He is making a impact on catch and shoot to be selected for the 76ers
His jump from 27% to 42% 3 point shooting is not an aberation.
When COVID hit and his personal trainer "went Hollywood" from wirking with students like himself to pro athletes he turned to homsrlf & family to help.
He found a gym, write out his training plan (from all his memories from having a one on one trainer) and for nearly one year he predominantly worked on shooting.
His mom a former softball and track athlete in her day helped him at the gym. When his dad could, he'd help out too. KJ was under age to drive so it was a rotation between his parents and his girlfriend helping drop him off or pick him up.
He worked out twice a day, every day chucking "thousands of shots" (his words). On his return to Colorado he said the game felt easier and his hard work just exploded in front of him.
Thanks for watching!
A lot of similarities to Jalen Brunson. Good finisher around the rim and ball IQ to know how to navigate screens, find open shots and teammates etc. I feel like he really could make that jump from role player to superstar under the right circumstances
