Not a product recommended but money saving tip I got from someone on UA-cam- cut your sponges in half. It will save money and you will easily get used to using a “smaller” sponge.
I have a wonderful idea, not my original idea, but I’ve used it and find it wonderful! I bought a bulk bag of garlic, run it through my food processor, I bought a small cookie scoop, scoop the garlic out onto a cookie sheet. I do the same thing with ginger. Freeze these “pucks” on a cookie sheet and then put them into labeled bag. Double bag it to ensure it’s not stinking up your freezer.
We buy the ziplock freezer bags and wash and reuse those, chair than reusable ones, a box lasts about 6 months. Even though they aren't meant to be reusable, they hold up well to being handwashed and I can reuse the same bag at least 6x, sometimes a lot more, depending on what I store in it.
I hand wash sandwich bags and let them air dry in the dishwasher and reuse. I reuse them so much that I went a couple decades without having to buy another box of them.
I received a Breville Express Espresso machine for Christmas one year from my wife, it was about $500 then. I work from home and make a latte daily for less than $1. I know it’s a lot of money up front but, it’s convenient and it would cost me at least $7 to purchase the same drink from out. I’ve had the machine for 2 years now and have made back my original purchase price.
Good one! I've had my Breville for 5 years now and it's saved me SOOO much money compared to buying coffee. It has paid for itself many times over. Tastes better, too, because I can use skim milk and froth it myself the way I like it(without scorching it like baristas frequently did back in the day). I buy my favorite sugar-free flavorings from the local resturaunt supply store for under $6 a bottle and I can have whatever flavor of latte I want, too. SO many to choose from.
I bought a bento box for my work lunches a few months ago and it’s been the best thing ever! I don’t use reusable bags any more and I take soda stream bottles with water in them to work as well
Here are two that most people know about but I mention them for those who don't. Reusable cloth dish towels instead of paper towels and cloth diapers instead of disposable diapers. Also buying a good portable fan (I like Vornado) and/or space heater can save lots of money on heating/AC bills.
YES!! I bought a Vornado this winter and love it! It gets my son’s room toasty in minutes and I’ve been able to set the thermostat much lower. Hoping to get another one 😁😁
I've heard people say that you don't actually save money with cloth diapers because of the increase in your water and electric bill. But at least where I live, that's definitely not been the case. It was definitely worth it for me
@@rebekahmontesdeoca565true and unless you care about waste, diapers are actually not that expensive! Found out this year.. it's probably the least expensive part of having a baby. And then you don't have to mess with cloth diapers lol

There is a $1 plastic drain-snake-thing at the dollar tree that is actually pretty effective. Not as good as the real thing, I’m sure, but I can use it a few times a year to keep drains clear before they get clogged then I don’t need a fancier one 👍
A set of rims for your winter tires. This can save you $60-$80-$100 per seasonal change, so twice that per year. My tire place charges $0 for switching the tires out if one set was bought through them (or is a set they sell), as long as the tires are already mounted on their own set of rims. It's been well worth it for us to just buy an extra set of (used) rims and keep both sets mounted.
When I buy groceries that use paper bags I use those paper bags for my garbage and recycling 😅 I don’t go out and buy garbage bags like that since I just use paper grocery bags and get multiples of them
Money saving products we use are: 1. Plastic covers with elastic for bowls in frig. Saves on tinfoil or plastic wrap. 2. Silicone ziploc baggies. 3. Butter wrappers for greasing pans instead of spray. 4. Mayonaise for eggs in baking if some needs used up or may be cheaper. Just a scoop works as an egg. Works in banana bread and tetrazinni. Mayo is made with eggs and oil so why not? 5. Vacuum seal meats and freeze it to last longer. 6. Buying more shelf stable foods such as canned veggies and fruits as well as meat. 7. Using vinegar to clean sinks with instead of cleaners. 8. Drying rack instead of using the dryer. 9. Watch smartphone instead of t.v to save on electricity. 10. Using electric skillet, instapot, and toaster oven instead of oven whenever possible. 10. Use blinds on windows to keep cold out.
Mayo is also a great “ butter” for bread when making a grilled sandwich such as grilled cheese. Butter is to expensive to use when mayo works beautifully.
Do as much of your own car maintenance as you are comfortable with. Labor is $150/hr near me and I simply cannot afford it anymore. UA-cam is an amazing teacher!
AutoZone offers free brake pads for your vehicle. You pay for the first ones and when you need to replace them you can bring in your brakes (if you have another vehicle) and they swap them or they will charge you for another set and refund your money when you bring the used brakes in. It doesn’t matter the condition of the pads you bring in.
@@freedomfundmoney I used to think that way and lacked confidence. I started working on my own cars after tech school and haven't stopped since. Just changed two CV axles for less than having a shop do one and I'm confident on the road. Start small, work your way up. Good ol' Haynes manual, too.
Vacuum sealer! Especially as a single dweller it's been a huge way to reduce food waste. Especially for ingredients I don't use often. Just vacuumed and froze shredded red cabbage for future (cooked) dishes instead of wasting 3/4 of a head of lettuce for one or two meals this week
I am not a gadget person. My son bought me a vacuum sealer for Christmas several years ago and it was a game changer! I buy Wevac Vacuum Sealer Bags 8 inchx50 foot rolls that you can adjust the size of the bag. That saves a lot of money.
Paper towel on top of lettuce/spinach change daily - keep dry and use all the spinach. Freeze perfectly ripened sliced and peeled avocado for smoothies. Game the fridge by using all the produce before it goes bad. I dislike throwing rotten food $$$ in the trash.
I bought the pet clippers for my dog, the clippers cost me 20 dollars and I would have her clipped was about $50 a pop. She would get about three clips a year. Those clippers last me 5 years.
I no longer have horses so use my clippers for one of my dogs & the horse brushes too . My thirty yr. old clippers are Oster ( w/ two types of blades ) - paid $100. & used literally hundreds of times so definitely got my money's worth ! 🐕 🐎🙂
I use old Terry cloth facecloths (washcloths) on my Swiffer mop. Fits perfectly and works great dampened with water to pick up dust instead of the dry disposable cloths. Used wet after a spritz of home diluted spray cleaner it works better than the disposable wet Swiffer cloths. Wrung out with plain hot tap water it is a terrific dust cloth or a cleaning rag. If you worry about mixing them up with the fresh new facecloths just mark the old cleaning cloths with a sharpie marker
I just bought a water bottle from Amazon for 20.00 for my husband and myself. We were buying a lot of bottled water. Thanks for all the tips! We also appreciate the Everydollar Budget!
I always use a Lifeproof Fre case for my phone. I’ve dropped it from the top of a soccer stadium bleacher face down on the concrete and zero damage. They are a little more costly but worth it.
I love you Rachel. On a different video you made you said to get LED lights and we did and our energy bill this month was $50 lower Yea!! Now I'm off to Amazon to buy some of the things you just spoke about. Thank you for helping us.
Be qaware that LED light contain mercury (a toxin). If the lights break they leak mercury into the environment and landfills....very dangerous to humans health. Mercury poisoning!
Few years ago, I bought a 3 pack of sandwich holders. Not only are they washable, but I don't have to worry about my sandwich accidentally getting squished. I also use one when I'm making French toast. It's just the right size to put a piece of bread in to get the egg mixture on it. Also, forget the Keurig coffee maker. A drip coffee maker is so much cheaper and you can make more than a cup at a time.
Norwex makes a silicone "lid" for a 9x13 casserole dish. I use that instead of aluminum foil for dishes that need to be covered while baking. Love it. I use the same kind of cover (shaped like a flower) for covering bowls in my frig, I also use plates and saucers to cover left overs in the frig. I haven't purchased plastic wrap in years. (Although Great Value Premium, from Walmart, is the best.)
If you have children, make sure they know how to cook! The rule at my house was if you don't help cook, you don't eat. Too many people can't cook. Also, buy yourself a set of high-quality pans and glass storage containers with lids. I try to keep 5-8 leftover/frozen meals in the freezer at any given time. It's easy to grab one for work, or heat up if I don't feel like cooking.
A plumbers snake is also called a plumbing auger. There are two types one for the toliet, and one that is multi-purpose. The one that is designed for the toliet has a ruberized section to help prevent damaging the porcelain of the tolet bowl, you can also wrap the unit with electrical tape for more protection.
Awesome video! Id recommend including photos of the products being mentioned, if possible. I like visuals, so I can see items and know what to look for when making a switch.
Thank you rachel for the tips. I have been using The reusable K cups for years and absolutely love it. I can choose my own coffee grind my own coffee make it by the cup so I’m not wasting coffee And I have a chopper and a phone case protector. It’s good to know I’m on the right track :-) but I guess I just thought these things were normal lol
The drain snake….when we got one I couldn’t believe I ever lived without one. Ours was 25 dollars a few years ago btw. Very cheap considering what plumbers cost. It was so cheap it didn’t seem right…but it was.

Forget the dryer balls when you’re going to use your dryer put half the wet clothes in the dryer then take a clean dry bath towel and throw it on top then throw the rest of the wet clothes in and start the dryer. This will allow you to decrease the drying time and you don’t have to purchase those wool dryer balls.

Dave's hair is pretty easy. I think Rachel's could be done with no heat methods. Lots of TR videos on wrapping hair around a sock, etc. I think the *no heat curls*would render many hits.
I ditched the Keurig and bought a coffee maker that grinds beans for $99. Buying coffee beans is less expensive and the coffee tastes so much fresher when you grind your own beans.
Is it all in one machine? Way back in 1999 I bought a coffee maker with an attached bean grinder for my college apartment (bought from QVC). I loved that thing, but somehow I either lost it, broke it, or one of my roommates inherited it.
If you're spending $18+ for 100 sandwich baggies, you're doing it wrong. You can get 100 ziplock-type sandwich baggies for right around $2 at Aldi or Wal-Mart, which would be approximately $10 for 500. So, as long as the reusable bags last more than 2 years, then you could save money, but it would take 2 years just to break even.
I do my own gel nails at home. It saves a ton of money and doesn’t tear up my nails like the salon will. You can buy everything you need for the price of one manicure at the salon.
So I bought a manicure gel kit with led lights and a bunch of assorted nail polishes for about $30 at the beginning of the year and it has saved me so much since I used to get my nails done monthly for about $55
Most of these hints are basically unusable, for me. Water bottles, for instance are the only viable way to provide water (as is required) for our job site workers. Bottled spring water, if chosen wisely, is a cleaner source of water than city water, which contains chlorine, fluoride, and various other chemicals. Each person would have to bring their own individual, refillable water bottles, in a large enough quantity to last them the entire day, and that might not pass OSHA. Their only option for refilling those bottles would be city water. Using a large water jug to serve everyone is not feasible, because OSHA has regulations requiring the company to have a certified water jug maintenance person. We prefer to minimize OSHA's influence in our lives. I do my nails with a pair of clippers, so I am already saving the max on that one! The sparkling water advice would be applicable, if we used the sparkling water at home. We generally use it on the road, or on job sites, where we need a well sealed package to keep it fresh and keep it from spilling in the cooler. I guess I live a different life. Most of this "money saving" advice fits in the same category as the nail polish advice, for me.
I have the reusable bags and love them! I have them in three sizes so I can also freeze meals when I batch cook or any left overs. It is so nice to not be buying all that plastic and helping the planet also.
Microfibers towels instead of paper towels. Water: no need for Windex or other cleaning products! If you really need to disinfect use white vinegar!!! I even put it in my laundry . Just 1-2 teaspoons or tablespoon for extra dirty clothes and a double rinse. You only need a pea size blob of tooth paste. You only need about a teaspoon of laundry detergent for your clothes!!!! Open all the doors and windows when it's hot and run the fan not the AC!!! This will keep the airflow going. Grocery shop at Aldi's or a Walmart supercenter. For those of us that have a regular metabolism or slow metabolism. Try intermittent fasting. If you have health issues go through your doctor. It can be healthy, save money on food and promote a healthy diet. When your cold in the winter don't run the heater a lot just layer up. If you run out of toner try apple cider vinegar. Just put an itty but in the palm of your hand and pat. If you run out out of moisturizer, try an itty but of coconut oil, avocado oil or olive oil and pat. Wash your clothes in cold water. Sheets too! They last longer and they're just as clean. Always do a double rinse. Soap disintegrates your clothing fibers.
I buy 1 bottle of water per week for work. I refill it multiple times a day at the water fountain. At home, I use my Tervis containers for coffee and water.
I can tell people can’t shop. Just the amount you said you’d spend on the sandwich bags is crazy. Walgreens sale buy 1 get 2 free. Total cost $2.65 for 3 boxes. This is just one example. 4:20
If you want something healthy for your nails and is amazing try the Sistaco mineral powder. If you buy the kit it comes with the led light to cure. It is much better for your nails. I stopped doing nail salon and got this system. It's amazing, it's good for your nails, beautiful colors, and lasts longer than regular nail polish! No I do not sell it, I just use it. Saving so much 💰💰
Drain snakes--yes! In the ever so often chance that my drains clog, these snakes get the job done instantly! Highly recommend. Reusable water bottles-- yes! My little ones use a water slings to keep from losing their bottles at school. (I hate the thought of little ones being thirsty. So sad.)
Soda stream is actually expensive because you have to buy the refill carbonation cartridge... so unless you drink multiple carbonated drinks a day, it could end up costing more
I love packing my sandwiches in those old wonder bread sandwich containers. When frozen came out I loved it so much that I got a sandwich container with Olaf on it. My dad packs more sandwiches to work than me. I sometimes pack his lunch in it. 😂
Great ideas! Papa Dave might like reloading ammo vs buying new range ammo, have to be careful and shoot a lot but could save you a lot of money, but something to look into and could be part of a hobby.
Rachel referenced Amazon as to how much certain items cost. I usually do price comparison shopping before a purchase. Amazon can cost considerably more than other retailers. Their prices are inflated on many items. Often not the best place to shop if you want the best price. Beware and check around.
As for the reusable water bottle, it only makes sense if the quality of the water you fill it with would be equal or better than the bottle of water. Some people live where they use well water, because housing costs are lower. But, ground/well water has a bit of contaminants, so buying bottled water is the way to go. However, you can get larger amounts of water in larger containers to save a bit of money in the long run.
I do many of the things in the video, or things that are relevant to me, but some other stuff I do is! Some stuff I do: Reusable period products: period cup, period underwear, and period liners Reusable silicone liners for air fryer- plan on doing the same for my muffin tin, as there was some small rust spots because of trying to use a knife to get the muffins out.. I hardly ever use paper towels- I just use washcloths, unless I am cleaning something gross (like pet accidents, or toilet.) I also make my own Febreeze, I just use a little bit of Fabric softener (since we no longer use it for laundry) that is cheap, and water, and then put in spray bottle! so much cheaper and it lasts a long time. I never buy bottled water; I just always have a cup with me. I also use a writing pad, instead of using a note pad (like at work) I got 4 for $8 on Amazon, and you can write and erase by clicking the button. I use dryer balls, instead of dryer sheets I usually get the glass food containers as they last longer, and I have less trouble with them breaking, and better in the dishwasher and microwave, and I can cut things in them at work! ( I am sure there are other things I do but that's what I can think of right now! )
For salon hair products, I buy the regular size the first time and large size when available and refill the regular size and travel size bottles. In addition, i make homemade cleaning products made with ingredients like baking soda, white vinegar, and dish soap. They are safer and better for the environment.
I like the reusable Ziploc baggie idea... Here's a few more.. Gel nail polish number one and number two and then you don't need to use the light I found the sodastream a waste of money and hassell so I brought it back Beeswax embedded cloth for wrapping food Worm bin for my vegetable scraps if I don't use the scraps to make soup stock Washable mop applicators which can be bought or made out of socks Air dry lightweight clothes on the hanger ♻️ As much as possible Learn some of the old arts such as canning, freezing, dehydrating. Tea is easy to grow and usually invasive so you will always have plenty 😂 I will stop now cuz I literally could write a book! 😂
I have told my wife a few times that I wish we could get reusable kcups but never looked into it, thinking they didn't exist. Then I watched this video, and you mentioned them! Now I need to go find them.....thank you.

I have tried most brands of regular coffee with the reusable filter and I don’t know why it doesn’t taste right. I have started buying the compostable ones. Definitely makes me feel better about the environment impact
Depends what I used it for. I’m throwing away the one I used on raw chicken. It’s not worth it for food poisoning and a hospital bill. I can see doing that for foods that don’t require cooking after taking them out of the bag.
My Cell Phone Service Provider wanted $19.00 and some change for a Replacement Phone Charger, and I paid about $8.00 for mine at Walmart. The Walmart Charger was also a better Quality Charger than my Cell Phone Providers, it had a heavier Cord. I also purchased my Screen protector from Walmart for a much cheaper price. In the future I will be Purchasing my Cell Phone Accessories from Walmart.
Reusable sandwich bags. OMG!!!!!!! First Amazon basic sandwich bags are $7.30 for 300, not $18 for 100. Then if you do try to reuse bags, you need to carry them around after you use them and wash and dry them. If the washing doesn't waste more than 2.4 cents a bag, the time wasted is just ridiculous. Also I already have a veg chopper. It is called a kitchen knife. Are people really this silly?

Here’s how a few hundred dollars up front can save thousands of dollars depending on a few things. I have been giving expecting parents new cloth diapers that grow with the baby. For less than $180 I can buy 21 cloth diapers from Nora’s Nursery. I let the parents pick the designs for 3 packs of 7. No matter how broke they are, they’ll have diapers. No chemicals on baby. They can be used on future children. And don’t take 500 years in a landfill to break down while leaching harmful chemicals. If some others get them a few more, they’re set. I have one young lady who has used a set of diapers for four different children. It was another brand, quite a few years ago. But they last. Many can be resold when they finish having kids.
I have more! Cloth diapers!! We used these for our daughter and spent maybe $180 to diaper her for almost 2 years. And then I sold them for around $80 afterwards because we didn’t have more kids. Clothes line or indoor drying rack! Stop paying to dry your clothes! Dishes set! We do not ever buy paper plates or cups just to toss. Menstrual cup/cloth pads. Need I say more? No more late night trips to the drugstore! Dish towels. We haven’t purchased paper towels in almost 10 years. The little things add up. Side note: does anyone else hate the reusable keurig cup? I have one and I just cannot see to get it right 😂

I came of age in late 60's. Very organic + earth friendly ever since 1st Earth Day 1970 despite living in cities, suburbs, town's. Ive learned ways to re-use things. I know it saves 💰 . Yet my goal over 52years was to not damage our earth...... this video aligns w/my hope 4 the Earth + now we all need 2 save money. Thanks Rachael. To the people who responded thanks 4 some great ideas. CIAO AMORE.
There is a $1 plastic drain-snake-thing at the dollar tree that is actually pretty effective. Not as good as the real thing, I’m sure, but I can use it a few times a year to keep drains clear before they get clogged then I don’t need a fancier one 👍
I have waist length hair and every Sunday my husband uses one of those to clean the tub drain 😂 never had to call a plumber yet
Yep! I just bought one at the Dollar Tree!😊
When I buy groceries that use paper bags I use those paper bags for my garbage and recycling 😅 I don’t go out and buy garbage bags like that since I just use paper grocery bags and get multiples of them
My fav money savers....
Blackout curtains
Reusable gallon freezer bags
Beeswax wraps
Reusable kitchen towels
Brita water pitcher
Electric skillet
Money saving products we use are:
I do a few of these things too.
We use a saucer or plate over bowls in fridge whenever possible.
Waste not, want not.
Mahalo nui fo list 👍🏽
Mayo is also a great “ butter” for bread when making a grilled sandwich such as grilled cheese. Butter is to expensive to use when mayo works beautifully.
Do as much of your own car maintenance as you are comfortable with. Labor is $150/hr near me and I simply cannot afford it anymore. UA-cam is an amazing teacher!
No way, will probably do more harm than good.
YT has great home maintenance videos too!
@@aerotech9804 Nice 👍 My situation allows me to leave that to the professionals, but more power to anyone bold enough to do it themselves 👊
We use glass container with lids instead of throw away containers and baggies: yes it just saves.
I love the makeup spatula that helps you get all your products out of their containers!
Interesting 😮
Yes, it's called Spatty
But you don't need a special tool for that. I use whatever is handy and scrape all the makeup out.
I always add flavour to my tap water. It is called a chunk of lemon or lime.
Nice!
Shop at Aldi is really huge for me !!!
I miss Aldi. :)
Fully agree. A good phone case and glass screen protector is a must.
Why a must?
I always use a Lifeproof Fre case for my phone. I’ve dropped it from the top of a soccer stadium bleacher face down on the concrete and zero damage. They are a little more costly but worth it.
@@freedomfundmoney $20 in physical phone protection allows you to avoid the repair shop or having to buy another phone.
@@bradleymaravalli2851 Oh, yes, got ya. Thanks.
Wool dryer balls are great instead of dryer sheets - haven't bought dryer sheets going on about a decade now.
I place a few drops of lemongrass oil on mine. I just learned that besides smelling lovely, it's a natural mosquito repellent.
I love you Rachel. On a different video you made you said to get LED lights and we did and our energy bill this month was $50 lower Yea!! Now I'm off to Amazon to buy some of the things you just spoke about. Thank you for helping us.
You’ll probably get a good deal since we just finished the holiday season 😊
Be qaware that LED light contain mercury (a toxin). If the lights break they leak mercury into the environment and landfills....very dangerous to humans health. Mercury poisoning!
Shampoo bar. $5.00 at Target. Last a long time. No plastic waste.
Funny how things that are good for the environment will also save you money. We all need to live less disposable for many reasons.
Where did you get your reusable K cups, and which do you recommend?
I've always used k-kup reusable filters ever since I got my k-kup machine, & I've gone through several lol
The drain snake….when we got one I couldn’t believe I ever lived without one. Ours was 25 dollars a few years ago btw. Very cheap considering what plumbers cost. It was so cheap it didn’t seem right…but it was.
Got a plunger 🪠?
Buy the hair catchers for over the drains, the hair will collect on top of it, first step is preventing!
Great tips love them all
Love doing my own manicure with the gel polish and lamp
Also grate your own cheese and cut your own cheese sticks
They may not peel the same but really it’s just cheese lol
Grating your own cheese saves you from some icky additives too!
8:11 My phone case has a little cover that closes and protects the screen. It also has 10 Benjamins in it.
Also Wool dryer balls will help save on dryer sheets
Forget the dryer balls when you’re going to use your dryer put half the wet clothes in the dryer then take a clean dry bath towel and throw it on top then throw the rest of the wet clothes in and start the dryer. This will allow you to decrease the drying time and you don’t have to purchase those wool dryer balls.
How do you style your hair like that? Trying to do it on my daughter's hair. It looks beautiful!

Rechargeable batteries. Usually pay for themselves within 3-6 months. Saving 💵💵 after that
I buy "Enelopes" off Amazon. Love them for my electric candles.
Rechargeable batteries last for years
Vinegar in the as fabric softener in the clothes washer. No need for dryer sheets, no expensive or toxic chemicals.
I love my soda stream! I got the one with glass bottles. It saves me at least $45 a week since our whole family loves sparkling water!
Love tips. Thank you for these videos! Keep bringing this content!
Next time, it would be great to see examples so people can see the items you are mentioning.
Oh another one. Shower caps for sandy shoes or traveling. I get 8/$1.25
I have the reusable bags and love them! I have them in three sizes so I can also freeze meals when I batch cook or any left overs. It is so nice to not be buying all that plastic and helping the planet also.
Great tips Rachel!
Dipwell makes an AMAZING home dip mail kit. I never go to the salon anymore because if this! Just FIY for all you dip mail friends.
I buy 1 bottle of water per week for work. I refill it multiple times a day at the water fountain. At home, I use my Tervis containers for coffee and water.
Big fan of the reusable K cups! $10-15 for a bag of coffee vs $36 for the k cups and you get about the same amount out of it
You’re getting some bougie coffee it it’s 10-15 dollars
So sad.)
Soda stream is actually expensive because you have to buy the refill carbonation cartridge... so unless you drink multiple carbonated drinks a day, it could end up costing more
That thing IS pricey!
Soda stream gets expensive because you have to keep replacing the cartridge.
I use glass containers for everything With lids
Healthier than plastic containers too!
Some stuff I do:
Reusable period products: period cup, period underwear, and period liners
Reusable silicone liners for air fryer- plan on doing the same for my muffin tin, as there was some small rust spots because of trying to use a knife to get the muffins out..
I hardly ever use paper towels- I just use washcloths, unless I am cleaning something gross (like pet accidents, or toilet.)
I also make my own Febreeze, I just use a little bit of Fabric softener (since we no longer use it for laundry) that is cheap, and water, and then put in spray bottle! so much cheaper and it lasts a long time.
I never buy bottled water; I just always have a cup with me.
I also use a writing pad, instead of using a note pad (like at work) I got 4 for $8 on Amazon, and you can write and erase by clicking the button.
I use dryer balls, instead of dryer sheets
I usually get the glass food containers as they last longer, and I have less trouble with them breaking, and better in the dishwasher and microwave, and I can cut things in them at work!
Gel nail polish number one and number two and then you don't need to use the light
I found the sodastream a waste of money and hassell so I brought it back
Beeswax embedded cloth for wrapping food

Veggie choppers are amazing! Mine has saved me so much time (and money) over the years!
I bought app controlled outlet adapters to keep my kids in check with their electronics and lamps.
I have tried most brands of regular coffee with the reusable filter and I don’t know why it doesn’t taste right. I have started buying the compostable ones. Definitely makes me feel better about the environment impact
1:03 Who says standard zipper bags can’t be cleaned and reused?
Depends what I used it for. I’m throwing away the one I used on raw chicken. It’s not worth it for food poisoning and a hospital bill.
I can see doing that for foods that don’t require cooking after taking them out of the bag.

Good Morning Rachel, do you have an alternate to using a budgeting app?
Paper and pencil.

@@aerotech9804 thank you for following up with me. I agree apps. For me, I don’t trust them. Especially having any kind of knowledge or access to my bank account. I think you’re right. Going back to old school , pen & paper, would work. My computer broke so Excel isn’t an option right now.
@@urano4810 Thank you for following up with me! I’m going to go old school with pen & paper. Unfortunately my computer broke & it hasn’t been replaced.
I have one and I just cannot see to get it right 😂
Our espresso machine, hands down. Bought it 5 years ago, and since, I have felt zero desire to buy any Starbucks or other take out coffee when out and about. We must’ve saved thousands.
I've had dogs that needed haircuts for the last15 years (a Yorkie followed by a Maltese) and have saved a lot of money by having my own electric shears. Downside is that, although I've been doing it for years, I've never gotten any good at it.
