    • @Hazza57t
      @Hazza57t Рік тому +2

      Now if I buy a copy and love it, then I would be more likely to save up for the Border. Knowing it will be better than the copy.

    T-bow more like Fake-Bow. Chinese direct copy inferior rip off product of the Border Tempest which is made by a small manufacturer in Scotland.
    The original designer and manufacturer Border, makes this riser machine CNC'd from a solid billet with mega quality control and precision, brilliant finish to the riser and stands behind the product. 19,21,25 and 27inch versions available. The T-bone fake is a cast riser probably no good for limbs over 38lb to 40lb where it could well snap on you at full draw as cheap cast risers have a tendency to do at higher poundage.
    What's different here from the big brand knock offs from China is that this riser was never made in China and then rebranded with another flag as 'assembled' in the USA etc by one of the big 4 manufacturers.
    T-bone ripped off the little guy. A company with a handful of employees and then this rip off product is promoted by dealers who only see the bottom line whilst complaining that they aren't making money because of warranty claims and wondering why bespoke or custom manufacturers are going out of business 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.

The guys at Border put their hearts and serious design chops into their equipment only for these guys to come along and clone it to make a quick buck. It literally damages the livelihoods of a small but very capable bowyer to have this thing be promoted in any way. There are reputable brands not doing such things that are available at the same price point as this and those companies are usually putting money back into their R&D instead of stealing other company's.

    Although I see the similarity to the border tempest, they made design changes to not infringe on copyright protections. No weights on top or bottom of the riser as seen on borders tempest. I think it's great that people can try things out for a third of the price, and if they love it buy the real thing one day. As he mentioned there were other bows with front risers as well. Maybe they should have left off the weights on the handle, to make everyone else happy though.

      thats not true at all. you're looking at the tempest 25". there's many sizes including a 17" that also doesn't have weight bushing on the top and bottom. the only thing this doesn't seem to copy is the limb alignment system

      @@kupop18 I stand corrected on them having a model without the weights in different locations. I feel the "cloning" situation is very similar to another hobby I enjoy which is balisongs. China has made clones of very expensive balisongs that may have very slight differences but it's enough to not break copyright laws outright. I obviously think the real things are usually way better than the clones though, but it's very hard to justify spending 500 to 1000 + on a knife or a bow that you may never have the chance to try out. There is also a large amount of people who could just never afford that either though too. I'm thankful and fortunate enough, that if I found something I really loved and enjoyed, I'd happily buy the real option of the clone. I know it's a touchy subject though, but I like to support both sides. Appreciate your feedback and hopefully your understanding.

    😮how does one do a review when they don't know the specifics of the product 😂, you don't even know the poundage. Your way over bowed you can't even get a full draw. Don't tell me you got full draw ystrdy and now you can't today, that is unless you seriously damaged yourself in which you need to heal before you play archer

      Stephen is recovering from major heart surgery. So yes not fully healed.
      Perhaps watch some of his full reviews on other bows.

    No mention that it’s a ripoff of the Border Tempest
