This guy cut -2dB at 19Khz on Sundara... who the hell hear something there? 2 FULL DECIBELS GUYS!!1 He hears coins at 19Khz. So he cuts 2 DECIBELS and he no longer hear coins at 19Khz. 2 DECIBELS was enough to stop hearing coins.
Most likely a bluff. I can hear a 19.5K test tone (in my left ear) but to hear a 2dB difference there? I doubt it. Not saying it's impossible, just unlikely.
Off topic, but I appreciate your hands and nails being moisturized and manicured. A LOT of other reviewers come on with ashy skin, and crusty bitten nails.
Nice to have some comparison vids like this! Keep up the great work man. Between the 3 it's honestly hard pickings. All 3 are fantastic headphones. I have the 660S2, Elex, and I gave away my Sundara to my partner (she loves it). Love all 3 headphones myself! Currently enjoying Arya v2 with Dekoni hybrid elite pads. Also, one thing sennheiser has been able to do quite well is timbre. 660S2 is an easy pick if you appreciate timbre.
I don't really see how +2db bass increase will make any difference 🤔 Literally, like there is no bass in there lol. I am bumping up the bass of my Edition XS, +6db, with additional Xbass enabled on my Ifi Zen Can, so I can feel the enjoyment of it.
@@soulfulfool Yeh, it is sealed properly no issues there. The thing is... what I think is a good bass does not necessarily apply to the others taste. I love when I not only hear the bass, but when I physically feel it. IMO this is the only frequency range that gives joy when you actually feel it instead of hearing it only. Out of the box this, and many other headphones don't have good bass, so yeh, when I EQ it, it punches really good :)
The Elex is not less resolving or detailed than the Sundara, actually it's probably on par with the HD700 in terms of pure technical performance. DMS in his initial analysis even said that in some amps the Elex can resolve with an accuracy that remembers the HD800s, which I agree. I have compared the Elex with the Ananda side by side both equalized using oratory1990 Harman curve, and the difference in technical performance including resolution, speed, decay, imaging accuracy, etc, was probably about 5% at max, so I doubt that the Sundara is really noticeable better in technical performance if both HP are equalized for the same curve. I mean outside the box even the dt1990 sounds more "detailed", "airy" and "expansive" than the Elex or even the Clears, but when you equalize for the same curve you can see that the technical performance of the Focals are at least one step ahead.
easy pick out of these 3 at least when someone have decent tube amp...660 or at current offers for 350 you can get Ananda Stealth its what I bought because why not if its dirty cheap
Sundara's are overrated IMO. They colourize the sound a lot and add some metallic "can" sound at times. I feel if someone say they are good the rest jump on the bandwagon. Focal Elex are likely far better. But of course more costly. The Sundaras according to most are also worst in comfort because they have no flex at all. Sennheiser is known for how good they feel because they "dissapear" after a while. Initially they have clamp. But that goes away.
If you want to have a more in depth review about the potential of Focal headphones I recommend the channel called Amplify Audio Reviews, this guy has some interested comparisons. I recommend that you see his video about why he prefers the Focal Utopia better than the Hifiman Susvara.

Could you recomend me a good option for listening music? Under 700€!!
@@LandsPlanes I don't understand what you're asking for recommendations for? Headphones? Dacs and amps?
that ended a bit abruptly, but nice comparison!

Voice like smooth peanut butter. Great review char
This true, other reviewers say Sundara has big soundstage but I have a Sundara for 3yrs now and the sound feels closer to my ears than a HD660s.
Exactly i have them and 660s Soundstage is bigger .
where did the end of the video go?
I recently bought the Arya after owning S2 and Sundara and now I'm confused xD
great review! do you got your hands on the meze 109 pros yet?
You should try the ifi zen Air Can desktop Amplifier by ifi it’s good

Some headphones respond more stongly to EQ than others.
@@Lost1ntheSauc3 With +2db bass bump only I don't think you will feel any difference, regardless how well the headphone responds to EQ...
are you sure those egg cups are proper sealed on your jaw? xD kids hype all over the place that xs got lot of bass
