- Wanted to take today to discuss some leaks and rumors in the Nintendo community and how I'm personally getting a little tired of them in all honesty.

Thank you for saying this I 100% agree.People keep clickbaiting these code name leaks and act like they’ve confirmed so much. Midori says code name and “3D MARIO CONFIRMED FOR TOMORROW!?” People are blowing this out of proportion, and we should just chill until at the least after the June direct.

@@BoTalksGames Exactly! Like of course we’re getting another Splatoon. Something more interesting would’ve been if we get a code name for Punch Out or Kid Icarus, because those are franchises we don’t get often.
There is a larger percentage of the Nintendo UA-cam space that are just grifters. They don't play games, they don't follow the industry, they don't interact with the community... they just farm content and like to hear themselves talk. Midori is just easy content for these clowns.
The Dragon Quest 3HD stuff is what annoyed me first. Her first post was just before the DQ anniversary and SE usually announces something that day.... so that was like taking credit for predicting a Pokemon Direct on Pokemon Day. Then, her posts about its details all came later, after many others were already speculating the same things about it based on the teaser. The grifters all just took Midori's posts as gospel, many of them didn't even acknowledge the teaser trailer at all.
I miss the days when the phrase "Take it with a grain of salt" held weight as a disclaimer.
Thank you Bo for your intellectual honesty. You are one of the only "Nintendo youtubers" I follow that has the integrity and agency to resist the siren's call of easy, low quality content.
I'm glad you said this, I mean it's cool we know about the games coming but I literally thinking "Are we really getting hyped over codenames now?" especially when the information is so obvious 😂
I honestly find these rumors annoying as hell, The people that make these types of rumors don't even work for Nintendo!
Yeah it does get annoying especially if Nintendo has some suprises in store for the Nintendo Direct.
@@FTChomp9980 I think we should wait until after the direct to speculate on these codenames. Because if we get a new Mario party and new 2D Zelda game in the direct then maybe these codename tweets mean the games are close to release. At this point though, yeah obviously all of Nintendo’s studios are working on games!

I do enjoy hearing people’s ideas on what could show up, but I absolutely agree with you, Bo. So much of these speculations are obvious, and many of them have been recycled over and over. Not to mention the people who STILL think we’re getting a Switch 2 game in the Direct. I don’t wanna say the community’s getting toxic, but it’s sure starting to feel that way.
Either way, your perspective is very levelheaded and therefore, you just got a new subscriber 👍

My annoyance comes from people making crazy assumptions based on the names. Like many people thinking Legacy is xc4 when Future Redeemed was literally just last year, or even something Zelda related which is also quite the stretch.
Legacy is too simplistic for a new xeno game. Probably a spin off that fans will be mad.
I think Legacy will be a new Monolith IP based on that concept art of a medieval world we saw years ago
@@PixelPikmin Newer titles for an IP always had a larger mixed names. Their new IP wouldn’t be ready for a 2025 launch.

I think the worst part of this rumors is that people and specially youtubers are going to bring them up over and over and over again. We got another Metroid prime trilogy and Zelda HD rumor cycle in our hands and I'm not looking forward to it
I've been enjoying the Midori leaks, but yeah, doesn't mean everything is guaranteed 100% to happen the way people expect them to 😅

Yeah I’ve unsubscribed from so many Nintendo channels because all they talk about are these leaks and it’s tiring
The biggest question remains:
When will the June direct happen?
Maybe on a Tuesday? Sony already went first and then Microsoft will shine too and Nintendo always being last.
It could be next week but I’m expecting Wednesday/Thursday on June 19/20
I don’t think it’ll be next week. Pyoro always tweets around a week before a direct, which he hasn’t done. So I’m assuming it won’t be until the week of June 17th-20th
This is why you're lowkey my favorite Nintendo UA-camr, I find that you and I are on the same wave length. I 100% agree with you. Like you said, no hate to Midori, I understand that she has a major reputation of being right in the Sega and Persona leaker space. I even followed her on her Persona leaks myself. And while I don't doubt her Nintendo insider leaks, they've been such nothing burgers imo. And I guess I should say, it's not really her fault for tweeting such vague information but the fault of the, I'll just say it, dumbass fans and youtubers taking her one sentence tweet about a Nintendo code name and saying "omfg, new game releasing next year". And its just really dumb and people really need to go read a book about game development because yes, every Nintendo game franchise is being worked on, we don't need vague code names that doesn't mean anything at the moment to tell us that. I guess I wish people were just a little bit smarter and not make a big deal about nothing essentially.
yeah, the codenames for best selling franchises mean nothing since there is a higher chance for those games to appear.
If there are codenames for obscure titles like, kid icarus, fzero and any games that have no sequels on the switch, then those can be interesting.
It's also funny because these people should know Nintendo loves to sit on finished games. Just because we're aware of a codename, doesn't mean the game is coming out anytime soon.

These leaks and rumors always annoyed me because I always feel like it ruins the surprise for new games. I want to blindly looks at new upcoming games I've never seen before, not be spoiled by the rumors and leaks. People always treat these leaks as like "ooooooh, this game is gonna happen." or "Oooooh, this game will come out in 2025", when they don't think deeply about the leaks to see if it's true or not. Looking at you, Nin10doland!!!!

I think the fact Midori is hearing about a bunch of codenames, and expecting a 3D mario early 2025... makes people think, the rest of the games are within a year range.
Im glad someone is talking about this. Reading people jumping on these codenames and hyping them up like theyre some big reveal has been baffling. We dont need leakers to confirm they are working on new entries of some of their best selling and most popular series.
Now, if they are working on new entries to something like Custom robo, Golden sun, eternal darkness, kid icarus, hell, maybe even ARMS, that entirely more interesting.
Midori is an industry's plant same as pyoro
The Leaks can go both ways:
1.Can drum up hype!
2.Ruin the Suprise!
I have no problem with leaks especially with Pokemon side of things for Nintendo leaks I am bit mixed on it because I liked being suprised from Nintendo. But yeah fans can overhype sometimes the Nintendo Fandom we do that a lot!
Pyoro is short term, Midori is long term.
The only person I think is good at leaking right now is Pyoro, because they tease the information, they make a game out of it. It’s still fun to engage with their information.

I’m getting tired of hearing about WW/ Twilight Princess coming to switch rumors that they are going to be at the next direct, then the next one and the cycle repeats

@@BoTalksGames unfortunately. I like to be surprised at directs though but this particular rumor needs to be put to bed. Switch 2 sure but I doubt they’ll put it on the Switch.

Me personally i ignore leaks, ever since the smash ultimate “grinch leak” i quit listening to all that stuff. Not all channels on UA-cam but a good majority of them that’s all their content is. I feel like some channels just post leak videos with flashy thumbnails just to get clicks and views. Those are the people i avoid.
The Smash Grinch Leak was insane. I don't think anyone ever owned up to making it either lmao
Im also tired of this codename thing. They tell us nothing about release timing or are really obvious things like, 3D mario is in development, stop the presses.

Once Jon from GVG showed how incredibly easy it is to be a "leaker" I just stopped listening to leaks. I kept seeing Pyoro pop up and I am 100% dure he had a source but it is most certainly gone now. Even Pokemon leaker Khu lost his source so even "reliable" leakers only have a lifespan of like a year so it's just a time clock

I can't care about these code name leaks. I am sure they will be games that exist, but probably nothing what people are guessing.
The only reason I watch slop videos like that is because I deleted Twitter/they for some reason made Twitter unusable if you didn’t have an account. And even then I only watch like the first minute then immediately click off

I dont hate leaks and rumors but about leaks i can hate them just like when the gta 6 trailer leaked like a day or half a day before the original launch i hate that it such a great thing and it only takes people a view hours of waiting and you leak it that is really sad... But if we get a "Switch 2" Leak about how its porbably going to be called i dont hate that i like that but if the reveal trailer or the release teaser or what ever nintendo has planned for it gets leaked like a view days before original show off i dont like that

Very improper decision to make another Splatoon game. Let the franchise rest, as most nintendo fans would agree.
No reason why we got three splatoon games before a new DK game. Fine games, just overdone at this point
Splatoon 4 in like 2027 would be so much better, it needs time to breathe
It's the one franchise I want see again soon. It's their biggest franchise that we haven't seen a generational leap in power yet. Let it be the only game from the series on the new system.

Sorry but I don’t get the argument of the video. The crux of your argument was that the wider community is taking the leaks and just running with it but none claims they’ve made besides Splatoon 4 next year are too outrageous or unfounded . You say yourself that these were obviously being made by looking at dev history but doesn’t give credence that the leaks may be true? Also given midori track record it’s fair for people to use her leaks as confirmation /speculation for the upcoming line up of games. Switch 2 is on the horizon and knowing the lineup for future games gives people hype and interest for the console. I’d rather a community that speculates wildly than a community that’s constantly complaining about a lack of games/info.
