, and that result in a 27% reduction. Bro so many crazy findings! i feel like my survivability spreadsheet have just been outdated in a second XD Great work!
I highly appreciate all the work put into this video. This might be a "The teachers way of teaching not working with my way of learning"-thing, but I for myself find it hard to follow some of these points. Maybe a little more highlighting in the spreadsheet and video editing in the demonstration would do the trick. edit: also the "Testing" section of the video seems to be out of sync, which is not a huge deal in general of course, though especially on demonstrative content it makes following points harder.
Great video. Just a few additional clarifications: 1:52 I guess we don't know if Books (and Masteries) damage is ignored (e.g. in arena) in the transfer damage from testing on DT, as the waves don't have any books or masteries. Perhaps only way is to wait for live PVP.... 7:24 Although Bulwark does not stack, a 2nd Bulwark champ does help to protect your main Bulwark champion (i.e. if Ursuga and Maulie both have Bulwark, although Ursuga as lead does take Bulwark from everyone else, if Ursuga is attacked, Maulie's Bulwark does proc). This does have some use as we've discussed how Bulwark has some "missing" damage.
@@HHGamingNetworkSo all this is amazing, but as a new player this has just gone completely over my head! Too much information lol. So in Arena, if 2 champs Run Bulwark. The lead my second. The lead (to reduce enemy nukes) and would the second proc if their attacking my lead? Also how does guardian work witn this, as I was hoping to run all 4 champions (defensive ones) with bulwark, and one with selfless defender (which I was going to use as my last champ) but it seems they need to be in the lead for it to work?
Really great first video for the new channel! As an engineer, I'm super into the numbers. Thanks for getting my nerd fix taken care of! Keep up the great work. I look forward to more content. Maybe you can get HH to spring for a camera so we can see you guys, ha!
I definitely appreciate this type of research and breakdown of things and it's very similar to how I do things at my job but I feel like it's only going to really be appreciated by a certain few.... either way I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into this and thankyou for it
This is super useful information!!… its very obvious that a lot of effort went into this… appreciate you sharing and explaining the mechanics, backed with some really good examples. 👍 Cant wait to see what you have come up with in regards to the optimal ratio for guardian/stalwart set for CB. I currently got a “2:1 team” equipped 1 with a poison set, 3 in stalwart, 1 in Guardian and was going to re-gear one with Guardian, but think I will wait and see if you got some more cool info to share first 😎…. (I know it will depend on the champs and comps)
Great video with a lot of crucial information. A small suggestion to improve the presentation is to zoom in on the excel sheet. It is hard to read the numbers on a phone. Keep up the good work
3:04 so just to be clear, let's say I have miscreated monster with ally protect up. Miscreated Monster will take more damage from the ally protect if MM has lots of crit damage and less damage if he has low CD?
Is there any chance this video could be done again with some short visuals to give more visual explanation of what is being said? Like what the Raid 101 videos do. It is great work but having the visuals would make this much easier to follow, and it would be clearer and more concise.
Thanks, this is really interesting! Wouldn´t it be even better to place the damage reduction Champ before the AP Champ to reduce the normal damage taken for him too (e.g. Clan Boss AOE), or did i miss something?
My question is having Stalwart on the ally protection champ (or other dmg reduction like Norog or Dutchess) reduce the dmg they receive from others in CB? What about if we put Stalwart on others, and not the ally protect champ? I'm asking this, since the way CB counteracts with Ally protect is very different compared to other content.
Awesome, thank you so so much, this really explained a lot and gave me a good idea on how to build ally protection into the team for CB P.s the value for Visix just skyrocketed in my mind, thinking of a Visix, Sandlashed survivor, Brogini (with guardian set) team base for CB
Terrible at maths myself, so thankful the big-brains like to flex and help out the shlubs, lol. If this makes it into the Optimiser it's going to be so helpful. Can't wait to try it out, thanks guys.
7:50 Its weird that when 2 champs have bulwark the 2nd is wasted. It would make sense if Position 1 protect Position 2 and position 2 protect everyone else.
Does this mean that if you didn't have ally protect up norags reduction would take place no matter team placement or that it only applies to people behind him even if there is no ally protect
I have a question does that mean i have to put my Iron Brago as a leader to give his passive defense increase to everyone or can he be last in team order and still give everyone incresed defense?
I have a question about Geomancer and Brogni's passive reflecting damage having the chance to proc Giant Slayer. If Toragi the Frog has Warmaster mastery would the 30% reflect damage buff on his A3 have a chance to proc Warmaster? I assume the reason why Brogni & Geomancer take Giant Slayer is because they are reflecting the damage from multiple sources. If that is correct it seems logical that a champion under a reflect damage buff could proc Warmaster since it is from a single source. If so any champion who receives a reflect damage buff (from champions like Runic Warder or Fellhound) that has Warmaster have a chance to proc Warmaster when taking damage?
Great video! I know the answer is going to likely very fluid based on team comp, but what would be a sweet spot for ally protector's crit dmg? Eg my tyrant is my protector in cb, his CD is in mid 100s and I'm dying turn 36-37 typically but he generally does about 5+ mil in dmg output. Before I do a complete re-haul, how much benefit would a CD of like 75% vs 100% compare to a 150% cd do you think?
Question regarding 2 selfless defenders: if champs 1 and 2 in turn order both have selfless defender and are hit by AOE, dont both selfless defenders proc? champ 2 protects champ 1 and other way around. Can we expand this assumption to any team order as long as lead champ has selfless defender? 2 selfless defenders will proc against the nuke aoe. Thank you very much for this content it was extremely informative and well presented.
Well done ! I've been waiting for someone to give an explanation as to how instead of the "we don't know why it works this way". You definitely got yourself a new Sub for the content. That being said, for example, my new CB team is going to be Martyr, Krisk, Brogni, Toragi, and Godseeker Anari would the turn order and positions be as follows : #1 Martyr #2 Krisk (Ally Protect in Guardian Set) #3 Brogni #4 Toragi (Ally Protect in Guardian Set) #5 Godseeker Anari And other than Krisk and Toragi, I would want to make sure that the others do NOT have Selfless Defender to ensure that Krisk and Toragi do not take unnecessary damage while Ally Protect is active ? Last question ... and I know I am getting ahead of your timetable here ... but can the Bulwark Set be used until you get adequate Guardian Set pieces ?
If i understand the passive reduction correctly. What you saying is that it only affects the Allied Protection dmg in what order they are ? It will still reduce 15% of the normal incoming dmg from all champions even if its in the last slot ?
I just found this video - it's great to clarify how things work. So my takeaway is that I should slap the ally protector in a stalwart set and then put as many guardian champs as possible before them in the initial team order (and only put Bulwark on one of them)? I tried looking for the next video mentioned but was unable to find it (maybe it was merged into some other content). Does anyone have link for it?
Good video but a couple of coments to help make future videos even better. 1) Voice and screen are a little out of synch. If you cant fix it with editing try to consider it when making the clip. It made some of it harder to follow as you would be on one thing and talking about another. 2) Dont assume we know all the champions names, icons and abilities. I lost a lot of info while trying to figure out which one was Norag and what you were using him for. 3) Also you mixed a few terms so would use different words. For example early or late turn order seems clear with early being go sooner so #1, #2, etc. But higher in order could be faster or refer to higher number and hence slower.
So, based on the interaction between ally protection and the protectors cdmg, would it then be best to not stack cdmg on that champ? Or does the dmg increase make up for a minimal amount that its not worth worrying about? I ask as I'm going to be using Versulf for def up and ally protect in cb, but I also want him to smack.... This seems it may be counter productive?
@@saphyrra8151 I guess that for standard dungeons. But in terms of cb, where the dmg is so small anyway, I wonder how much difference, if any, it really makes.
@@ruthlesspug seems like a fair point, maybe stacking more health on to the ally protector as long as he is not the stun target is a better strategy than soley reducing CD for CB purposes?
@@johnnyl4677 this is kind of the way my mind was going. In essence then, this would make hp based ally protect champs a more solid option so long as they aren't the stun target. Which I guess is why Toragi is S-tier for cb, but Versulf then also comes in at a higher regard, as you want his dmg as well as his ap and Inc def. With him also bringing Leech, he has a good way to mitigate the extra dmg he would take from having stacked cdmg.
@@HHGamingNetwork I agree with this. I recommend rather then explaining all then showing all at once, I would want to see explain then show, explain then show, explain then show, etc..
