    Love this! I reduce the sugar a bit because i use toffee pecans in mine. You are right, super easy and quick to make.

    My favorite pie. With vanilla ice cream it's Heaven. Have to add a funny sidenote. Here in Tennessee, and I guess in Texas, we say pecan the way you and I do (puh-cahn). But I have friends in south Georgia who say "pea-can" (like tin can). They make fun of me for saying it like I'm speaking "in French." Anyhow, regardless of how you say it, it is awesome.

    I made this yesterday for my family and they absolutely loved it and so did I, I never knew how easy it was to make. For years I shyed away because I thought it was hard or tricky to make. This will for sure go in my recipe box!

    I have trouble with how much it jiggles in the center when I take it out of the oven. Never sure if it’s done. Will try yours, thank you. Looks good.

    Chef Jeffrey, you make it look so easy. I tried to bake a pecan pie before, and my grandson, said, " Memaw what is this.?" I had to laugh myself. It was like a hard cookie. Guess what? I am going to follow your steps and try it again until it comes out like yours. Thank you again, you are great.

    I made the same recipe for the holidays and added Burbon and a little shaved chocolate. I also made Burbon sauce on the side.

      The pie turn out great on the top. But the crust is very hard and seems to be like hard candy. Did I par bake too long or poked the crust too many times? Seems like some ingredients seeped through the crust. I'm 🤔. But the top filling is wonderful. I'm trying again tomorrow

    Just to be clear should we toast the pecans? Also, I noticed you used 6 eggs for two pies wherein the write up for one pie is 4 eggs.

    Deep dish pie crusts? Well, I've got mini pie crusts and muffin pans so I think I'll just use those and save the deep dish crusts for the pumpkin pies. Thank you for the recipe.

    We used to call this a Karo pie, because it's made with light Karo corn syrup. I make this for Christmas, and new year.

      GG I always use regular pie crusts unless I want to make the filling a little thicker then I would use the deep dish! With or will work!

    I made this recipe and it’s super yummy but the weird thing that happened was one one of my pies it looks like the pie crust that is supposed to be on the bottom ended up on top of the pie under the first layer of pecans. Idk what I did wrong. I haven’t tasted the other pie yet but it looks normal.
