Now I am part of this fig tree! I search it out in the mountains. I look where the birds have dropped its seeds. I find it gobbling up trees in Hawaii, Costa rica, Belize, Barbados, Panama, Florida. I see it take shape in different forms. In a strange way we are one. It supports me with money and makes jobs for others also, this tree and its leaves that come in many sizes and thicknesses, some with thick cuticle others thin.
By now I have your curiosity, I take the leaves and skeletonize them. The leaves are so useful because they are very different from there cousins in other parts of the world. These differences I need. One small type of leaf is great as earrings in gold or other metals. Others are prefect to make a one leaf bracelet. I fire them into glass, ceramics, and a lot more.
I plant the seeds in return so it uses me also. Truly if there was a plant to have feeling for it is the ficus!
