Fun fact is that his daughters are way more (in)famous than his son xD karma.
Mr. Graves yeah cause edward was ill at a young age
jayxfrost and he actually was a king
Edward could have been famous king if he had lived longer; he was highly intelligent and educated.
I mean, Edward's son Edward II is quite famous... If you're ever in the mood for a hot story that'll poke your heart string take a peek into him
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To be fair Edward died at age 15
Broke: Henry Henry Henry
Woke: Divorced, beheaded and died

They're both woke though.
katherine howard was 19 when she died, why did a 30 something old women play her.
No idea. But you know how casting goes. They don't always cast people who look close to the character be they historical or fictitious. In truth, Katherine of Aragon was a beautiful strawberry blonde, and Anne of Cleves was not a brunette either. To me, The actress they had playing Anne of Cleves looks more closer to looking like Anne Boleyn than her own actress! The only casting the got pretty well done was Jane Seymour.
+Jakegothicsnake i agree jane seymour was the only one that look realistic
+Jakegothicsnake i agree jane seymour was the only one that look realistic
The director did not want to get trouble with child laws plus she did it for a small fee
@@Jakegothicsnake Elizabeth looked like what she looked like when young. (Not a baby)
So these were all good women. Their only mistake was marrying Henry the 8th.
Grilled Cheeze Catherine Howard wasn’t exactly what we would call a “good woman”. *hint* *hint*
@@Jakegothicsnake what are you saying?
Grilled Cheeze she acted quite spoiled at times
@@tabathaswinburne4314 was that a true fact according to history?
Grilled Cheeze from what I could tell yes look at the Cathrine Howard documentary that they got the footage from
In my opinion, the girl he divorced because of looks wasn’t even ugly. She was literally the only pretty wife so like 😂😂
In real life, most of Henry VIII’s wives were either beautiful or at least very good looking. The only one of Henry’s wives who was a plain Jane was well.....Jane! XD
Henry didn’t divorce her because she was ugly he divorced her because she didn’t look the same as her painting and he was disappointed and Katherine Howard was the prettiest because that’s the only reason Henry married her
Jakegothicsnake lol thx 😂
Layla Grace oh ok, but I do actually think she was prettier 😂😂
I think Catherine of Aragon is pretty
Anne of Cleves outlived them all. #Winner
Linda Meade But she survived like and ex wife, and she is recognized in history for being "too ugly for be the Henry's wife", he literally nicknamed her " the Flander's mare", lol
Aeternum Grey, Who cares what Henry “the disgraced” said, he was loser king anyway, by murdering two of them! Also I call him “overrated Henry” his father Henry Tudor (VII) was much better.
Linda Meade, For Ever House of La Marck!!
But can we all appreciate the fact that she basically catfished Henry
No she didn’t the dude who painted the portrait exaggerated her, and it’s Henry’s stubbornness that made him think like this.
This combines my two favorite things in life. ABBA and the British monarch history

And six the musical for me :D

But had Elizabeth with red hair”
It sounds more emocional than any other part of the song. But maybe it’s just me

@@actuallyash2438 Lol same
Is it bad that just from the first line I knew you were talking about Anne Boleyn
Elizabeth was the son Henry wanted
Anyone else thinking Henry had a thing for women named Katharine?
Well, for one thing, Katherine was a very commonly used name during the reign of the Tudors. At that time, it seemed naming choices were not exactly wide. For female names, it was pretty much just Katherine, Elizabeth, Jane, Anne, Mary, Margaret, and occasionally Maude. For male names, it was just Henry, George, Edward, William, Thomas, John, and occasionally Mark and Arthur.
Jakegothicsnake oh I didn’t know that, thank you
Katherine was a common name, and he also had two wives named Anne.
@@Jakegothicsnake I mean the commonfolk had many other names, but the royals didn't use all of those i think

•moody • you spelt 2 of the Catherine’s wrong
bev252010 There wasn’t standardized spelling back then, even the same word in the same sentence could be spelled differently. Catherine of Aragon’s Spanish name was Catalina, so I prefer Catherine for her, but the others, it doesn’t really matter. Shakespeare has about a dozen surviving signatures, but none of them are the way we spell it. Does that mean we all spell it wrong? I’m usually a pedant (I’m an editor, so that’s an inherent risk) but honestly, it really could not matter less as long as we all still know who’s being discussed.
@@bev252010 koa spelled it katherine, katharine, catherine... you see where i'm going with this? so no they're right.

This song was stuck in my head for a week after I watched the original and then i decided to watch this... what have I done
I feel sad for Katherine ;-;
Yeah, the poor woman definitely had a hard life after leaving Spain.....
Which one
dequacker Katherine of Aragon. Henry VIII’s first wife.
Me too (Talking about Katherine of Aragon?)
Same... actually both Katherine’s I feel for (the second one was practically a child, she didn’t deserve such a horrible death either).. Even Catherine Parr, even though she survived Henry, it would’ve been interesting to see what would’ve come of her life had she lived longer
Catherine Parr also almost lost her head, had she not lied to King Henry.
Speaking of Catherines, there was also supposed to be a 4th Catherine: Catherine Brandon (aka Catherine Willoughby) where it was rumored that the king had his eyes on whilst still married to Catherine Parr. Other than that, after Jane Seymour’s death, Henry also began setting his eyes on another princess named Cristina of Denmark, but she angrily refused him way before he was able to pursue her. After being turned down, he, instead, chose to marry Anne of Cleves. Lol. Imagine if Henry was able to marry these two other women, that would make him have 8 wives instead of 6 like what we know today. XD
shows how tyrannical he became, compared to the beginning of his reign. gotta love the tudors amirite
About what did she lied ? Just curious
Technically all of them died because they're not here anymore.
Thank you, Miss Obvious.

long long ago i watched the song that was in my recommended now this is here
Honestly only 3 of his wife's died
Four, actually.
If Catherine of Aragon hadn’t been put through seven years of hell and put away in a cold and drafty castle in a bog I think she’d have lived longer. She really seemed to love him. There was just no future for her without him. Broken heart syndrome is also a real deal, aside from stress. Anne of Cleves was the only one who lived long after Henry died. If Catherine Parr hadn’t remarried she might have been okay though.
All of them did let’s not forget this was nearly 500 years ago
I really love tbis song
This is what I have wanted
Hell yeah
Ok but why is this actually really catchy?
good job i want this so badly
I don't like how this was saying that the mistake ALL of them made was marrying Henry like it was totally their decision. Catherine of Aragon married him to secure an alliance with England, can't really defend Anne and Jane, but Anne of Cleves was an ARRANGED marriage. She did not choose to marry him. Not quite sure about Catherine Howard but Catherine Parr was VERY reluctant to marry Henry after seeing what he did to four of his former wives. So no, it wasn't all their fault
Anne and Jane were doing what their family and king wanted them to do. Catherine of Aragon might be the only one that wanted to marry Henry despite the alliance falling through.
I don’t think any of them wanted to marry him. Anne Boleyn literally RAN away from court to France, ignored all the king’s temptations and wanted to marry ANOTHER man which was stopped. She refused to be his mistress, and had no other path. Katherine Howard was pushed by her uncle, she was not taught to say no and she was just a young girl- I don’t at all expect her to be so wise in a situation as *marrying* the king.

It’s a four part documentary series hosted by David Starkey. I remember seeing the third and fourth episodes when I was a kid. The series was on UA-cam for a number of years, but they got taken. However, they might be up again.
Michael Gambrell Alright, here’s a link to the first episode, you’ll find the rest on the uploader’s channel. These have subtitles in another language like Spanish or Portuguese.
ua-cam.com/video/ErbP8S5vDGU/v-deo.html
To be fair his first ex-wife died of old age and the other Anne of Cleves also died of natural causes
Actually, Katherine of Aragon was only 50 years old when she died, so it wasn’t really old age. She died of natural causes as well, which many believe to be cancer.
@@Jakegothicsnake Either way Henry never killed her. If anything and I don't know if the Tudor tv series was historically accurate on this but Katherine refused to accept her divorce and kept insisting that she was still Henry's true wife.
Jon Snow that’s actually correct. This is one of the reasons why he was “turned off” from her as well.

Sure.
@@Jakegothicsnake Are you the one who wrote "Jofré Borgia: The Forgotten Borgia"? And, are you multilingual or did you just use translator apps for the fanfics?
Tribute and Music Video Center Indeed. Though I didn’t use an app at the time, because I didn’t have a smartphone when I was writing the fanfic, so I used translator websites to help translate certain words in Spanish and Italian.
Just because her name is Catherine of Aragon doesn't mean she's from Aragon. Do you know how this works?
I can understand your point. I mean, the spouses of Pope Alexander VI’ younger children, Lucrezia and Jofré Borgia were called Alfonso of Aragon and Sancia of Aragon, even though they were both born and raised in the Kingdom of Naples Italy. This is probably just the only way they could think that would help establish that Katherine of Aragon was of the House Trastámara.
