Best way with the shot is to gravity feed it instead of trying to suck it up Rob.
I used a large bucket with a hole in the bottom and glued a funnel in the hole.
Hang the bucket in the air and hey presto " Gravity Feed "

Great video! An idea to keep your sand bucket flowing; the vibration from the pressure washer might be enough...a little duct tape.
Funny story, While watching an industrial process of cutting a large pipe with a giant pressure washer unit and abrasive, I noticed a young lad sitting near the unit with a bag of sand on the ground in front of him. He was in charge of dipping the hose in the bag just enough to get some abrasive flowing, but not enough to clog it off. Struck me as odd, a big operation working in an oil refinery...and that was their solution.

I want to thank you very much!
In a nutshell I did a Google shopping search for a sandblaster.
I saw in the search for a pressure washer sandblaster.
    What? No way!!
I bought a sandblaster anyway but my air compressor isn't up to specs.
So, my Karcher K2 it is.
I researched UA-cam and Amazon and all showed 1/4 inch NPT connector. It's no wonder that most showed the sand feeding tube underneath as it looked awkward to hold upright.
    Karcher? Bayonet connector. Perfect!!
Along with the sandblaster, I bought a face shield. I'm glad I didn't waste my money.
Pressure washer sandblaster is also known as ' dustless ' so I don't need to use covid19 face mask or buy a proper respirator.
    Thanks again!

@@jasonwitt8619 Cool. I was doing some investigations about what the best additives would be because I want to build a tank for the garage. I saw some horror stories of guys who did serious damage to their steel in their shops using muriatic acid.
What I find interesting is something I suspect about the electrolysis process, I think the rust is not so much being removed (large flakes are) but that the oxidation state of the iron is being changed. I suspect the "rust" (red) or FE(III) is being converted to FE(II) which is black in color. What this is doing is passivation, creating a stable state oxide barrier to oxygen. (if you notice, the parts have a black coating when removed from the tank. Also interesting is processes of this type of conversion are used in gun bluing. The hot and flume bluing methods use various salts, acids, bases and boiling water treatments. So, what I am wondering is if the same chemicals can be used in an electrolysis tank to good effect.

....... Not quite a venturi effect when the pressure washer picks up the sand,, cos the pressure from a venturi shaped intake will remain greater than atmospheric pressure for high pressure water flow. Of course as a chemist you're already familiar with the vacuum pump based on the entrainment principal used in labs .Small spray particles of fast moving water absorb and whisk away the molecules of air creating a pressure drop or vacuum . High pressure steam works too ,, I wasn't thinking for cleaning purposes but who knows ,, , there's a refrigeration process based on high pressure steam flow creating the vacuum that causes the boiling of water at low temperature to provide refrigeration . Strangely enough Prof Julius Sumner Miller never covered it in his famous 1960s lectures and I never learned of the principal till my mud forties although I was always wondering about that breeze of air when using a garden hose at fine mist spray adjustment and shower curtain drawn inwards when shower is turned on ,,my eureka moment .

I been a sandblaster for 27 years environmental laws are strick in california don't know if the laws are that strick in Great Brittan no open air sandblasting allowed have to have forced air supply helmet if done long enough without safe guards you will get sick also good ideal hearing protection most shops have gone to wet sandblasting to get around the laws

it does seem a way around it that's for sure - I won't be doing a ton of it mate - but every now and then it is certainly useful

I think your camera lens needs some cleaning. Or maybe it is light glaring at it.

FYI I was playing with coils and magnets to a volt meter. Had Turkey feather laying near by so I brushed the coil with it. Short story ....... you should try it!🙄

@@ambersmith6517 I was charging a batery by hand just rubbing the feather accross a coil. Coil was junk and light. It produced more than the magnets. The feather also became magnetic. Only the negative was connected to the coil the positive had no connection to the coil.
I started a search and found a paper talking about feathers being dielectric transponders. Needs more investigation.
