-Damn it, John! You're up to something! I've seen that look before! -You're damn right I'm up to something. -Tell me. -What? -What are you up to? -Something. I'm up to something. -I thought so! Love it. Made a .gif of that scene if anyone wants.
'Hurts like hell on a jet seat Peter...' 'Your wrong Peter...oh so wrong...your standing in my children right now...' Brilliant! Gotta love the early boardroom antics. Hadn't even got the catchphrase 'damn it!' yet. Funny how, in the early ones, they recogniseably get more pissed as the sketch goes on. In later episodes their drinking hardly seems to have any effect at all! Barring the obvious of course...
it's understood as Henry-ate-her, i believe. Of course, explaining the joke totally blows it, it's better when you just hear it and get it, but anyway.... this is just what i think it means...
"There are six million people out there..."
"Really? What do they want?"
Utter genius. Those two need to do another series.
"You're standing in my children right now."
"I . . . think I may have misheard that, John."
The Board Room And The Bedroom Are Just Two Sides Of The Same Agenda!!! love it

I always saw these bits as poking fun at the aggressive melodrama associated with soap operas like Dallas and dynasty.

-"What's she arrrfffterrr?
-"How did you manage to keep nancy for so long?"
"I've never been nancy, John."
"Your wife, Peter."
Sooooo good!

Damn good
Was Hugh Laurie suppose to fall?
They were getting drunker as the sketch progressed: the fall, the drink spills and Fry putting on his jacket backwards are all intentional.
Hugh fell a lot in ABOFAL. He is brilliant at physical comedy...
...as he is brilliant at lots of things 😁
@DoctorRainbow8321 He misheard it as "Henry et (ate) her"
