Comment WW if you want to see Wonder Woman!
Man of Steel: ua-cam.com/video/Kwl5iRPPQ34/v-deo.html
Wonder Woman! Yes! It's terrific! (But WW84 sucks...)
Jen, your not the villain type! More of a wonder woman, or Lois Lane.
"Do we want to see"WW?" ...Like You'd even have to Ask! (LOL) Jen, when I saw this one in the Theaters, everyone was cheering and applauding when SHE finally joins the Fight! We ALL Love Gal Gadot (so very much) as Wonder Woman!
WW
YES!!!!! You will love the 1978 Superman references.
Imagine watching _'Man of Steel', 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' (Ultimate Edition),_ then _'Zack Snyder’s Justice League',_ all back-to-back (which I often do)…
*9 hrs & 27 mins* of some of the best cinematic *Superhero* goodness that the world has ever seen! 🥰❤️
I would say 3 hours of good, 3 hours of average and 3 hours of mediocrity
best way to spend your life
There are few actors who have played Superman who are truly super not just on screen as the character but in reality as a person, too. And to me, it is both Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavill!! -OG
I agree!! I love them both 🥰🥰
I absolutely 100% agree 👍🏼
YES!!
Preach...😎
Peach 🍑
[5:45] Yes, Holly Hunter voices Elastigirl in The Incredibles.
Wonder Women is a MUST! You will see her origin story and be ready for Justice Legue and I would suggest the Zach Snyder Cut.
I prefer the Whedon cut to the Snyder cut. Snyder's version is a mess... he tries to do too much. The Whedon cut is simpler and MUCH easier to follow...
@@donaldball3245 Huh! … Huhuhuhuhuhhhaaaa!!!
Not to get too 'political', but imo, WW is the absolute best example if how you can do great with a female superhero and have or beloved by nearly everyone. That movie, and that character was quite awesome.
Man of steel, BvS Ultimate and ZS justice league is my favorite superhero trilogy ever. Lots of plot, great casting, and very distinct characters with opposing ideologies able to still come together for the greater good. And of course visually stunning. Snyder knows how to get every dollar up on the screen.
Lol
Lol
Lmao
Rofl
If only he actually liked the characters he's making movies about.
I love this movie!!
Ben Affleck did an amazing job playing an older Bruce/ Batman!!
The woman is Gail Gadot aka Wonder Woman, the others featured in Bruce's research are The Flash, Aquaman & Cyborg who are the other members of the Justice League.
You'll love the other movies from the team and the Justice League movie!
Great reaction 👍👍👍
Gal, not Gail.
@@Falcun21 sorry Autocorrect must have kicked in. 😅 😮💨
WW I love Wonder Woman! "She with you?" "I thought she was with you" was my favorite part
😂👍 So good!
The best part was the DC Trinity. Now matter how people like or hate him can we just thank Zack Snyder for making this moment happen.
Yes, Holly Hunter played Elastigirl in The Incredibles movies. Good ear.
I love how you didn’t know that was Wonder Woman at first…you’re literally the first person’s reaction I’ve watched that didn’t know that…so cool.
I saw this one twice in IMAX.
A defining moment in the genre and this DC Extended Universe.
The first time of these legendary heroes on screen together would definitely cause an effect on the world that they exist in.
They are different in there paths of heroism.
Appalled by each other's tactics in pursuit of justice.
Both only trying to do the right thing to fight evil.
Despite differences, they do work it out as The World's Finest.
Cavill as Kent/Superman continues to humanize how much he's trying to make a difference without making mankind fear him.
Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman aka The Tortured Veteran was very well played.
Wayne as an human being, he certainly faced the worse, tried to hold steady and became as brutal as unimagined (controversial for most fans).
But it proves that even the dark knight had a breaking point.
I figured that WW was out there somewhere on the low.
But curious to see how she would jump to action.
Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was intriguing as it was disturbing.
The scapegoat of his nature made him more dangerous as an genius.
The drama, action, suspense and the reveals of whom/what would occur down the line was mind-blowing.
Give credit where credit is due.
Zack Snyder gave the goods.
In 1992 the Superman comic books sales were on the decline, so DC comic decided to do the "Death of Superman" story line. 1986 Frank Miller (300 and Sin City) wrote a mini-series that change Batmen into the superhero what is popular today, "The dark knight returns" tell a story about Batman at age 55. As the series is told Batman faces off against Superman. So, in this movie took each pf the main characters biggest comics stories and combine them together and changed a lot of the baes material.
Aannn.... Failed
How much does superman still have over bats Total Gross sell today? Honestly asking
Comic books only I meant? Im sorry was just curious because we the man still up top
I honestly could not tell you anything about today's comic industry. I stopped collecting twenty years ago.
They rushed to Sm's death. That should have been saved after a few JL films. These Snyder films are so underrated. Wish we got more.
Best live action Batman, Affleck nailed it. That warehouse scene, perfection.
Larry Fong's cinematography on point.
Jen! It was so much fun when I realized you kept commenting on how pretty the lady was, not yet knowing who her alter ego was. In other words, you're watching these in the correct order so the identity of the woman wasn't spoiled because you watched another movie that came out later. Good job. You can watch that other movie ... later!!! :)
"IS HE REALLY DEAD, WHAT THE F!"
I loved your reaction to that.
Now go watch Justice League!
☺️👍
The Snyder Cut (2021).
Watch that version.
@@jenmurrayxo Jen, if you watch Justice League, DO NOT watch the Jo's Wedon version which was released into Cinemas because it's absolute Trash and Zack Snyder didn't get to finish his virgin because his daughter committed suicide so then a couple of years later Zack Snyder was allowed to finish off his version of Justice League which is actually 4 hours long but that is division I recommend you what if you want to see Zack Snyder's full version for Justice League.
Krazy Kajeevie 😁🍸
@@jenmurrayxo whilst I agree with the O.P. that you should watch Justice League next, I feel it important to add & stress that *_'Zack Snyder’s Justice League',_* at 4hrs, should 💯 be the version you watch.
This is high on the list of films vastly improved by a director's/extended cut. The theatrical cut of this movie made Batman look like a complete moron for not figuring out that Lex was behind things. The extended cut added a lot of the stuff that shows how Batman was fooled into thinking Superman was the bad guy. If you ever go back and watch the theatrical version, it's total garbage because of the cuts. Looking forward to a Wonder Woman reaction!
The score is my favorite thing about this film. Hans and Junkie really made a unique score for each character. Lex Luthor's being my fav.
This movie is _the_ canonical example of "should we say the important stuff first & solve the problem in 30 seconds? No, let's fight!!"
My biggest gripe with this movie is the botched reveal of Wonder Woman here. They try to make it such a cool moment with the theme music playing when we see her in the outfit but we’ve already seen that in the photo Bruce sends to Diana. How much cooler would it have been if we see the email “I know who you are” and then all we see is her reaction to the attachment? We don’t see the screen, just her look of shock. What has she seen? What was it he sent to her?
THEN in the fight with Doomsday the blast is suddenly blocked and when the light fades, NOW we finally see Wonder Woman for the first time. The theme music plays and we get the badass reveal they clearly wanted. Just my 2 cents but that would have been SO much more impressive of a reveal.
"Maybe she's Catwoman." I remember that Gal Gadot said that when she auditioned for Wonder Woman it was secretive and she thought it WAS for Catwoman at first.
Loved it when Wonder Woman showed up and Superman says to Batman "Is she with you?" I got a movie suggestion for you it's one of my favorites. The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz.
Your Hans Zimmer breakdown made my night! Also the SUUUPPPPE followed by DUUDDDE was also great. You gave a fantastic reaction to a movie I don't even like! Awesome job as always, Jen!
Thanks T! ☺️👍
Superman's death in this film is based on the 'Death of Superman" comic from the early 1990s...it is slightly different, as the book was a huge crossover with just about every DC hero having an appearance. However, the basic enemy was the same...Doomsday. That is the creature's name and like the comic book...Doomsday fed on energy to get stronger.
Definitely watch the Snyder Cut of 'Justice League'...which brings the heroes Barry Allan (aka The Flash), Arthur Curry (Aquaman), Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Victor Stone (Cyborg...who was screaming in the crazy video clip), and Bruce Wayne (Batman) together. It is worth it!
Also, 'Wonder Woman' is amazing...Gal Godot crushes the role. The movie has Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (Jenny from Forrest Gump), Connie Nielsen (from Gladiator), and David Thewlis (Remus Lupin from Harry Potter). You see Diana's origins, and it really is moving. 'Wonder Woman 1984' was fun, but not really super great. Still, it's worth a watch.
'Aquaman' gives Jason Momoa a big chance to shine. And the supporting cast of Nicole Kidman, Temeura Morrison (best known as Jango Fett/Clone Troopers for the Star Wars prequels, and Boba Fett in 'The Book of Boba Fett), Willem Dafoe, and Patrick Wilson. My only reservation about the film is unavoidable with Amber Heard as Mira...what with her and Johnny Depp's trial. It's a great film.
I am a big Christopher Reeve Superman fan, the Superman animated series helped redefine Superman with the voice of Tim Daily from Wings as the character and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. Dana Delaney voiced Lois. It was an excellent series. Portrayed a many great Superman villains like Brainac, Metallo, Bizzaro, and Parasite. All were done in awesome ways.
“Men are still good. We fight, we kill, we betray one another, but we can rebuild. We can do better. We will. We have to.”
-Bruce Wayne
Seeing Jen get so excited during the final fight between the "Trio" and Doomsday just makes me so happy! I was one of the few that loved BvS back when it came out, and it was frustrating to see the critics and MCU fanboys shit all over it... But now it seems people are coming around and appreciating what Zack was trying to do. Can't wait to see that Wonder Woman reaction Jen!!!
"Appreciating what Zack was trying to do" Unfortunately it's come to late to prolong this greatness.
Yup people bitching about martha scene when it was such a good scene
Omg I'm SOOO excited for Wonder Woman I might even bust out some light cosplay 😂👍
@@jenmurrayxo You'd make a great Wonder Woman, so you have my permission to go more than "light" on the cosplay! ; )
Jen (talking about Diana): "Oh, she's bad ass."
Everybody (channelling another Alfred): "Oh, you have *no* idea."
My biggest gripe with this movie was Bruce's motivation for fighting Superman. He was way too determined to flat out kill Supes just because he might possibly could maybe one day conceivably be a potential threat. Like what?! It would have been way more Batman of him to just plan the fight out as a warning to Superman. Let him know that he's not beyond consequences and maybe bluff that he has a whole league of people that can also keep him in line if need be. The rest of the movie would have made just as much sense without Bruce going psycho.
But that's the point.
More than his war on crime, Bruce is losing his soul.
As an human being on his path, he could care less about holding back.
Supes' tries to stand for Hope.
Bruce just needs to believe in Hope again.
@@k.delpino1124 Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a darker Batman who's losing his soul and takes things too far. I just wish it had been more nuanced. It's so jarring to see Bruce go from nearly completing a Superman killing mission to introducing himself as a friend of Martha's son at the snap of a finger (or the sputtering of his mommy's name).
Allowing Bruce to have rational intentions that become overshadowed by his lack of a soul would have made that transition much more palatable.
I'm team Henry too!
'I hope nothing happens to Lois.' Oooh, boy. If Zack Snyder had made the original Justice League sequels he intended to, you would regret saying that statement. Big Time.
BTW: Great reaction! In regards to your early questions about how in the world a normal human like Bruce Wayne can defeat Superman physically, well, he used Kryptonite but also he studied Clark/Superman via CCTV with the Batcomputer and knew how to respond to his methods of attack. This has happened before in the comics, especially Frank Miller's 'The Dark Knight Returns', where Bruce beat the ever-livin' shittake mushrooms out of Superman to nearly an inch of his life.
0:36 A "Zorro" movie poster! In the comics Zorro and Batman teamed up! The Green Hornet wears the mask of The Lone Ranger as the former is a heir to the latter. Rutger Haur has a movie in which he plays a relative of The Green Hornet.
The office comedy series "Powerless" is about Bruce Wayne's cousin. 😊
The Shadow & Batman, met in the comics. In 1994 actor Alec Baldwin starred in "The Shadow" movie. 😎
When I saw the movie teaser of this film, as soon as I saw the monster (Doomsday) I knew Superman died at the end. It is based on the comic series "The death of Superman" from the 90's, so the ending was easier to digest.
what a blast!!! but yeah… the end… yeesh.
vibrating dirt’s usually a good sign at least. i was right there with you on this one. thanks a mill!
19:24 Previously....
There's a biographical drama movie about "Superman" actor George Reeves starring Ben Affleck. The actress who you now see playing "Martha Kent" plays George's love interest in that movie!
Ben also played the second live-action "Daredevil" and one of his nicknames is "Red Batman"!
So Ben's score is: 1 "Marvel" 2 "DC"!
Jennifer Garner is the first live-action "Elektra" in both that "Daredevil" movie her own movie.
But before she and Ben played lovers in that "Marvel" movie, they played in the movie "Pearl Harbor" but not as lovers then. She's an Army nurse, and he's an Army pilot.
At the time, though, I was confused! I conflated Jennifer with being Kate Beckinsale! 😁
Side Note: Before Sally Field and Tom Hanks played, mother and son in "Forrest Gump" they co-starred as comedy club peers and lovers!
The dirt floating was a callback to Superman's first flight in Man of Steel.
You've got to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League to finish this one up! But yes, watch the first Wonder Woman movie to get the back story on her. Great movies all around. The Zack Snyder Justice League movie is a long watch though (4 hours) so get a big bucket of popcorn for that long haul!
When the extended version gives important information which was cut from the theatrical release, one has to wonder who's making those decisions. I liked the shorter version well enough but it seemed 'off' and is probably why it didn't get great reviews. Then I saw this version and many things clicked - including the amount of studio interference.
As for the reaction: Too much fun. It went to eleven when you proposed the 'pretty lady' was Catwoman. Now there was a palatable anticipation for the reveal.
Gotta do Wonder Woman 2017 after this one! It is an homage to the 1978 Superman movie.
I love that movie!! 🥰
@@jenmurrayxo I saw your reaction to it so I know you will like WW. And Chris Pine is 😍
1:47 "The Flash" movie gives us his perspective of the would-be Invasion scene seen here. 😊
The theatrical hurt the public opinion, as the studio removed 30 mins that poece together Lex's master plan. He knew who Bats and Supes were and manipulated every move. Also, many people hated all the destruction in Man of Steel, and this movie addresses it, which messes with thier initial idea of the main arch of Superman.
YES WW!!! WW and Aquaman are really good. At what point did you realize that was Wonder Woman? 💕💕❤❤🥰🥰
Lol I knew when I saw the photo of her looking awesome!!!
After a very long legal battle with DC, the surviving family members of Bill Finger finally won the credit in all future title to being co-creator of Batman. Batman v Superman is the first mainstream Batman property to bear the name of co creator Bill Finger along with Bob Kane.
"Kick Ass" is another superhero movie you should see.
I'm glad you enjoyed this movie. This is my favorite comic book movie, and the trilogy of Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, and Zack Snyder's Justice League is my favorite trilogy. When you're ready to watch ZSJL, after watching Suicide Squad (2016) and Wonder Woman (2017), make sure you watch Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) which is the director's cut, and *not* Justice League (2017; because it is the worst abomination ever to be made). ZSJL is far superior in quality, provides rich backstory to new heroes and the villains are much more formidable. ZSJL is 4-hours long but it is split up into 7-"Parts" so you can split up your reaction videos to better fit your schedule and availability.
When it comes to the death of Superman, it is a famous story in the comic books, written in the 90's. The director Zack Snyder chose to borrow elements of the Death of Superman comic because he wanted to present Superman going through a gauntlet of trials, like Odysseus in Homer's Odyssey, enduring through loss and gains, temptations and freedom, corruption and restoration, death and life - by going through all these various forms of tests, Kal-El gets to earn the title of "Superman". It is an approach that is based on the philosopher Joseph Campbell's theory of the Heroes Journey, which is the theory that the recipe for a successful superhero is captured by following the patterns of story arcs from classic mythology (Odysseus, Hercules, Jesus, King Arthur, etc.). Applying this character arc on Superman, based on old mythology, is an approach that flew over the heads of most nerds who were accustomed to the commercialized methods of Marvel films, hence the backlash to this movie and other Snyder films. Comic fans wanted instant gratification, they didn't want to wait to see Batman or Superman go through a gauntlet of trials like Campbell's Heroes Journey in order to arrive to their glory. But Campbell's method proves repeatedly that the cost is worth the reward, through other stories of modern mythology like Lord of the Rings and others. This intellectual approach to superheroes is what attracted me to Snyder's DC films in the first place, which is why i love it so much and i'm excited for you to see the third part of the story in Zack Snyder's Justice League once you're ready for it.
Thank you.
There is only one reason ANYBODY hates this movie and it is simply because they cannot get out of their Marvel simple minded stories as the blueprint. This movie (the ultimate edition) has many layers to it and there are just some who it went right over their heads. It baffles me honestly how anyone could hate this as it all comes together masterfully. Zack Snyder's Justice League is a must watch as well. This movie and that one are up there in the ranks of Endgame for sure.
One of my absolute favorite lines from this movie is when Batman says "I'll make you a promise, Martha won't die tonight". He couldn't save his Martha so he was going to make damn sure he saved Clark's Martha. Can't wait to see your Wonder Woman and Zack Snyder's Justice League reactions!
Sorry, that was the dumbest line in the film IMO.
that line seems to be the divider. people that loved the line loved the movie and people that hated it, welp, i guess they hated it...
Your watch order from here should be "Wonder Woman" -> "Aquaman" -> "Zack Snyder's Justice League" on HBO Max. Nobody telling you to react to 2017 Justice League is your friend.
Bruce Wayne's dad is in a movie I hope you watch, called The Watchmen.
For me, the reason this movie got so much hate was studio-related. Zack Snyder really needs extra time to tell his stories. All of his movies that have extended cuts are so much better than the theatrical.
When I saw the original cut of this I was completely bewildered- to the point I went back a few times to see if maybe I was missing something.
Indeed, I was- about 30 minutes of film that contextualizes all of the characters motivations and actions. Probably one of the best examples of what not to cut.
Still not a fan of Bats killing random thugs, but overall this ultimate edition clears up 98% of the issues I had with the theatrical.
Mark 8:06? I'm back! Oh, so that invitation is how others knew that he's the younger "Alexander Luthor" and not the older "Lex Luthor"! 😮
Fun fact, kinda.
The guy who did the stabbing in jail is a famous powerlifter, named CT Fletcher, he grew up in Compton, overcame severe childhood abuse, joined the army, and then became a bodybuilder, ended up having many heart attacks and technically died on the operating table three times, and set numerous world records in lifting weights in the process.
Not only did he become famous in his hometown, but he is now known as; THE SUPERMAN OF COMPTON, and is a huge inspiration to many 👏 💪
Yes, she is the voice of Elastigirl in The Incredibles!
I agree that Henry Cavill has been excellent as Superman. The first movie I recognized him in was "Stardust." Yes, you did hear Holly Hunter's distinctive voice in " The Incredibles. The first movie I saw her in at the theater was "Always." She starred as a police detective in two seasons of "Saving Grace."
Major ambivalence for me. I absolutely love Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel mini-series (you should consider watching the 2 part animated movie adaptation with Peter Weller as the voice of batman/Bruce Wayne), and Ben Affleck's physicality and much of the fight between Batman and Superman are cloned from Miller's masterpiece, so I liked those, but Zack Snyder shoehorned them in a way that didn't really work into a story that seemed written just to Frankenstein them together and to fulfill Snyder's goal of world building a cinematic universe. It's impressive, but I dislike almost as much about it as I like about it.
Snyder li ha calzati perfettamente e hanno funzionato al 100%
People blame Snyder but are you sure it’s all him and not WB?
@@jkhristian9603 I'm with You on that one!
Yes check out Wonder woman (but not 1984). Wonder woman was actually my favorite new dc hero film. I was never a wonder woman can growing up but that film changed my mind. It's good.
This is going to sound weird, but I think we'd think each other into a stalemate. But what comes after that is an understanding that we're even enough that there's a balance. Neither of us turns up the toaster setting because we understand that it doesn't increase the heat, it just increases the time. Not everyone gets that.
2:10 By the way! Because 9/11 really happened, the makers of every movie since then were able to make scenes like this more believable than ever before, when movie people only had WW2 destruction and natural disasters to work from. Seeing the lonely horse reminded me of that happening in NYC. 😢
WW is so great. They did a good job with this movie but it could have been better. The death of Superman was a big deal in the comics when I was a kid and you got to see all the DC universe characters come together to mourn and team up in different ways. Even new heroes like John Henry Irons appeared to take up the slack. The Martha moment works for me because how else could Superman tell Bats that he had a human upbringing in the middle of a crazy fight? It works.
WW great reaction as always! It looks like you have traded in The Jen Den for The Fortress of Jenitude. Lol
Chronologically, Suicide Squad (2016) came next. So make sure to watch the Extended Edition if that one before you go on to watch Wonder Woman.
I hope all of u will “like and subscribe;” she’s consistently fun 🎉
keep watching through, Zak likes to give us answers and clues.
i happen to like what they are now calling "Zak Snider's universe".
Good choice watching the ultimate cut. Here's the release order, always the extended/ultimate/Snyder cut where possible,
Man of Steel (2013)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Suicide Squad (2016)
Wonder Woman (2017)
Justice League (2017)
Aquaman (2018)
Shazam! (2019)
Birds of Prey: and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
The Suicide Squad (2021)
The Batman (March 4, 2022)
Peacemaker (HBO Max TV show) (2022)
Some are better than others...no spoilers
This is still one of my favorite comic book movies ever. As far as I'm concerned, it's practically perfect. A lot of the questions you have about it are answered in "Zack Snyder's Justice League" (never watch the theatrical Justice League movie). Definitely watch "Wonder Woman" first, though, because it not only gives her origin story but also a few important details for ZSJL.
Great reaction. And I know that everyone else has mentioned it, but I'll say it again: WATCH THE "JUSTICE LEAGUE" movie. (ZACH SNYDER cut) which was released in April 2021.
Aww, you did the *bat sounds* again...😍
While this movie wasn't perfect, I loved it. Also, not perfect but I loved Zack Snyder's JLA as well.
Jen, I don't think I will ever grow tired of seeing you swoon over people. Don't stop that. And: WW! Yes, definitely WW! Looking forward to that one for sure.
Oh good 🥰🥰👍
For us guys I had to go team 'Tao Okamoto' (Mercy Graves/Lex's assistant) whom was also in the Wolverine :)
Jen, as always you are the best of the best for reviewers. We all love you. When it comes time for watching Justice League, do the world a favor and watch "Zach Synder's Justice League", which is 4 hours long. Do not watch the theatrical JL. Just for some insght, Synder was filming JL and his daughter committed suicide. He left filming and Joss Wheldon (The Avengers and Age of Ultron) took over filming and destroyed everything. Later fans protested and petitioned online and HBO Max gave Synder money to finish his true versions, called "Zach Synder's Justice League". Just pretend the original doesn't exist......please please PLEASE
Really not a bad movie at all, the extended version makes more sense when you see it.
She watched the extended version. Says so in the title.
@@MattRowland never doubted that, just making a statement, professor.
Next up in this series is Wonder Woman then Zack Snyder's Justice League. Zack was the director of this movie and Man of Steel. There is a lot of drama behind the scenes involving Zack and the movie studio that I won't bore you with unless you really want to know. Don't get intimidated by the 4hour runtime of ZSJL, It's broken into chapters with hard breaks if one sitting is too much.
Some comic book background on the inspirations for this movie
In 1985 there was a very popular comic book called "The Dark Knight Returns" the fight scene in this movie was inspired by that story, as was the suit Batman wears. I won't go into any more detail because there is are two animated movies of this story you could react to :The Dark Knight Returns (Parts 1 & 2)
Second Superman dying was inspired by "The Death of Superman" story arc that happen in the comics in1992. This is where the character Doomsday first appears. The are also animated movies of this story. One really bad one called "Doomsday" and a much better told version call "The Death of Superman" However that movie and the follow up film are part of a series of connected universe animated films that establish a more recent (2011) version of the DC universe so there are changes from the comic book version and this movie is near the end of that series ("The New 52" animated movies). Though all those movies are pretty good IMHO. The character you didn't know is incorporated into the Justice League in those movies (and the comics they are based on) Though originally in the comics he was part of another Super team called "The Teen Titans".
Next up in the DCEU - Wonder Woman - a very entertaining movie
I imagine you've heard this here, but despite how I feel about these films overall, *Ben Affleck* is surprisingly my favorite *_Batman_* and possibly even *Bruce Wayne.*
And people say that *_Batman_* doesn't kill. But he is almost 100 years old and as a result, he has not had a rule against killing about as often as he has had a rule about killing. It all depended on the writer. That said, saving *Martha* was easily my favorite *Zack Snyder* moment in the DCCU.
And another note about this *_Batman_* killing… I like how he reached that point in this universe. It wasn't always his thing.
*Edit:* Oh, and of course having *Jeremy Irons* as a former special services *Alfred* is fantastic IMO.
I did see this movie in the theater, but honestly I can't remember a single second of it before Wonder Woman came on screen. :)
Love the channel.
She's so awesome!!! 😍🔥
One of my fav superhero films ever.
His death at the hands of Doomsday(the creature Lex created) is comic accurate
and in the arms of Lois too. say what you will about Snyder, but he is closer to comic book accurate...
Unfortunately 'not doing things on purpose' or 'he's a good guy' doesn't hold up in court when he is indirectly and directly responsible for people's deaths and suffering, nor should it. I think the duality is the most interesting aspect in this movie.
4:15 "Is Batman a Good Guy in this?"
That's my entire problem with the Snyder-Verse. The top DC heroes are all killers. Batman, with everything else taken away, has a 'No Kill' Rule, and he's killing people all the time. Superman won his fight with Zod by snapping necks, and let his father die because he was taught to believe that his secret was more important than saving lives.
I know they're impressive, popular films, but it's like they forgot what superheores were.
I believe people were disappointed because Batman and Superman took many years to team up but this was an overnight foes & friendship. The name Martha was not the reason of their eventual team up. A bit too simplified.
Commander...to hold you over until you see the Snyder cut...take a peek at...Henry Cavill in Immortals 2011 and him in a much smaller part...in The Count of Monte Cristo 2002. For the continuation of the DC saga...Wonder Woman 2017.....Yes. Second...if you are interested Aquaman 2018...then...the must watch...Zack Snyder's Justice League 2021. You'll understand. Very cool reaction. And your feel of the end...very understandable. So Wonder Woman, Aquaman then the Snyder cut. Cheers!
Looking forward to them! 👍
Ok, the order is: Wonder Woman is next, then David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, then ZSJL, then Aquaman, Shazam!, and lastly,Black Adam.
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman saved Batman VS Superman. Grew up with the first TV version of WW; Cathy Lee Crosby, followed by the more iconic Linda Carter; who later as the Principal in Sky High would poke fun at herself. And absolutely you should watch Gal in Wonder Woman.
I think most of the hate comes from the theatrical cut being pretty incoherent and messy. Ultimate Edition is liked way more because it gives you 30 minutes extra footage that makes the movie make more sense.
And like others have said, I hope we will see Snyder's Justice League which is his true vision of the movie. The Justice League that was released on theaters wasn't it. Other DCEU movies that are good include Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam.
Then there's real stinkers like Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984, movies that are pretty much only hated. Suicide Squad so much that few years later they totally remade the movie and called it "The Suicide Squad" with some old characters played by the same people. The Suicide Squad later gave us Peacemaker spin-off show.
And now there's Black Adam, which was released after James Gunn become DCEU's Kevin Feige and not long after James Gunn announced that DCEU is dead and they will start from scratch.
Hey Jen when u get to Zack Snyders justice league here is some info. u have to remember that Zack & Debra left when the project when they were 6 months into full post production due to their daughter Autumn committing suicide. Then the studio came & reshot 80-90% of Zack’s footage of a 2hr film!!! When it was released the fans knew & the #releasethesnydercut campaign started. It took 2.5 years but we got it released & have now raised over 1 million for AFSP. They Snyder cut has 3.5 hours of new footage compared to the original theatrical release. Zack only filmed one small scene in 2020. All the rest was filmed in 2016.
OMG i luv this movie! Especially when Wonder Woman shows up! Bats&Soup... "Is she with you? No i thought she was with you..." Gets me every time! 😂😂 Lex Luther is played well by Jessie Eisenberg just evil, With a twist of humor! And wow they introduced a couple more superheroes! Wahoo!!😃 Can't wait to watch Justice League next! Thanks for sharing Jen🦸🏻♀️❤️💛
I saw this opening night in the movie theater, and people jumped out of their chairs cheering when Wonder Woman appeared on-screen as Wonder Woman. The movie was flawed, but it was fun to see it with an enthusiastic audience.
I love this movie. Especially this extended cut. And the Snyder Cut is an underrated masterpiece.
"unless Batman has kryptonite"
No. Unless Batman has Adequate Preparation Time

I’ve watched every bvs video I can find and you’re the first person to see the significance of what Lois figures at 13:00.
If they know Lois and superman are a couple they learned that because they know Lois is dating a guy called Clark who bares a not hung if not interesting resemblance with the MoS.
And once they suspect Clark they look intonhis background and find he was adopted by a couple in smallville, he was accused of pushing a bus from the river, and zod picked smallville as the sight of the first attack.
Hey Jen, love how you react to the movies, it's funny, and you do not pause the movies to talk, I hate that, it's annoying when the other reaction people do that.
And btw, I am with you, I think Henry was a great Superman, and I also do not understand why they do not want to keep using him in the future Superman movies, it seems stupid to me. Unless they think he wants too much money to do more of them, it's still a dumb idea to replace him.
I also think Ben Affleck was great as Batman, I did not like Robert Pattinson at Batman, he did not fit the part. And I hated Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, he was way too young, in the comic books and the other movies Lex was much older, so it's strange to me to see such a young Lex Luther.
Wonder Woman was ok, but it's not my thing. I do not think she should have her own movie, they should use her in other superhero movies, not give her a movie of her own. I only want to see Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and maybe the hulk movies, as far as one superhero movies. I like the Avengers, etc. but the main three are Superman, Batman, and Spiderman.
I also do not really like Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, she does not fit the part in my opinion.
"YEAH!!! KISS HIM!!!" LOL
I love this movie and reaction!
I think this is one of the best CBM ever. It gets better every time I see it and really good that you saw the Ultimate Cut.
While you were crushing hard for Henry Cavill in this one, I was likewise for Amy Adams. I find her lovely and adorable, and a terrific actress, too.
Just getting back home here in "Mali! Let's gooooo! Thanks "Jen for watching this.💫☝🏼
Going forward, you DO NOT want to watch the Justice League movie directed by Joss Whedon. It's a mess of a movie. You want to seek out the version titled "Zack Snyder's Justice League." Basically, Zack Snyder left the production of the Justice League movie partway through to mourn his daughter's death, and Whedon was hired to complete the movie. However, he ended up reshooting large chunks of the movie, so the movie suffers from some jarring tone shifts. There's also some poor CGI that resulted from the sudden reshoots, which can be really distracting. In total, it wasn't well received by critics or fans and underperformed at the box office.
But an online fan movement led to Snyder being rehired to complete his version of the film, appropriately titled "Zack Snyder's Justice League." It restores much of the footage that Whedon had cut out, and feels more complete and tonally consistent. It's also longer, cut into multiple parts like a miniseries. The general consensus is that it's much better than the Whedon version.
Watch each version! It's a Multiverse Experience! 🧐😎
For me, the best thing in this movie is Wonder Woman's theme and her appearance. I really don't like the rest of it, like this jittery Lex Luthor, them bumping off Jimmy Olsen like he was trash, and, of course, "Martha." That said, I didn't mind Affleck as Batman, or Cavill as Supes, or Gadot as WW. For me, the writing was abysmal. And they put the wrong creative teams on the wrong projects. Snyder would have been TONS better doing Wonder Woman, making her dark and edgy - like a Greek warrior from "300" - while somebody else should have been brought in to make Supes a warmer, brighter character - which is well within Cavill's acting ability - and someone else should have done Batman without turning him into a bat-branding maniac. Basically, WB was way too impatient and wanted to make billions overnight, and instead they pooped the bed. Marvel did a better job, committing to base hits and then swinging for a grand slam.
The ultimate edition of this is much better than the theatrical release. Possibly the best superhero film ever made. Dark Knight and Zack Snyder’s Justice league along with Infinity War and End Game are quite possibly the all time top 5.
Great reaction Jen, also when you get to it watch “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”. It’s 4 hours long but worth every minute. The theatrical version simply doesn’t compare in my opinion. I believe Wonder Woman (2017), and Aquaman (2018) are next in the DCEU (somebody correct me if I’m wrong). Anyway can’t wait for the next one Jen!
