You did a grand job with the decals, John. But For myself, I would paint my line as I have over the years of modeling, become very wary of decals that i am not familiar with. But as you say, that is up to the the individual modeler. Still, a great job and the model is looking grand.

Nein, ich werde die Innenseiten nicht korrigieren, da ich meiner Meinung nach die Farbe recht gut getroffen habe. Die entsprechenden Decals lasse ich einfach weg, zumal sich dieser Farbstreifen ja auch auf den Deckswänden, den Laderäumen und den Kränen fortsetzt - und dafür werden keine Decals geliefert.
So I made everything brown with spray paint from Revell, taped everything off and sprayed it cleanly. I didn't know that there were stickers but paint is better but I don't dare spray the yellow stripe. If that goes under, I can throw everything away. That's why I prefer the stickers unfortunately and I hope that we get different stickers in Germany than you do in France. For example, in Germany we got a completely metal hull. You have plastic inside, like in Germany. We got all metal. I hope that they also make a difference with the yellow stickers here in Germany because I'm not that surprised or dissatisfied about it.
Great work John! I'm, kinda nervous when I know what's ahead - applying those stickers will be a challenge for me (I'm not best in manual/precision tasks - gently speaking :D )
Titanic never haved a yellow line. This line were for realiable ships who gained it after years of service like Olympic in her final years. I don't understand why isn't mire accurate historacly
Oh, das ist mir neu. Das wusste ich gar nicht. Haben aber scheinbar auch die Macher des Films Titanic nicht gewusst, denn da sieht man den Streifen deutlich. Ich werde ihn aber aus optischen Gründen trotzdem anbringen, auch wenn es historisch nicht korrekt ist.
Ich glaube, die gelbe Linie werde ich doch lieber malen. Die gelb-orangen Streifen an den Innenseiten von Vor- und Achterschiff habe ich ohnehin schon längst selbst mit Farbe behandelt. Diese Sticker lasse ich auf jeden Fall weg, zumal ja dieser Streifen sich auch den anderen Details (Laderäume. unterer Teil der Deckswände, Unterteile der Kräne) fortsetzt und dafür scheinbar keine Decals geliefert werden und somit ein Farbunterschied bestünde. Revell's "Decal Soft" ist ohnehin ein absolutes Muss zum sauberen Anbringen von Decals, da er dafür sorgt, daß sich die Deacals wirklich an die kleineste Unebenheit der Rumpfkonturen nahtlos anpassen.
@@JohnsModelmaking Werde ich wohl haben. Aber diese Mühe mache ich mir einfach. Ich habe ja schon sämtliche Fenster und Bullaugen "verglast", was auch zusätzliche Arbeit bedeutete.
Hm, wie soll man sie sonst darstellen? Wenn die Decals sich gut anbringen lassen und auch farblich gut decken, finde ich das eine gute Lösung. Zum Glück sind es ja Decals und keine Aufkleber, die man früher gern verwendete.
Hi I think is most easy and efective to use the Tamiya tape that you say. Can you say me if the tape roll is 1mm or 2mm ?. Tamiya tape is not white? or comes in yellow too?. Thank you.

The decals look good, they just take a while to place and set. :)
Wenn du sprühen oder malen möchtest (was meiner Meinung nach die beste Lösung ist), musst du halt sehr sorgfältig alles abkleben mit Maskierband.

Ich muss mir die Decals erst mal anschauen. Nach jahrzehntelangem Plastikmodellbau habe ich zum Glück recht viel Erfahrung mit Anbringen von Decals.

Have a look on Facebook for the Titanic groups. Someone has used a sun yellow but I am not 100% sure . :)

tamiya do the exact size and colour in self adhesive tape which i used on the Trumpeter 1/200 Titanic Well done john good work as usual
