    The fact the Superman tackles a guy through a wall at superhuman speed and then later says he didn't kill anyone perfectly sums up Zack Snyder's thought process

      The fact that you know that Superman is so powerful he could tackle a person through a wall & yet shield the person but not willing to understand & accept it shows how blinded your dislike for Zack Snyder has made you.You believe Superman is a truthful character yet you don't believe him when he said He didn't kill them.Smh

      ImInfinite MidWest i do agree.There are so many ways to fix this.Although I like the movie,i do accept it has some flaws but everything will be fine.Especially since the next 2 movies we're getting are from different directors.It will be fun to see how the whole universe is created.Zack has said Justice League will be kept simple.

    Actually, the Batman Redemption is very simple. We have a sequence where Batman takes on a group of baddies, beats 'em up but doesn't kill them. Then a little later he meets with Jim Gordon, and the conversation eventually turns into: "Why have you stopped killing people?"
    Batman then explains how his blood thirsty attitude basically got a lot of people killed and is killing his own life. He then talks about how his father wouldn't want him to become just as bad as the man who murdered them in the first place. This would give some credibility to the Martha scene, essentially like the Mufasa Remember who you are sequence in the Lion King.

    • @Tracer_Krieg
      @Tracer_Krieg 8 років тому +4

      ***** I'm not saying that washes any bloodshed away. What this is just a start of his redemption arc that will be continued with subsequent Batman movies. This adds an additional angle to it because now Bruce has to fight the urge to go back to killing people. He can even be driven near to this point, only to stay his hand and refuse to become the man that created him in the first place.

    • @Tracer_Krieg
      @Tracer_Krieg 8 років тому +1

      ***** Pretend? That alone means that redemption then is impossible and that the whole thing about not killing the Joker is bullshit. You can't have a double standard about this. Vader could become a good person again, just that he needs to be sufficiently tested through a long series of Campbell style trials (if you don't know what I'm talking about, look up the Hero's Journey). The same can happen for Batflek.

    • @Tracer_Krieg
      @Tracer_Krieg 8 років тому +1

      ***** Then what's the point of redemption stories then? I'm not saying he should forget what he's done. Far from it, he should be haunted by this and be inspired to become better. It would add a further level of conflict if they decide to do the Red Hood story. Red Hood is what Batman was, and thus adds further motivation for Bruce to try and stop Jason.

    • @Tracer_Krieg
      @Tracer_Krieg 8 років тому +1

      ***** That's Superman that we're talking about. And he really didn't have a choice. Zod was utterly wiping the floor with him and what can you do against an evil super being that can level a city?

    You don't need to replace Jesse Eisenberg. You just need to have him act in a different manner, and this can be done a few different ways.
    One, Lex escapes prison and goes on something of a Batman Begins self searching that thus changes his personality.
    Two, he goes through rehab, learns his mistakes and still breaks out of prison.Three, and this is my personal favorite. He becomes a good guy, in disguise. He puts up this façade that fools everybody and thus gets recruited by gov't, under Amanda Waller. He does things that generally make him seem like a reformed person, helping the JLA several times. Then it's revealed that it's all a lie. That he has used this as a means of learning the Justice Leaguers weaknesses, thus having a Tower of Babel story. Instead of Batman's plan being their downfall, its Lex Luthor's. He recruits different villains to help him do this.
    My list for this evil team would be as follows:
    Deathstroke
    Black Manta
    Faora
    Gorilla Grodd
    Metallo and/or Amazo

      I especially like Option 3 (mixed with Option 2). I mean he was completely NUTS at the end of BvS. He was clearly unstable throughout the movie, but obviously his encounter with Darkseid (or Steppenwolf or whatever), combined with his failure, caused his mind to completely snap.
      So he goes through therapy and seems to be reformed but eventually, (possibly after becoming president) it's revealed to be a ruse (at least the good guy part anyway--I'm not a big fan of crazy Lex Luthor--all the live action protrayals so far have suffered from this--although it kind of worked Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, in which his long-term exposure to the radiation from his Kryptonite ring had warped his mind).
      I love it because that's my favorite version of Lex. He was like that in the comics Post-Crisis and in Superman: The Animated Series. Seeming to be a good guy, but clearly he's not (well, clear to heroes who are paying attention).
      Awesome! Your theories are MUCH better than Bandit's!

    • @Tracer_Krieg
      @Tracer_Krieg 8 років тому

      SpiderboyN2Jesus I didn't hate Jesse's performance. At times, it made me laugh, and at others he was downright scary (Peach Tea). So no, I don't think they should remove him. Just give a character arc to follow that makes him an even more dangerous threat.

    • @SpiderboyN2Jesus
      @SpiderboyN2Jesus 8 років тому

      I didn't hate it either. At least they went with him being crazy--and he kind of had a reason to be crazy, too (what with encountering Darkseid (or at least part of his retinue) and failing to destroy Superman). In previous versions they were in denial about him being crazy. They tried to play it like he was perfectly sane. But yeah, I just prefer Lex to be a cool calculating schemer who occasionally loses his temper, but isn't unhinged. I enjoyed his perfomance, too, but I'd MUCH prefer if they went away from that in the future (at least until it's shown that he was faking being a "good guy").

    This is confirmed by the set visits. SPOILER if you don't want to know why Steppenwolf is there. Steppenwolf comes to Earth in order to get three Motherboxes that remain on Earth. The Atlanteans have one, The Amazons have the second, and humans have the third(The third is possibly what fused with Victor Stone to make him Cyborg). In ancient times the Atlanteans, Amazons, and humans united to stop Darkseid. The way I interpret the Knightmare scene is similar to the way that JaeRoar said in his video about the Flash cameo. There was an Earth where Batman went through with his crusade and it resulted in the death of Lois Lane causing Superman to go bad, which then caused the Justice League to not assemble when Darkseid came. In the Knightmare future the Flash goes back in time to try to stop this future from happening and warning Bruce. Even though Flash came too soon, Batman put aside his differences with Superman to help him. I think your version of Superman's resurrection is happening. Just from the words of Zack and other creators that sounds like that was the end plan. Not the Clark vs Superman but I think Clark will be more cheerful when he comes back. And by the way congrats for taking a quote out of context with Zack Snyder about the Batman getting raped in prison! When he refers to "my movie" he's talking about WATCHMEN not Batman Begins. He was commenting on the tone of Watchmen and that in that ultra dark universe, people could get raped in prison. If you'd bothered to have read the actual interview rather than cherry picking a snippet you would know that. Batman's murder spree was actually rectified in the movie, at least for me. I will admit, at first I really hated this part in BvS but it's grown on me a bit. In BvS, Batman is utterly cynical and has lost all his hope in humanity as a result of 20 years of being Batman and the hardships that came with it like Jason Todd dying, Harvey(presumably) turning into Two Face, and the straw that broke the camels back, the Black Zero event. An event that made him feel utterly powerless, utterly hopeless, as if all the good he tried to do in Gotham meant nothing. Despite all his efforts, a couple aliens managed to kill THOUSANDS of people. That broke him. Maybe killing was one of the only ways he could feel like he had control over what was happening. In the Ultimate Cut someone says that Batman's brutality is new so before that he was likely the more traditional Batman. What gets Batman out of his murderous spree, in my opinion, is Superman sacrificing himself to Doomsday. Because before at the aftermath of their fight he saw Superman not as the dangerous alien, but as just a guy trying to save his mom. In the Doomsday fight, when he sees Superman sacrifice himself to save a world that has treated him only with fear and rejection, it gives him hope in mankind. Because even though Superman is an alien, he's still human. You can even see his newfound optimism from his "Men are Still Good" Speech. And in the synopsis for the Justice League movie describes Batman as "Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act" so I think rectifying the murder spree is a priority. I have no problem with this but I can see why others have an issue with it. I think we should have had a Batman movie before BvS where we got classic Batman. I do find your idea for fixing it interesting though. I think Lex will harden up in prison and become more like traditional Lex. Geoff Johns confirmed this in the BvS DVD. And we can still get some of the good Lex stories. Luthor got away with a lot of stuff in the cartoons and still was a businessman. But even though I disagree with a lot of what you said, it was still an interesting ideas.

    The knightmare scene actually has credence given that there were literal papers flying around while Bruce woke up, given that Bruce is given a message from someone who he has never met or seen before that actually exists in this world with the same powers. Not to mention just pure instinct, and common sense. All of this seems pretty straightforward to why Bruce would want to form the Justice league.

    9:20
    'Bringing Superman back as a villain is not shocking for the audience. Because for much of the general audience Superman has always acted like a villain in the Zack Snyder universe.'
    Wait, what...? Bandit, what on earth happened to you?
    Having nothing but hate for BvS is well within your right, but as much as you might despise the movie, it portrays Clark as a well-intentioned being who is unsure of how to proceed. He doesn't kill Batman nor Lex, even though he most likely could if he tried and it would be an easy way to solve everything.
    Even if that wasn't the case, BvS doesn't retcon MoS out of existence. And in that movie, you yourself commented:
    'Oh really? Then tell me, when this guy tips a beer over his head Why doesn't [Clark] rip his arms and legs off and leave him as a twitching torso on the ground? Because that's not how he was raised! So I guess Johnathan Kent DID teach him something.[...] the very fact that he saves people at all, proves that he was raised right!'
    (Man of Steel - The Final Verdict. 16:13)
    Clearly, you have every right to express your feelings, but when I heard you say Superman has always been a villain here, wow, I truly raised an eyebrow. I can perfectly picture the more cynical side of you knowingly trying to convince himself of what he was saying as that line was recorded.
    I don't watch reviews or analysis so they can agree with me when I think that a movie is great or lacking, I watch them so I can hear the truth. When you're blatantly spewing such lies and contradicting yourself, I can only mourn what this channel was when I subscribed.

      Fair point! Clark did indeed have a temper. Allow me to bring up however that Batman had no trouble surviving being super-pushed aside twice, pushed through the entirety of a building and slammer on the Bat-signal, Clark likely expected Bats to 'Stay down!', and had to get gradually more serious when he wouldn't. He fried the turrets with his heat vision with Bats clearly in range. if he wanted to kill, he didn't even need touch the guy.
      'If I wanted it, you'd be dead already!'

    I personally Loved BVS for it's different take on the characters. I have seen the ever hopeful superman and the "everything before murder batman" pretty much in everything other incarnation. The change brought in BVS were refreshing for me and I think much more interesting to ponder about after viewing the movie.
    Plus Zack Snyder and a lot of people working on the univers , have already confirm that we are eventually gonna get those version of the characters. Those changes were essentially to build them up and give them reasons for having such hight standards. I think it humanize them much more and make them so much more compelling. There not perfect by default , they had to work and go trough a lot to get there. I believe this take to be more compelling and just more captivating.
    Also , thats maybe more of a personal belief of mine but I don't think batman can really redeem himself from killing people , I mean whatever he does there still gonna be dead. The only thing he can really do his trying to be better which is the way they are going with the character. Superman inspired im to be a hero again and not torture/kill people as shown by his refusal of branding Lex at the end of the movie.
    I would have taught you would have appreciated ,as a superman fan , that superman in this universe is the symbol of hope in batman life. The thing that motivates batman to be the hero we all know im for. Superman motivated im to be this hero by his selfless sacrifice. Proving to batman that "Men are still good". Batman at the beginning of the movie thinks that they are no longer anybody working for good anymore. One of his robin is dead , harvey dent most likely exist in this univers and maybe others we don't know about. Superman basically creates The Batman we all love and who intrigue us. He gives him hope and optimism for the futur. Isn't that what Superman is about ?
    BVS is in no way a perfect film. But I don't think it really makes errors on how it's handling it's character. It's default are more technically based. Like the editing and such.A lot of people say the character are not loyal to the comics but there so many comics and so many versions of a same character , that it only comes down to to your vision of them. Just because other people vision is different than yours, it doesn't mean it's bad and should be changed. Maybe trying to appreciate the version for what it offers is the most fair thing to do.

I understand what you're getting at with the whole "How could we not find an island in 2016 stuff but you could just explain it away with "the Gods shielded the island away from the eyes of men" assuming of course that the Greek gods will still exist in this universe. As for Aquaman it could just be said that the Atlanteans are just really good at hiding. I just think the wormhole thing overcomplicates it too much.

    This is my (synopsis) ptich for _Justice League_:
    Right after the events of _Batman V Superman_, William Hand (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) absorbs lifeforce energy to resurrect Superman by using a black power ring. Then, the Black Lantern Corps (including Superman) dominate Earth and the almost the whole galaxy. In the not so distant future, the only surviving metahumans are the Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter (who is the living embodiment of Mars). The Flash (even though he tried to convince Bruce Wayne that he should protect Lois from dying) travels again in the past to change the events from saving Robin (because the death of Robin was the cause of Batman being a murderer), saving Jonathan Kent from getting killed by a tornado and teaming up with Superman to take down the Kryptonians during the climax of _Man of Steel_. 20 months after the battle in Metropolis; Superman, Batman and the Flash recruit a team of metahumans to stand against William Hand and the Black Lantern Corps. But despite the formation of this all-mighty league of heroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter) it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of fatal proportions.

    • @DaniDeSanta
      @DaniDeSanta 8 років тому

      While I respect your opinion, I have to say two things:
      *1)* WB plans their big storylines too early (like Superman dying in BvS), but in my Justice League movie, William Hand is the villain in not just in the JL movie, but also in Justice League 2 as a secondary villain (Nekron would be the main villain). Plus wouldn't be awesome to see a battle between superheroes vs zombies?
      *2)* I undo the events of Man of Steel and Batman V Superman is (even though I liked Man of Steel) because general audiences, critics and half of DC fans (including me) didn't like how Zack Snyder has portrayed the iconic characters and, at the end of BvS, Superman died, algonside his alter ego (Clark Kent). All of that is the reason I want to change the timeline, but still continuing with the story of the DCEU with the same cast.

    Personally, I believe the DCEU cannot be saved at this point. Though I do know how it should have been.
    Year 1: Man of Steel (now called "The Superman") has no colour filter, a few changed characters here and there and a bit better character development, but ultimately remains mostly the same.
    Year 2: "The Martian Manhunter" and "The Green Lantern" films
    Year 3: Batman v Superman: World's Finest. Mostly the same plot as the extended cut, but no Doomsday, Superman does not die, and Lex Luthor is a character that can be taken seriously (and played ominously by Lance Reddick). Superman takes a great leap towards becoming the Superman we know and love. "The Wonder Woman" is also made, but she only has a cameo in BvS.
    Year 4: Justice League. With information from travellers from another universe (Jay Garrick and Alan Scott), Batman begins to find and assemble a team of metahumans to protect the world from a coming monster: the Anti-Monitor, destroying every universe on its way to Earth Prime. Throughout the film, cameos of DC characters from other universes occur, such as Reeve's Superman and Bale's Batman. In the end, the Flash seemingly dies destroying the Anti-Monitor (but actually was sent through time) and Darkseid learns of the location of Earth Prime, and thus the location of the Anti-Life Equation.
    Year 5 and 6: A few sequels with some foreshadowing in between, including "Green Lantern Corps", which sets up "Justice League: Blackest Night" in Year 10, "The Aquaman", and Flash also has a solo film that resembles a merging of the Flashpoint and Injustice stories.
    Year 7: Justice League: Doomsday. Darkseid and Doomsday (who has been growing within the scout ship since BvS) are the villains. Flash returns. After defeating Darkseid, Doomsday kills Superman.
    Year 8 and 9: A few more sequels and a few new introductions, such as "The Sentinels", about the various magic characters such as Constantine and Dr. Fate. Perhaps a two-part Batman film. Ultimately though, these two years will be the darkest in DCEU history.
    Year 10: Justice League: Blackest Night. In a massive crossover of all DC heroes introduced thus far, Superman is resurrected as a Black Lantern, until he is fully revived by the Life Entity.
    The end. As much as I would love to see this, I doubt the DCEU will come anywhere close. Opinions?

    "For most of the general audience, Superman has always acted as a villain in the Zack Snyder universe." Yep, you uhhh you definitely just made that up. Would love to see an argument supporting that seeing as how he has saved the Earth twice even dying to do so. Definitely not a villain, kinda like the opposite.

    In the comics, there was a storyline in which Lex Luthor gets cancer from kryptonite radiation, so he transfers his brain into a younger clone and kills off his old body in a plane crash. The younger clone with Lex Luthor's brain is 21 years old, has red hair and a beard, and has an Australian accent. The clone claims to be Lex Luthor Jr. The clone takes over LexCorp and actually starts dating Supergirl, but Lex Luthor Jr. is eventually exposed as a clone, so Lex makes a deal with the devil to get his old body back. Yes, this all actually happened. Anyway, they could do a similar thing in the movies where Jesse Eisenberg was actually a younger clone of the real Lex Luthor who could be played by Mark Strong (Bandit's always wanted Mark Strong to play Lex) except this time, older Lex never died. You'd also have to make up a new reason why Lex faked his death, since Superman wasn't around in the year 2000 in this universe.

    I reckon they should make flash go back in time in the justice league movie to stop the darksied invasion and therefore fix up all the errors in the DCEU.
    So him tampering with time would create a ripple effect (as eubard thorne explains in "flashpoint") and this would alter certain events in the DCEU. E.g....
    •Batman hasn't killed anyone.
    •Lex luthor senior(portraid by Bryan Cranston) is still alive,thus Lex luthor junior (jessie eisenburg) Is not in control of lexcorp.
    • General zod's corps was never modified into Doomsday, thus superman never died.
    Those are some points I think should be modified into the DCEU.

    Is everyone fucking blind with why Superman has depressed mood? He is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, world that is at the same time either trying to pat him on the back or trying to stab him. He is not evil, he has a lot to deal with and it's stressful. Only thing you got right was assuming that coming back to life would make him the real comic Superman, because that is the focal point where Superman of old realized his role and purpose in the modern world. Dan Jurgens, the writer of the Death of Superman and current writer of Action Comics since DC Rebirth, has said that was what made Superman who he is today.
    Coming back as the Superman he is supposed to be isn't replacing the character to another version, it's CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!!

    Hey guys, I wanted to get an opinion on what could've been a better take on the particularly controversial "Martha" moment everyone's been arguing about. I don't particularly like it because it relies too much on chance (Superman's mother's name just HAPPENS to be Batman's mother's name-what a coincidence!.). I wanted something that was a little more definitive, something that is set in stone. So, tell me what you guys think about this, and if any of you think this could work:
    While Superman is pinned to the ground, Batman gives him some dialogue (Ex: You feel that? It's your own mortality! You'll never know what it feels like to lose those close to you! To feel the pain of losing them! You're no 'Superman'! You never were, and never will be!) Lois Lane arrives and watches in horror, unable to do anything. Superman starts to shoo her away, saying "No! Get out of here! People have already suffered and died because of my mistakes-I can't let you be one of them!" Lois starts to back away, with tears at her eyes. Batman takes a step back, as he comprehends what's being said-he has a flashback to his parents's deaths, when Thomas Wayne tries to warn his wife, saying the exact same thing ("Get out of here! I won't let you die!" I won't let you suffer!") before he gets shot. Bruce realizes at that moment that's he the one pointing the gun at Superman's head, and, just like he suffered after his parents's death, those close to Superman will suffer too, as he saw with Lois. He reels back, on his knees. He can't believe that hatred and rage was enough to blind him to the point where he's willing to break his one rule (In my version, Batman doesn't kill.). He can't do it. He can't put others through the same pain he felt when his parents died-even someone has great of a threat as Superman. Batman made a promise-a promise that he would never take the life of another human being, because that person, no matter how corrupt, probably has those who love him/her regardless, and he can't take away the privilege that he never had growing up-a family, loved ones. Then, Batman puts down the spear and grabs Superman by the chest. He gives his "The Dark Knight Returns" speech, saying "I realize you're not the enemy. But if you ever turn against us, against humanity-in all your private moments, I want you to remember the one man who beat you!" This implies that they're not entirely friends, but have a mutual respect for each other. This also means that Batman, although he'll accept Superman, will also make sure to keep him in check in case he ever turns against humanity. So, what are you're thoughts?

    i feel like there is a way to have the lex luther we deserve. If lex starts acting rehabilitated a bunch throughout several movies convincing the audience and even batman that he isn't crazy or evil. it could lead to lex being the smart, complex, and calm lex that we all want and lead to batman invoking his no kill rule after seeing his rehabilitation(or at least help with that). then we could have lex run for president and have a whole movie devoted to a more mental battle between him and superman

    Several remarks : 1) The 'not killing rule' is just simply impossible to keep by ANY superheroes if anyone want a realistic superhero movie. Just simply use the current justice movie development as an example. Darkseid cannot be defeated if no 'parademon' can/should be killed. One might argue parademon is not 'human'. But bottom-line, they are 're-purposed' alien life forms, so why should they be treated differently? A not "killing" Justice League cannot save earth from any threat.

    You make Superman's Return way over complicated than it needs to be. Here's how it should go. We stick with the idea of Darkseid resurrecting him, thus allowing him to turn him into the Evil Superman from the Knightmare sequence. But Superman is having a constant war for his soul, whether by actually resisting Darksied's orders or hesitating from doing so. Then we have a moment where he then literally snaps out of the brainwashing, and thus has a complete change in character. He goes from moody man to more upbeat Superman. I actually have an idea where he creates the classic Clark Kent we all know and love by simply showing up with Perry being like:
    "Clark where the damn whatever expletive he comes up with have you been!? We thought you were dead!"
    He clumsily explains that he suffered basically a mental breakdown and had to spend time away. Even now he's still not quite himself but he wants to keep working. Peery, with a weird look on his face, chuckles, pats him on the back and then replies:
    "Well I'm glad to have you back eitherway. Now you've still got a football game to cover."

    • @BanditIncorporated
      @BanditIncorporated  8 років тому

      Yeah that seems to be a popular comment. But I don't get that.
      They don't expand on the Robin suit thing AT ALL, so we can't know whether that's why he started killing or not.
      And his reason for not killing Supes had nothing to do that. It was the dumb Martha thing (after which he murders everyone in the warehouse)
      And superman didn't have a no killing rule, so how could batman get that idea from him?
      It seems Zack Snyder doesn't have characters "learn" things, they just change for no reason.
      Like did superman redeem himself from the neck snap? Nope. They just acted like it didn't happen, and I'm sure they'll do the same thing with batmans murders

I was recently watching the Awesome Comics review of BvS, and Doug Walker brought up a really good point; that look that Affleck gave to the Robin suit was all we needed to understand that this is most likely the thing that pushed him over the edge. I mean, what else could have? But I never DID get a sense of redemption by the end of the flick, though..

    Maybe you can go the prequel route- maybe if joker broke batman and he started to kill after his failure to kill the joker let robin die, then maybe another character, e.g. superman, that would help with the redeeming arc. Maybe an old ally would tell him: "you taught me not to kill. You taught me that. now It's my turn to teach you"

Explains why they haven't been found yet, and doesn't make all the powered peoples origins based on one thing, like the Flash TV show. You could have him get "rehabilitated" off screen and become more like the traditional Lex. The Thomas Wayne Batman is from the Flashpoint-storyline, and that version is a ruthless killer. He has his own version of the Jokerwho in this universe is Martha Wayne, who went insane after the death of her son, so that is probably the only thing preventing him from killing her. I also think that it may be a bit to easy of a resolution to such a big issue. But then again if Batman and Superman (two characters with very different methods of problemsolving) become friends just their mothers having the same first name, then it is probably not impossible.

    I remember watching a video awhile ago, I don't remember what it was called, but it talked about the theory that Suicide Squad was set ages before BvS and MoS and that here Batman didn't kill. However it proposed that the Joker was dead during the events of BvS because Batman killed him in a similar fashion to how many people believe he killed him at the end of The Killing Joke, around the time of Suicide Squad for the death of Jason Todd and that murdering the Joker was the tipping point for him and his first kill. Unfortunately, Suicide Squad is set after BvS so they can't do this :(

    For anyone bitching about Bandits ideas keep in mind he is trying to recover the events from the movie that almost ruined the whole universe and make it work again so you just have to go to the extreme to make that happen.
    Of course there can be some work done with Bandits ideas, but they sound very interesting and most of them can work.
