Most underrated guitarist in blues rock. Saw him play with Jeff Healey in 98-99 . He was great then, now he's solo he's epic.
Big respect to Jeff Healey for showing him the way though . Rip
Such a soulful ensemble. Not to mention the tone!!!! So damn good.
i just can't stop watching Philip Sayce..
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there, it was a packed house, the energy that night was beyond electric..I was so swept away I didn't see all the intricasies I can see here..I love that cool off beat syncopated strum toward the end. So much passion inside flawless timing..I got goosebumps all over again..I can't wait to see the rest of the broadcast..That night was INCREDIBLE!!!!!
actually could feel hendrix living in there at the start :)
this is the BEST sound that I've heard come out of that Strat.. fell in love with the sound..
the most powerful guitar performance
I was there. We used to go see him at Molly Malones every Tuesday night for like $8. Sometimes it was packed, other nights dead empty, just us, like a private performance. We were so lucky.
noone dares to dislike this...but why would anyone? I think I just found my new idol in Phil...thanks youtube (while nerdin on some OX fuzz videos)
Philip I am in awe of your vibrato and sonic aesthetic.
the guy is the best guitar player in the world today, and a great songwriter to!
awesome
Extraordinary! Peace and blessings my friend! 😉✌️
today I discovered this guy and already can't stop listening
Phillip you gotta bring this one back out man!!! So good!!!
Saw him yesterday at the Montreal Jazz Festival and I was blown away, he's an amazing guitar player and a great performer, this guy has to come more often around here.
Even a non-musician could see that this guy is absolutely amazing! Not only can he just friggin wail on the guitar, he also has a REALLY good voice! Awesome. This guy is definitely one of my new favorites!
It's so rare to find a guitar virtuoso who can actually sing. Philip definitely is the total package. I'm pretty sure I'd listen to his stuff even if I weren't a guitar geek.
epic! unbelievable!
Luv ur voice&performance😍😍😍
this is my buddy from grade 5, i loved him then and still do! keep on Phill!
So true, there are many great guitarists around these days but it feels like none of them are properly appreciated.
thnx again Philip. .....and BAND.........
The intro has a touch of Little Wing, Philip is an amazing guitarist hope to meet and hear play in the future Yea man !!
what a good song! I am as impressed with the vocals as I am the guitar!
Outstanding performance! when you go into the trance on the outro...thats what its all about. rock on my brother.
Solid performance, man.
Music is Feeling, not fireworks! Beautiful ;)
Just one word: WOW
i read about him in a guitar mag and now i landed here and i just can say that he plays incredible

Truly wonderful live performer. Come back to Scotland soon dude.
Very Hendrix-like, but with a personal touch! 👍🏻👍🏻
awesome! I love the album :)
Can't wait to see you live.
Glad you're finally coming this side of the big pond!
Cheers from the Netherlands,
Rob
I love that you have your own time when not with Melissa to do your personal stuff. You two are perfect together, and you are perfect as a lead in your band. Best of both worlds. BTW, Nice hair cut. No more long hair now that you see how cool you are with it short, huh? LOL
Love You,
SpeakTruer
mr sayce, if u was looking for something like srv live at el mocambo, u definitely got it! hehe
great
Let the man be welknown!
brilliant
@JDoherty20

LOVE IT
philip fuckin rocks!!!!!!
nov 19th at Boerderij Zoetermeer Holland!!!
eargasm.... and he thinks the same by the look of his face, this is what a real musician is supposed to look like..
i like the spirit of this guy. has this thingy what richie kotzen has, marcus deml, john mayer
I have to agree. Philip is great. But a song that kills me is 'Give me up again' by Johnny Lang. Its has every thing a song needs. All respect Philip, you rock dude.
Fucking awesome if I may say so!
Sorry let me rephrase.
HE IS FUCKING AMAZING.
would be sweet to hear philip and derrick trucks jamming out
Blew me head clean off.
@calmike14 HOLY SHIT, A BLUES INFLUENCED GUITARIST USED A SIMILAR CHORD PROGRESSION TO OTHER BLUES INFLUENCED GUITARISTS?
My mind is blown.
you can hear the inspiration from hendrix and this one especially sounds like bold as love at the beginning
Good performer in addition to a good guitarist
i prefer this guy over John Mayer.
Youve got great taste and a great pair of ears then! Hes searingly good!
@Natefunk49 nice one mate-im sure jimi would love this guy
larry david rocking the keys
No, he's using a Univibe and delay in the intro. But close. What a tonemeister, eh?
@Natefunk49 If you're discussing Hendrix heir apparents, that conversation began and at this point ended with Stevie Ray Vaughan
@123srv and the Doc from back to the futur on the keyboard!! lol
him n john mayer should kickit.
@obrienjamesband this is a great song man. atleast i believe so. the guitar work is amazing, the lyrics aren't bad. overall id say it's damn amazing.
Come to Serbia!
damn...ive got work to do
@obrienjamesband This is a great song
Uni vibe and dl4
@rmweav11 sur I agree with that !
"...with Seth Rogan on bass!"
@Blackwolfsbane clapton heard the original,as did all of the british rockers in the 60's,and they were all terrified
jimi kicked ass in england and the U.S. they could all play the blues but jimi had that sound that f@#ked them up and Trower tried his best to come close but still no cigar so we have Mayer, and Philip,Timmons and others
that try and there are those that are technically better but they've had 40yrs lessons and videos+tabs Jimi did'nt have that all he had was SOUL
This guy is way better than John Mayer.
Great voice,Great Guitar. He just needs a great song.
Ouch
amen. @rmweav11
clapton couldnt handle this
@hurpDurp1000 hey,i did'nt say the guy can't play it's just he made the reference to "his sound" which anybody with a guitar knows that his sound is jimi's and as far as stevie he only used the hendrix sound when he was doing hendrix then back to business and the comment about clapton i did'nt make that up it came from claptons own mouth he along with beck and the other british rockers of the day look it up it's documented
Is that angels note???
0 dislikes !!!!!!!!!!
@leatherandmetal26 - like to spoil my ears :-)
hendrix influence
but i understand why you say little wing ;)
How old was Philip here?
Sticazzis
That's funny, because this is a song from his 2005 self-released album 'Peace Machine'. 'Snow (Hey Oh)' was not released until 2006. Similar chord progressions are found everywhere, but this being a rip off? Hell no.
Seth Rogen on bass!
Seth Rogan on bass? Hey they are fellow Canadians! lol
