1: I love fauns in Narnia films. I like their imperial infantry-like design in LWW, but I absolutely like the way how they lack the armor and turn from imperial infantry into the motley group of rebellions in PC. 2: Centaurs are my favorite creatures of Narnia and I love their look from LWW's imperial cavalry to more PC's darker toned, more wilder-looking and topless (in case of male ones) rebellions. Only one thing in PC's centaurs that bothered me was their horse bodies running and walking movement. Glenstrom's horse body's walking and running movement were fine to me in the Dancing Lawn and at the beginning of the Battle of Aslan's How, but quite poor-looking in the Night Raid, At the end of the Battle of Aslan's How and then when Caspian, Pevensies, Aslan and the narnians arrive to the telmarine city. 3. Nothing wrong about Narnian dwarves. Compared to the dwarves Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit), narnian dwarves seems to be a somewhat shorter. But I don't like an idea of pointed ears for the dwarves. I like more an idea if they have more rounded ears. And I also like that there were female dwarves around in PC, unlike in LWW movie (except that one of the dwarves turned to stone at Witch's castle appeared to be a female dwarf). 4: Along with the centaurs, minotaurs are my top favorite narnians and I love their large anthropomorphic bull-like appearance 'cause it fits more perfectly to the Narnia universe instead of appearance as the large men with the bull's heads. I was rather surprised to see minotaurs actually among with the good narnians in PC film after seeing them fighting for Witch in LWW and after reading PC book a long before the film, but I grew to love it. 5: In the case of satyrs, I loved more the satyrs anthropomorphic goat-like appearance in PC rather than in LWW film, where they actually looked somewhat bestial versions of the fauns with the larger horns, more hair and slightly with the goat-like face features. 6: Narnian hags look... kinda... anthromomorphic vultures to me, but I love it. I also wondered that where the hags disappeared from Witch's army after Witch's camp and Aslan's sacrifice. 7: I loved the werewolves design and grayish white-color (which mysteriously turned to the golden-brown color in the last sequence of the Battle) in the LWW film. And I think that some werewolf myths (the bit from the werewolf turns the victims into the werewolves at the full moon) doesn't matter in Narnia universe.
It depends on how shape and points of the ears are made. Lots of mythological beings are given elfish or pointy ears: demons, fairies, centaurs, orcs, ogres, trolls, even merpeople! If certain fantasy races all have pointy ears, they should be shaped differently according to their race. In the animated adaptation of The Hobbit, some of the dwarves are drawn with pointy ears.
@@Jakegothicsnake I know right? They should have made them more similar to Fauns, but with larger horns and overall a more stylised appearance, but I guess that wouldn’t have stood out as much
In truth, Mr. Tumnus was the only faun that was drawn with a long tail by Pauline Baynes. The other fauns, she drew with regular goat tails and made fauns and satyrs indistinguisheable. Lewis does describe him with a long tail anyways, which makes sense since his world of Narnia has both greek stayrs as well as roman fauns, and my guess was that he wanted his fauns and satyrs to each have a more distinguised feature. :)
i know some werewolves are white and some are brown and there was only one werewolf in the second what i mean is there was only white were wolves in the 1st
Generally elves are depicted with pointy ears. However, some fantasy artwork depict elves without pointed ears, or even resembling dwarves. Other fantasy/mythological races can be depicted with or without pointy ears as well.
Are you sure? Because I recall looking up satyrs on wikipedia and theoi dot com, and they both had artwork of greek satyrs with human legs exactly how you described the roman fauns. Plus these greek satyrs also has horse tails, donkey ears, and pug noses.
My favorite is the fauns but I don't get why they drew the one with a long tail it's not normal for them to have long tails but if u like it I'm not onna fight you
Naw, Narnia has no elves. The difference between dwarves and elves is that dwarves are small and usually always bearded, and elves are taller, more elegant, and usually have very pointy ears.
I agree with almost everything except the satyrs... I like it that they look more animal like as that would be more realistic

The werewolf design was very unique and pretty cool
I'm really happy that You see the difference between fauns and satyrs :)
Thanks. :)
Wow, thank you for compiling this review, must get around to re reading the books. You threw me back to my long forgotten childhood!

The satyrs really creep me out tbh
Those giant heads on human bodies are really uncanny
Yeah....They made the satyrs a little too anthro-like for my comfort....

What’s weird is satyrs and fauns are the same in Percy Jackson books fauns being Roman and Satyrs being Greek
That’s true.
i like the fact that the human citezins accept living with the narnians

In roman mythology fauns had human feet not hooves.
There are such a thing as a white wolf. Also there was only one werewolf in the second film.
when i saw the first narnia movie in theatures i was 5 and i thought the dwarfs wer elves
No problem, mate. ;)
Aren't elves the ones with pointed ears? Dwarves are different, right?

I just don’t want to know how baby centaur are made and given birth to.
Well, given that female centaurs are a thing, it's really not to hard to imagine how they reproduce......
arent u puzzled by in the first films werewolves were wight and in the second theyb were black or brown
I mean different colored fur can happen we saw the white one during the reign of the white witch so maybe it was to blend in with the snow
