Another missing reference: in the start of the second to last episode of the second series (now that sounded a bit convoluted, right?): the eerie sound effects in the smash cut-editing of the sequence of photographs (you know, intercalating everyone in the pub v. Brian noticing the sinister overtones of their respective revelations in his studio), well, it's a a clear reference to the beggining of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre,' isn't it? I mean, the sounds are exactly the same, and the editing is somewhat reminiscent.
Though it’s not listed on the Homage-Ometer, there is a line from Marcia to Brian when they set off to rescue Colin from the animal testing lab. “Come back in one piece. I think you know which piece I mean…” Highlander?
