- This video shows simulation of a dry-start for such a Shell and tube heat exchanger where Coldwater entered the tubes at 20°C and hot water entered the shell side at 100 °C.
Slight pressurization ensures that the water doesn't boil, and the model predicts the dry-start behavior as well as the resultant outlet temperatures.
Simulation also shows construction, basic design, component, working principle of a Shell and tube heat exchanger

It's great but tube side outlet temperature should decrease and then it becomes constant . But in the video it is increasing and then becoming constant . How is it possible
That's the purpose of heat exchanger. Cooling medium heats up while the heating medium cools down. The cooling medium is in the tube side, while the heating medium is in the shell side.
@@fn326he's right. It doesn't make sense. The heated medium should be decreasing in temperature not increasing
