This dragon ball sparking zero guide should be able to help a lot of players who need a better understanding of the tutorial and how to a sparking zero combo. My favorite character in dbz and one of my personal mains in Sparking Zero is future gohan. My boi didn't have a lot of screentime, but his impact on me as a character made me love present timeline gohan even more. And if this gets pinned. That teleport smash that you did is in the tutorial. They call it perfect smash. You wait for the glow when hold the smash button, then release when they glow. I think the most important thing is that you cant use the same rush combo string twice in a row or the combo will end.

@@codiejones4584 yea! glad I could help. So, for example, if you do square, square, triangle two times, the combo ends. so, you want to do something like square, square, triangle followed by square triangle or any other combination. Each character has different moves, so I HIGHLY recommend looking at character explanations in training and seeing what that specific character can end the combo with. i usually look for something that sends them flying back to i can use a skill.
TLDR: Basically, Heavy Finish, Ki Blast Cannon, Flying Kick, Rolling Hammer, Blaster Wave and Ki Rush Wave are all Rush Chain attacks that can be chained together with the exception of Ki Rush Wave due to the pushback that knocks them down. You cannot do the same Rush Chain ender twice or it will knock them away. Every character has a Ground Slash (down+2 after step in, jump or rush attack) and a Lift Strike (up+2 after step in, jump, rush attack) that leads to a follow up combo as well.
These are all things carried over from Tenkaichi 3 and these games are much MUCH more than just mashing the square button and spamming super/ultimate moves over and over lol. These games have always had a ton of depth and i’m glad there is a modern Tenkaichi game that can wake up casual folks to see there more this game has to offer and has a very deep combat system.

Great tutorial! My whole goku arc and all of the offline tournaments that I beat on day 2 have all consisted of getting into sparking mode and spamming the hell out of punch until they try to counter, block to dash behind them, then hit again to stun them and hit an ultimate. I'm so excited to go home and try some actual combos to get some variation😂

Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Haven't played the game yet but pretty much all gameplay I've seen people are just doing the same generic button mash combo and I was worried about how it would play. Looks way more fun when you get into the actual combos though.

What is that stun attack that you are doing? I don’t know what that is, it looks like a charge melee but I’m not sure how to do it. 8:18
Yeah! It’s called heavy finish! Each character has one but also does it differently. Pick a character in practice mode? And go to their explanation when you press pause and look for their moveset and look for “heavy finish” and it’ll show you how to do it.
Something i thiught was real cool is, if you use say gohan, if get close to opponent an hit x and point left or right on stick and tap r1 he will do a slide dodge. have be on ground to do it ..looks super dope using the fusions

At 3:32 after the heavy finish, are you hitting x then Y up? Or x and then x up? And then how are you teleporting to them after you kick them upwards?
Nvm. It’s x+y up and then you press a then y. Then grab into super attack. Thanks for teaching us. Turtle academy approved haha

Something the video should do is have the inputs on the screen or in the description with the time stamp. Also with what control scheme you're doing. Naming the moves is good and all for 80% but when you go into knocking them up and and teleporting into a gut punch which I don't know what move that is @ 3:34 to keep them stunned. Just some feedback for ya.

I saw a guy post a vid of 20 hit up combos. Listen that’s cool but if +10 rarely doesn’t work on the story cpu it’s not working with someone with thumbs 😂

The story gets waaaaaay more cracked than what anyone with thumbs can even do. I beat Goku's story, and got stuck on black's. Even in Goku's, a lot of it seems like luck and rng. My last one, I was fused Zamasu vs Vegito. Literally got caught in a z counter chain that was so long, it took ALL my ki, theirs never even dropped. He starts spamming rush smashes on me, knocking me back and forth like he's playing a game of one man volleyball, never running out of ki. I try to revenge counter, he counters the revenge counter and resumes his volleyball game until my body was demoted to "corpse".. I then immediately put in a refund request, because this is bullshit.

Hi ! Been practicing some combos with goku mid and i noticed that sometimes the combo does 24k but sometimes it does 15k, you mustve noticed that the goku at the beggining did a whooping 18k while vegeta did 13k, was wondering if you knew what could influlece the damage so much ? (Again its the exact same combo ,maybe with a few missing x's at some occasions but it was pretty much the same, yet it did two diff results)

So fun fact: the distructo disk used to be a bug for goku. Because they never gave him a charge jumping ki attack the game just defaults to destructo disk.

Yes please help 😅. I've been playing traditional FGC titles for 5 years, last time I played in arena Fighter was the original Budokai when I was 6 years old. So I'm super lost as to what the flow of this game is like, movement, combos, etc.

Yeah each character is completely different! Like goku base square and triangle is heavy finish but when he transforms into super saiyan, his square triangle becomes flying kicks.

So when you’re hitting them right? Idk what system you’re on but I’m on PlayStation. So it can be square one time two times three times or even four times but after you hit them press up triangle to knee them up then press x to jump to them and press triangle again to knee them. If you mean another combo lol can you time stamp?

(Cuz I remember back in BT3 we used to be able to keep vanishing over n over n over till we wanna stop/run outta ki or the opp vanishes behind us.)
Yeahhh if I’m not mistaken it wasn’t unlimited in T3 either lol. When you had max blue ki you had more vanishes but it always ended with a blast your character would do lol so only difference is on T3 you were able to quick dash to them after sending flying to reset the combo. Cant on here. Far as my knowledge
If you put the dummy to block there's no gap to chain all of this

How are you chaining ki cannon into the heavy finish is there an input in between or is it just timing?
Like after ki cannon when I do it my opponent is a pretty good distance
I normally chain heavy finish into Ki cannon because like you said Ki cannon pushes you back. After Ki cannon though you can constantly keep pressing square

I wanted to ask you since you seem to be an expert, compared to me who never interacted with Dragon Ball media before 😅. Is there advantage to classic control scheme or is it all just preference?
I personally believe it’s just a preference in my opinion. I grew up playing tenkaichi lol and this was the normal control scheme
@@DracoWolf_ Okay. Thanks. Because in SF6 or Tekken if you choose Standard/Easier controls, it will be easier for you to make combos BUT the trade off is that you cant do as many combos and you are very limited in how many moves you can do. Its not anything like it in this game though, right?
@@sclipta yeah not to knowledge. SF6 was definitely for like if you picked modern it took away from actually playing SF6 and doing some of the classic inputs and what not. Which limited characters imo. This time is literally just a preference. I do classic though.

Once you’re hitting your opponent? Press the guard button. Idk what controls you use but for me when I’m hitting square, I press circle and a direction I wanna teleport to.

@DracoWolf_ same I'm over here in battle practice with each fighters on how to utilize their combos. I remember with BT3 seem more easier remembering all the characters combo set like it's second nature. But now you have to really remember on 182 characters fighting styles

The sonic sway should be with the dash button and then O or B depending on your controller. Only works close range

How to get out of character who is comboing you for all the time while they are in Sparking Mode?
Sad to say if it’s from behind? Cant do anything unless you have a character that has like explosive wave or something lmao. If it’s from the front? Double tap L1 to revenge counter but it requires two skill points

I hate that the triangle/y press in rush attacks don’t combo on hit, I don’t play these kind of games I play actual fighting games and don’t understand why these buttons have properties that will launch the opponent but don’t actually combo
Up triangle actually launches them into the air lol triangle is just a part of your combo strings and heavies. They really help with the flow of combos in my opinion lol. Especially for resets and stuff

@sonic-bb there’s a difference between telling and actually showing fam lmao that’s what I’m saying. The combo I did with vegeta and goku is not in the tutorial. Seeing them visually sometimes helps people better with understanding
I've got trouble with activating abilities during combos... Ill be trying to trigger my ultimate and my character just wiggles.... By the time I can cast they've recovered.
That’s weird. Are you down the L2 triangle down? They normally come out
there's weird timing to it. If you try to press to soon it won't read the super. It'll read whatever the button is usually and do that instead. So too soon is a missed input and to late is recovery. Hope this helps. Good luck

Oh!! Okay! So that knock up teleport? Press up triangle and press X to jump up to them which causes you to teleport to them. You can press triangle again to heavy smash them. To do that multiple teleport thing? Just hit them with a charged attack holding square then keep pressing triangle after to teleport hitting them.

It’s called rolling hammer. Not every character has this so make sure to check their moves before you go fight someone.

You mean after that sweep kick? When they’re like laying down? Up triangle only when they’re laying down.

So after the ki cannon hits? Don’t hold the ki cannon just tap it then go back to hitting them. The dash animation happens automatically lol. So basically ki cannon. Then back to pressing square or whatever system you’re on.

For the life of me I can’t do the overhead smash ender after dashing after a lift strike in a combo that allows for follow up attacks and I’m not using the same rush chain twice or more than 1 heavy finish , can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong

@@DracoWolf_ every time I dash in after the lift strike I hit square square triangle but it either knocks em away leaving em close to me or starts another rush chain. I tried doing square triangle and square square down triangle too and nothing is giving me that ender I’m tryna do

@@DracoWolf_ after the grab is joystick up and triangle right idk im fighting base vegeta and i managed to get 20k once but i cant do it again it was with Kamehameha
