  • Top Dots on Top Dots on Top Dots - How many are too many? I don’t know, but I do know how a simple design can be made special just by adding top dots.
I love the contrasts in this color scheme! But, I have to admit the hardest part of this design was working with black. I don’t think I’ve used black in design, other than as my base, and was excited to try it. Well, I quickly learned that black on anything is a bad idea, unless you have a non porous surface beneath. White or light colored acrylic and chalk paint are definitely going to be challenging if you need to change or repaint anything.
If you’re going to use this color scheme, I strongly recommend using a multi-surface, enamel or anything else that is not porous underneath the black, or a light touch of spray sealer to save yourselves a lot of headache, lol!
Don’t let this scare you, you got this!

Thanks for the tip about metallic paints being more stringy than others. I'm very new to dotting and hadn't noticed yet, but this will be very helpful info!! Just found your channel today and love all the vids I've seen so far, I'm a huge fan of your color choices!

Hi, Thank you so much for all your kind words.🥰 I'm very happy you found my channel and my metallic paint tip! It's one of those things I (painfully) learned on my own, so I'm glad to save you from that experience. I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos and color choices just as much! ❤️✨

I LOVE metallic paints too and even though I know they tend to be stringy, I still, every once in awhile, forget to slow down with them to make sure all of the paint drops before moving my tool away. It’s so frustrating when that happens, but still, so worth it, for the results those paints give ❤❤❤. This is another beautiful design💙🩷. Thank u for sharing❤❤❤

Hi Darlene! You're welcome! ✨ I love the metallics and specialty paints too! But those strings can really test one's patience! 😅

@@ArtbyRMalloy How fun! I have a box of LP’s I got from a garage sale waiting for me to paint, but haven’t attempted one yet. I’m not sure why, but I feel a little nervous about trying to paint on them. Lol
