The option is indeed incredibly welcomed but Assetto Corsa was always meant to be a hardcore Racing Simulator! It was aimed at a certain type of gamer. Most of my friends won’t play it because it is…. Too hard. It’s a Racing Simulator haha no one said racing was easy
I find AC is a much more rewarding experience, but I do agree that an open word gaming simulator would be pretty damn sweet! I love speed but I also like to be responsible on the road so AC is here for all of us, totalled my car 3 times already today, didn’t cost me a penny

Also GT5/6 had Shoutoku express way but only as a race circuit without free roam. Nowadays GT sport is mostly Racecars Circuit battle. Miss Tokyo Xtreme Racer or Initial D, sadly there are no Sim like racing games with free roam or something like that. The great DriveClub was similar but only racing

Does the offical copy of the game itself permit use of mods? Or are these people using cracked games to mod? If so then how are they able to play multiplayer? ... Assetto Corsa doesn't have offical servers where everybody must race wiyh equal rules. Servers are private, so they set their own rules and decide which mod tracks or cars they will use.

How do you get the AI trafic cars driving around in union island? Is that another addon for bringing more normal cars that are not heavy for gameplay? :-)
There is an ai spline addon for union island, yeah. Not too heavy if you keep the number of ai vehicles relatively low, say 12-16. The game keeps despawning cars behind and spawning cars in front of you as you go, so that means there are a maximum of set ai cars on track. If you set it to 15, then max 15 for example.

Circuits are boring as shit. Give me more open roads.
Highforce with traffic is the most intense of the free roams. The narrow roads really make it a frantic affair if you put your foot down.

High force is amazing for a low hp car. I also downloaded a mod for an alfa 155 q4 and it has a 184 hp i4, which makes it great fun

High Force UK doesn't seem very realistic. The lanes are about 3 foot too wide for a B road.

Maps are mods themselves, but you'll need custom shaders patch for some of them to work properly.
I'm really struggling to figure out how to get the traffic mod working. the mod creator's explination is lackluster and I can't figure it out.
