The purple head from Megatron, is a call back to his first appearance in GI Joe. After being rebuilt. They also made what could be considered a deluxe figure around that time. Where the colors were black and purple. And supported a similar head sculpt. Also the alligator from this wave. Is from a G1 episode. Where Optimus Prime was disassembled. And turned into that form. If memory serves, it's when the Decepticons took over the city of New York? Just looked it up to confirm. The episode was called City of Steel.
The crappy articulation is just astounding! Especially when you consider that most Masterpiece bots move infinitely better, and they manage to make them transform too I used to be a massive S7 fan, but so many of their ‘Ultimates’ have really turned me off them 😢 I’m not even especially convinced by their ‘cartoon accuracy’ (surely their main selling point), it’s almost like how someone has remembered them looking. The 86 Movie was pretty detailed (as far as I recall, haha). These are just a bit too in the style of
Yolopark as proven that this can be done so much better for nearly the same price. Super 7 needs to just stop with this line if they aren't going to put in any effort.
I bought Budgeon from Super 7 and it was the first and last Super 7 figure I'll ever buy. Even Hasbro make better, cartoon-accurate figures that are fully articulated and transform (and might even be cheaper). Super 7 aren't really respected or relevant to most of us Transformers collectors, from what I've read at the various TF discussion boards.
Tarn was a bit of a let down for me. I'm much happier with Legacy Tarn. The cannons dont stay on and the waist diaper and lack of ankle rock is pretty brutal given his bulk. Nickle helps.
Shouldve went Ark Autobot and Decepticon heavy for the first couple of waves. Id actually buy them if this wave was Wheeljack, Hound, Shockwave and Trailbreaker
Because S 7 continues to make joints that are useless, the figures are very expensive and they can't even move their heads, I still think they should make less expensive boxes and focus more on the figures. I don't want to be misunderstood, the figures are beautiful, but I think that somehow they don't offer what they should.
Did you ever review Ultimates Tracks from Super 7? I don't think I watched that review from their second wave man. That's the only figure I didn't preorder...
Very RARELY do I want an Action master style Transformer toy. But I am def gonna pick up the G2 Megatron, Alligatacon, an prob the ghost starscream, an Banzitron now. Just to have a few of these to mess with on my desk. Alligaticon might actually get displayed with my MP Constructicons when I get those just for giggles, lol.
They're have been at least two third party versions of this character. In both cases, they recoloured a third party version of the headmaster "Skullcruncher" and then added a remolded or repainted headmaster to look like Optimus Prime.
Something in my memory says that Wrek-Gar's belly compartment was where he stored the TV. During Titan's Return, I was toying with getting Skullcruncher and one of the prime heads, and custom paint my own.
I like Super7 Ultimates, but the character selections are a bad choice. I really think for 7” non transforming figures perhaps these would sell better if the line focused on characters with human like bodies: fembots, pretenders, Alpha Trion for example. I’d love see versions or Elita One, Pretender Starscream, Autobot Spike, stuff like that.

Yep, that green Megatron is noice...🤘🏼💯✔️
I like the G2 Megatron with the comic head because of my love for GI Joe man...😀💡

I picked Tarn up today. I think he's a awesome looking figure.

Aliigaticon will be amazing for $10-$17, so I’m holding out. Thanks for sharing.
I like that Alligatorcon... It's very original...
Does G2 Megatron scale well with 1995 Laser Optimus?
For Megatron they really should’ve cut the belt and had a hand with a tiny Cobra Commander standing in the palm.
For THAT cover.
The most puzzling wave super7 has done yet I think.

Super7 figures look like oversized Happy meal toys. They are not worth the ridiculous price they ask for them at all.
Just got my Wreck-Gar and G2 Megs, they're so nice in hand - real eye candy. Was curious to see what others thought of them, great review.
I was too old to get in to G2, but G2 Megatron is still a great figure. G1 came out when I was 9 years old.
Welp this is probably the closest thing I'll ever get to voyager tarn
As huge transformers fan . These figures are a major let down . I was a so excited . After each wave they become less desirable.
I was gonna get that G2 megatron but then I saw threezero’s version
Does the biker not have paint on his tan parts? Is that just plastic?
Tarn was trying to be Megatron

I don't understand why Super7 refuses to implement good articulation.
I have their wave 2 Megatron and I don't know what to think about the Grey yellowish color... I thought it will be more Grey like the cartoon...
Wait, Super7 also made a Transformers from the IDW comics? That’s new.

Also I do like G2 Megatron. I have the original figure and love it.
G2 Megatron is looking good
thanks for the review!
Tarn I'm the first to post lol
