Threw together a list of NF songs with descriptions to make it easier for you to choose a song to react to that you think you’d enjoy, I know you’ve reacted to a handful of these songs already, just throwing it down here for other people who are new to NF. Hype songs: Know (about loyalty and the music industry) Destiny (just him flexing) Statement (Probably the song that best shows his word play skills) Outcast (Self explanatory) 10 Feet Down (deep lyrically but more up tempo) Green Lights (flex song with some good messages) Warm Up (flex song) One Hundred (Flex song) Grindin’ (self explanatory) Real (Shows off lyrical skills while addressing how he feels competition from other rappers) Epiphany (Features Futuristic, the song gives each a verse to give their own synopsis of where they are at in their own lives, along with struggles) No Name (A song where he covers the topic of fame and learning to deal with it along with his own thoughts he struggles with) Emotional/Deep songs: Remember This (My personal favorite, about being true to yourself) Mansion (Metaphorical song, telling you his background. Where you’ll want to start to understand his story) Dreams (about his humble beginnings) Intro III (having a conversation with a personified version of his fear) Let You Down (I think everyone’s heard this at this point in time) My Life (a song to one of his siblings who is struggling with an alcoholic addiction.) You’re Special (love song) If You Want Love (Covers the unfortunate truth about relationships) Lie (A song covering the topic of someone who toyed with your emotions) 3 A.M. (Relationship song) How Could You Leave Us (Get your tissues ready, a song about his unfortunate upbringing) Therapy Session (Covers the issues that come with being an artist and how he tries to cope with it) Outro (self explanatory, Covers the topics surrounding his career, life and previous songs.) I’m sure I’ve missed somebody’s favorite song so leave a comment with your favorite.
I know I’m late, but he had a ton of double meanings in this song. In mansion, fear took over a room. In this song, he compares the mansion to a prison. “You’ll spend the rest of your life in my backyard or back of my mind, depends how you see it,” is the backyard of the mansion. But in the actual song mansion, he compares the house to his mind. So the fear will always be isolated in the back of his mind. The very last paragraph “I thought you had me in prison this whole time,” but I’m the one holding the keys,” gives me goosebumps every time. They keys are both a metaphor between the keys for the mansion and they keys to the prison cell, and you hold the keys to your own destiny. This is my favorite song just because of how unique the concept is and how well it’s written and the hidden deep meanings.
I’ve watched countless reactions to NF, and honestly no one catches him like you do. Love to see it. It’s painful to watch some people who don’t understand the depth of his lyrics. Great job man. 🔥
Please react to “Mansion” next. You nailed the review of this song, but the picture will be very clear after listening to Mansion. So many of his songs references that song, especially this one. Then relisten to this one on your own time after Mansion and it will make 100% sense. 🙂. I really enjoy your reactions. Thanks again!
Great reaction!! When u listen to this song, this is the reason why everyone should listen to his songs in order of his albums... most of the songs have means that tie together with all the layers!!
Best reaction yet my friend!, this is the track that also gave me the same goosebumps, cuz I knew this guy was a lyrical genius, its not easy to put together a track like this, great reaction!
I love watching your reactions on NF! I started noticing you release a video everyday around this time, which makes me excited and gives me something to look forward too. As you said when you reacted to his song "Remember This" about people leaving bad comments, just remember people like me love what your doing and think your doing a great job. Thank you so much!
I'm actually really impressed with your reaction. Intro III is probably my favorite song by him, my first listen I was shaking and had chills off an on the whole song. I am disappointed people didn't warn you to listen to Mansion prior to this song. It's awesome how much you were still able to digest. Seriously awesome. From what I've heard this was one of the most difficult songs for him that he's ever written. He didn't even perform this track at his concert. NF is incredible.
😎😇💯 First, Props! for figuring out NF is talking to his fear in "Intro 3". Many people don't get that. They're like "who is he talking to?!" lol It's A Very Real song. Powerful Powerful message. Truth. Many can relate. Fear is something a lot of people struggle with. A lot of it has to do with thinking Outside The Box. No pride, but AMEN. NF and I share the same mind. I can write that way. Its a Blessing to have that unnatural ability. It is Truly a Real gift GOD gives you. I am Thankful. 💯% It requires outside the box thinking for sure.
Yes sir it's coming to the self realization about all the issues holding back keeping from achieving are are self inflicted because instead of resolving issues reveling in them but also like in therapy session wondering if the thing thats gained popularity was when started actually talking about them and working on them so this is addressing them, like at the end of the song outro leading to outcast and this because the end of the video the keys are in his hands and says listening to intro III trying to kill my fears and outcast woke up in a cell where am I at yeah it's cold but I like that what am I trapped heard beating outta my chest doors locked but the keys are in my hands. Everything ends up being full circle.
Great reaction on this song. It was really cool hearing you break it down. Notepad is the same way you should put that on your list. Thank you have a blessed
The line about holding the keys leads into his next song on the album, Outcast. You should listen to that next. EDIT: Nevermind saw this was a newer video, didn't realize you already watched it. Great stuff, literally just watched every NF reaction, first to last.
Nate is his younger self that he struggles with killing off, by growing past. He made his career around moving past his historical struggles, but who is he as an artist once he moves past them and grows as a person? The song is NF arguing with Nate the Child...
Sounds good...the reaction with the lyrics is better than just a photo...keep with it...peace. How about reacting to a different artist/group...LINKIN PARK....ONE MORE LIGHT
I know you have tried before, but to understand where he is coming from you have to show us "Mansion". Pause more talk more, its a hard song especially for me but it tells and shows you his growth from being angry to afraid to taking control himself.
I hate lyric videos with wrong lyrics. If you ever do a reaction can I suggest just puttin the genius lyrics on the screen at the same time or something?
This song is an absolute masterpiece in every way. It's the best song he's written to date. He's even said it's his best work.
He’s having a conversation with his self. The FEAR part of himself.
You got it first try and it made me soooo happy. No one else has

I'm so happy u got the thing about the fear cause that's what he means some people don't get that
If Matthews went through NFs albums he'd see this shit is so deep, I bet he'd have so much more respect for NF.

You're right thank you I had forgot to mention that with outro and outcast. Which is the next song also.
Omg Yes you nailed it, it is fear. NF has a long track record of talking to his emotions mainly, Pride, Anger and Fear
Mansion is the song you need to listen to if you want to see a lot of where NF comes from
MY LIFE - NF
I’ve watched countless reactions to NF, and honestly no one catches him like you do. Love to see it. It’s painful to watch some people who don’t understand the depth of his lyrics. Great job man. 🔥
Nobody is on his level with song writing... you gotta love him and a lot of people relate..props on the true reaction!! I loved it
One of the most brilliant things about NF is how his albums connect. He tells a story from song to song and album to album. Pure genius.
He said in a recent Interview that this is his favorite song hes written
To fully understand this song you need to listen to most of his previous songs. He references the other songs in so many subtle ways.
Great reaction!! When u listen to this song, this is the reason why everyone should listen to his songs in order of his albums... most of the songs have means that tie together with all the layers!!
I’ve seen so many reactions to this song, and your the only one who got the message right!
Best reaction yet my friend!, this is the track that also gave me the same goosebumps, cuz I knew this guy was a lyrical genius, its not easy to put together a track like this, great reaction!
NF again is in my opinion the best rapper of all time
love your reactions, and good call on NF moving up your list.....he's in my pantheon of hip-hop artists
I love watching your reactions on NF! I started noticing you release a video everyday around this time, which makes me excited and gives me something to look forward too. As you said when you reacted to his song "Remember This" about people leaving bad comments, just remember people like me love what your doing and think your doing a great job. Thank you so much!
He’s talking about his fear!!
Love that you started reacting to NF! He's my favorite artist! U have great reactions! React to NF why please!
I'm actually really impressed with your reaction. Intro III is probably my favorite song by him, my first listen I was shaking and had chills off an on the whole song. From what I've heard this was one of the most difficult songs for him that he's ever written. He didn't even perform this track at his concert. NF is incredible.
After he finished recording this song in the studio, the producer said he was shaking... One of the most powerful songs..
Nate also goes good with intro III. When you listen to its meaning
Best reaction to this song ive ever seen, well done TMG!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
😎😇💯 First, Props! for figuring out NF is talking to his fear in "Intro 3". Many people don't get that. They're like "who is he talking to?!" lol It's A Very Real song. Powerful Powerful message. NF is a GOD ! and you are a very great at reactions man ! Good Job !
It was fear very good of you
Yes, Fear is personified.
Back in Mansion he explained it.
NF tells his story through his albums. Start at Mansion, Therapy Sessions and then Perception
NF - KNOW
NF is Top Shelf!
Warm up, note pad, outro, know and statement are a must
Nice reaction
he's talking to his anxiety/selfdoubt/negative thoughts etc.......thats how I think of it
With his music he’s telling a story. So the songs have to be listened in order
It's fear that he let in, in his song "Mansion". This song is connected to at least three other songs of his…
He's having a conversation with his Fear (see the song Mansion)... Fear starts the song, then Nate finishes it after he hits him with the shovel.
He treats emotions like that are people
The line about holding the keys leads into his next song on the album, Outcast. You should listen to that next.
EDIT: Nevermind saw this was a newer video, didn't realize you already watched it. Great stuff, literally just watched every NF reaction, first to last.
NF and Joyner Lucas are my favorite hip hop Artists these days.
Nate is his younger self that he struggles with killing off, by growing past. He made his career around moving past his historical struggles, but who is he as an artist once he moves past them and grows as a person? The song is NF arguing with Nate the Child...
You want your room back what u got nowhere to sleep. That's funny fear never sleeps.
its fear, from mansion. but fear is the guy talking
just continue through the perception album it’s amazing!!!
Hey man I love your reactions! If you want to hear some of NF's vocal ability go check out start over by him and flame where he sings on the hook
Prisoner of his own thoughts
He is talking to himself :) keep up the great vids
Impressive, figuring it out without hearing mansion first.
If you listen to his songs in order there is a story...listen to Mansion his mind is his mantion
NF to the day we die right
Fear is talking to him.
Ima just say it now, your voice reminds me of Will Smith in I Am Legend
