Really like how Super 7 has references to multiple iterations of a character. G2 Megatron is probably my favorite version of the character and I love how this captures everything about his Comics design down to the screaming blue face. The sword I think was only featured on one of covers where he's allied with Prime though he could have used it in story. This is one of accessories I felt was really missing from the G2 Selects release though the Legacy Blitzwing sword makes a good substitute. Even without the transformation a really nice displayable figure and one I may pick up. Would love Super 7 to release a comics accurate Jhiaxus as that would be epic.
Great review as always. The comic book head really reminds me of Lou Ferrigno's Incredible Hulk. Quite a few repaint options for this figure: Archforce RID Bludgeon Robotmasters Reverse Convoy. Just give him the Convoy head. Given how similar their colour schemes and tank modes are, it would have been cool if they gave him a Brawl head. If people don't want another Megatron in their collection, he can be repurposed as Megastorm from Japanese Beast Wars. I picked up Banzai-tron from this line and it's a great figure. I'd been planning on picking up Bludgeon and after watching this video, I'll be picking up G2 Megatron as well. Hope we get more Actionmasters in the line such as Shockwave, Skyfall and Rollout.
@@PatriotPrimeReviews Yes. He's remarkably faithful to the original figure. He's essentially a scaled up and articulated version. Growing up, my only issue with Actionmasters were how small they were. Two of my favourite eras in Transformers are G2 and Actionmasters. We need more updates of both.
Hope the paint does not scratch the previous wave had issues. I canceled this pre order. He looks good but not sure may get the ThreeZero G2 recolor since they have better QC
Hahaha! The first thing I did when I got this guy was pop his head off to switch to the comic head and killed my hands trying...that sucked! I had to heat it up or I don't think I ever would've got a head back on. Oh, Megatron did use his sword in the G2 comics.
Agreed. So many recent Transformers could have used alternate heads: Broadside Pointblank Dead End Dragstrip The Legacy Pretenders The upcoming Sandstorm
What's weird to me is the colors are not toy or comicbook accurate. For some reason Super7 made him more bright/neon that it's should. :/ And no G2 logo anywhere?
It's a real shame that the articulation on these figures is so lackluster, and there is really no excuse for that since they don't have to transform so articulation should be a priority like with Yolopark
I dislike this one. Head is to big for the body. Doesn't transform and body is to small compared to G2 body. I give good effort points tho. Easy pass for me.

None of Super7s Ultimates figures have anything more than fairly basic articulation, it's just not something they do 🤷♂️

G2 Megatron was the first TANK Megatron.
I showed them off making a short on my phone but we need you to do it right and get your toyhax connection to make them some more details
