A real test in real life with real stairs and real sidewalks! Thanks for the quality of this video. I think it won't be long before I replace my 16s with the s16!
I still like the RGB light-shows, and speakers on EUCs. I'm glad the Kingsong is still doing this with their new wheels. Also, it would be nice to see a performance / everyday use comparison between 50s and 50Gb cell packs of the same watt-hours in a later video.
Indeed ! I've been eyeing EUCs for so long and stopped myself getting one because of the big prices they are being sold, it's nice to see prices coming down gradually
Excellent Review! If i was starting now, I would seriously consider this as my first wheel. Since I started almost 2 years ago with the S18 (which has been great), now I'm going to move on to a bigger, faster, better wheel, like the Lynx.
Great first impressions, finally a “ light” suspension wheel 😊 I’m agree with you about the tire (CST 131 I guess), I put it on my Patton and it’s a game changer, perfect mix for on and off road! But you put 40 PSI on your tire, I just put 32 for my 180 lbs 😅
This seems like Kingsong's entrant to the category up till now reigned by the Begode T4, and before that the Inmotion V11. Do you think this wheel holds it's own against the T4 (which is known to be a reliable and repairable wheel) as a commuter? If the suspension is smoother and feels nice, or if it does better against rain, maybe so! Thanks for the look at this wheel
I have the S16 Pro with 50S battery. It is a very good wheel for the price. I dislike the pedals and waiting for eRides or Nylonove to create aftermarket pedals for it. I can confirm that there is a seat for the S16 since I already have it installed on mine. Wheel is a little too low for me to comfortable ride seated but it's good to sit on when you are at an intersection waiting for a green light. It does not have the solid build quality as an Inmotion V14 but, then again, the S16 Pro is a lot less expensive.
That’s actually the perfect sized wheel for me..Currently on a V12HT, which I really enjoy, but it made me realise that I really don’t want a wheel much bigger or heavier…it would be a pain in the azz to live with for me.. Adam..do you think friends at Kinetic will be making Nylonove pedals and pads for this wheel? They really are so good.. Also, to say… Yes..Myewheel is a brilliant company to deal with, I have bought every wheel from them, and they’ve always been excellent.. Top People..Highly recommended 👍👍 .. Great video as always…many thanks!
40 degree incline on an 84v suspension wheel? Kingsong may be considered lackluster in many performance areas, but they are really good at torque delivery for the package.
I rode it-it's a great wheel. You can't find better for this money. Power, features, suspension. Everything is at an excellent level for its price. 👍 The only thing is, I would put custom pedals.
16x was my first wheel and I had some of the best EUC times on it, even offroad. Having a suspension version and even a pro version that can go 60kph as a first wheel would be phenomenal for me back 3 years ago, I would probably skip out both on my v12hs purchase and begode master purchase.
Great content, as always. I'm considering a different lightweight wheel for my short trips. I use an RS19 HS and like it a lot, but when it's dark, it's nice to have suspension for the surprise bumps.
Thanks for yet another review Adam, much appreciate your work :) Im looking for a new commuter, all year wheel, and Ive been excited to hear about the S16 (Pro). Sadly, the non-IP rating scares me. I cannot understand why EUC manufacturers wont make IP rating standard... Sure, I could use a backpack raincover (like I have done on my 16X), but you still ride with the constant uncertainty of 'is there water spraying up into the wheel, am i slowly destroying my wheel, will I have a sudden cutout due to rain ingress). Its not the thought you want to have while riding these fantastic machines. The price, size, weight, power (for city commuting) and suspension is awesome on this wheel.. Im just not sure it will hold up with scandinavian 'all year' riding. My other option has been InMotion V14 and V11Y. Im leaning towards V14 just because it seems to be a very easy wheel to work on when having to do maintanance, but the its probably more power than I really need, much more weight than I want, and really expensive. The V11Y seems to be a very nice, tried and true wheel, BUT looks to be a pain to work on.. So many screws! And Id be afraid to void any waterproofing having to remove 'goop' from the mother board when disconnecting so many wires just for a damn tyre change. Anyways! Looking forward to your S16 Pro review as well^^ Also, will you be reviewing the V14 and V11Y as well in the future? Cheers!
My s16 Pro is not taking a charge just started yesterday haven't even had it for a month yet how did the 11 for a month sent that crap back to Amazon as quick as possible bought a T4 from ewheels and then a s16 pro I love both of the wheels and it is very pleasant dealing with ewheels
On my S16 Pro, the pedals don't squeak. Also, the velcro is continuous across the side, so I didn't even know that plate could slide out (guess I would have to cut the velcro for that) and thus the plate doesn't slide off on its own or cause that clicking problem.
no waterproofing 😞, i still use the 16S and use it in light rain/wet conditions and looking for replacement since the 166S is 5 or 6 years old. the S16 looks like a good replacement for everyday use (take it onto the train, throw it in the car, just have it with you) lets see if the pro is worth the 200€ extra.

@@andrewkosenko2757 Of course you do can compare these 2 wheels : - Both are recent design wheel - Both 16inch - Both ~30kg - Both ~ same speed - Both have good enough suspension - Both are low in price - Both are similaire in use - Both have included pads - 2500w with more voltage VS 2800w with less voltage There are only few differences (tyre, some options, battery capacity...) which makes it relevant to compare. So sad WW doesnt want to. 🙂
@@raphaelg8801 i’ve ridden both and own t4. I can safely go 50 and even s bit more on t4, but it’s not safe to go 50km/h on s16 unless you have full charge. S16 has better suspension and weight balance and pedal algorithms, feels much lighter when riding. You really shouldn’t compare motor watts tbh, because the motor is not a defining factor, the battery and the controller matters much, much more.

After the release of this S16 for several weeks already, there is still no one to compare it to the T4 pro which is clearly the equivalent but less expensive and more powerful... When will we have a real comparison with real arguments?
I go emediatly anger if i hear the name kingsong ‼️after my experience after riding 930 km...a kingsong S 22..👎👎👎never never again....i prefer to walk😁
I think the S18 could still be refreshed and be decent. Step 1) 50S cells Step 2) Same mobo as the S16 pro Step 3) Remove the plastic casing as is and just make it flat. The S18 is such a light wheel compared to all these, the main issue is the low current from the batteries. The molicell version somewhat fixed it, but the mobo didn't actually treat the cells different. Thing is, they have abandoned the S18 platform and have gone with a single platform it seems (S22 one). That's fine, and makes sense. But the S18 could be good if they wanted to make it so. It would also be cheaper still due to less cells.
bought it off someone who did a group buy , it has BMS malfunctioning and an issue with the motherboard . this product is still new I would wait a few months or a year if anyone is looking into buying it. it still has problems 👎
I was interested until I heard 1500Wh battery. Nope. Not even at that size, unless being a commuter assist to the train and back. 1800Wh wouod probably be my low limit. Otherwise nice wheel.
This direction of promoting large and fast wheels seems to me to be a bad idea. Used ones are getting cheaper. If I had to buy a wheel knowing that I would have to buy 6 protectors, a ski helmet and insurance, I wouldn't buy it. I bought it because I ride at 21 km/h and I don't dress like a skier, I don't lean out so much that I feel dangerous, and I get adrenaline from small pedals because they make me feel how difficult it is to keep my balance. And large pedals make riding a unicycle look like riding a scooter and become boring, and the only entertainment is faster speed.
S16 Pro is my first EUC, and now also my only vehicle. It's great! I commute 10miles a day, and make full use of the 35mph top speed.
Recently got the S16 Pro myself, it's a decently fun wheel! Reminds me of my old V11 with better suspension and better quality.

@@Secret4us Yeaah welp I’ll be looking for a small EV now I guess. I’ll do one more adventure in the van just to make sure that that’s the problem.
Bugs charging issue happened to me, connect to the app and reset the bms both temporary solved, till kingsong update the firmwre
Got you. How do you reset them?
@@mr_wrongway ask kingsong for the "KS tuner app" they will give you a link for download.

Wish we could have a 70kph capable S19 Pro, or a 100v 70kph S16. There's no reason a 100v wheel with 50S batteries should be limited to 60kph in 2024
S16 or T4 ? 😁
T4 has no smart bms, I don’t test wheels without one :)
T4 is a 100v wheel, s16 is 84v wheel, you cannot compare those directly.
@@andrewkosenko2757 Of course you do can compare these 2 wheels :
- Both are recent design wheel
- Both 16inch
- Both ~30kg
- Both ~ same speed
- Both have good enough suspension
- Both are low in price
- Both are similaire in use
- Both have included pads
- 2500w with more voltage VS 2800w with less voltage
There are only few differences (tyre, some options, battery capacity...) which makes it relevant to compare.
So sad WW doesnt want to. 🙂
I was getting frustrated waiting and nearly went T4, can't wait till Saturday for a test drive
You really shouldn’t compare motor watts tbh, because the motor is not a defining factor, the battery and the controller matters much, much more.

this or begode t4 pro????
I won’t review begode t4 pro - it has no smart bms
I feel smthng wrong... 33Kg is not heavy... s18 is 25Kg and i feel it`s heavy enough already and it`s the lightest wheel among ones with suspension
As someone who lives in America I can absolutely agree cars suck!

I got half way through this video wondering why they redesigned this wheel, before I realized I was confusing it with the S19! 😂
Haha I don’t blame you! KS is making very similar wheels!
How interesting for a 65kg rider.... and 1.63m.
подвеска у меня стучит а так колесо отличное
1:16 😂😂😂
After the release of this S16 for several weeks already, there is still no one to compare it to the T4 pro which is clearly the equivalent but less expensive and more powerful... When will we have a real comparison with real arguments?
To be fair. In europe as far as I know the s16 even the pro is cheaper than t4/pro
I wish that the T4 would be as cheap in Europe but it isnt😢
I go emediatly anger if i hear the name kingsong ‼️after my experience after riding 930 km...a kingsong S 22..👎👎👎never never again....i prefer to walk😁
This actually kills KS S18.
Head on!
I think the S18 could still be refreshed and be decent.
Step 1) 50S cells
Step 2) Same mobo as the S16 pro
Step 3) Remove the plastic casing as is and just make it flat.
I had a BMS error but once I updated the firmware its been fine
Computer says No :P
Sometimes! Yes 😭
@@mr_wrongway Yeah it sucks :Þ
у этого колеса только два минуса-вес и цена-все таки для моей страны-2000$-очень дорого
I was interested until I heard 1500Wh battery. Nope. Not even at that size, unless being a commuter assist to the train and back. 1800Wh wouod probably be my low limit. Otherwise nice wheel.
If you live in a big city and use the subway all the time, you need a lot of lightness and mobility. and there is no much alternative under 15kg euc.
