Thom Yorke was at a standstill while recording ‘Fake Plastic Trees’. He’s on record saying he was afraid to show too much of himself, to be vulnerable. In the midst of recording FPT the band went to see Buckley (just Jeff and a guitar, no band). Thom was so moved he was inspired to finish the recording of FTP which now included the falsetto at the end ‘If I could beeeee who you wanted’. Apparently he was moved to heavy emotional tears after hearing it played back the first time.
@@yo-fv8okMojo Pin has been in my head for a week solid. 😂 It got me to check out some new reactions and here is where I landed. Thanks for the great reaction. ✌️
Some recommendations: - Mojo Pin - Live at Glastonbury - Halleluja - Official video (Live) or Live in Chicago - What Will You Say - Live at Glastonbury or Live in Frankfurt - The Way Young Lovers Do - Live at Siné
‘What Will You Say’ at Glastonbury is such a moving performance. There’s a YTube vid that has both ‘Mojo Pin’ and WWYS and I’m telling you, *that* shit is very much worth checking out

Thom Yorke’s head voice was inspired by seeing Jeff Buckley live, so you’re actually hearing Buckley in Yorke’s voice not the other way around 😊

Dream Brother (Live in Chicago)
Mojo Pin (Live at Glastonbury ‘95)

@@ptbempire The Mystery White Boy and Glastonbury ‘95 versions of What Will You Say are superior to the Frankfurt version.

If you want an interesting live album from him at his peak then i recommend the "MYSTERY WHITE BOY TOUR". Lots of solid stuff on there.
