Great finds ! Oh my gosh...a Merdel Skittles game. We had one also as kids. Cool to see your kids (and I'm sure you both too) enjoying ! We would yell at the top as it moved around hoping it hit knock over a pin. I've never seen one outside of the one we had till now ! Brings back memories.
A year or so ago I spotted a picture of some Stompers new in package at and estate sale after looking up comps I freaked out. Barely slept that night but sadly when I got to the sale they were already gone. They had 8 of them and I think they got $2,000 for them. Was way outside my ability to buy anyways.
I would never have guessed that those little cars would be worth that much. Now I'm on the lookout for Stompers!

There is a trick to get the stompers working. They almost never work off the bat. Give it a good cleaning, put a new battery in it, turn them on and then manually rev them on the ground by pushing them. There are videos that show you, but usually they come back to life after a number of tries. They just need a little help getting started.
I can't believe how old your son is it's just like he was a baby yesterday. That game looks fun I can tell the kids are enjoying it I'm sure you are too! Great video I learn so much from the items you pick up. I also love picking up nostalgic things. I truly love researching the unusual things that you come across with resale.

Some old video game accessories like the Nintendo zapper gun only work with tube TV. I have 9 inch trinitron like you bought I used for testing the guns, but I haven't come across any to test for a couple of years. Maybe time to sell it!

Looked like a nice vintage Eskimo dual fan. I have never seen one with directable fans. Usually they are just stuck in place. You might have missed a nice score there.

My fiancé fixed a couple stompers. You gotta take it apart, clean and lubricate the motor, then put the motor back together. It’s not super easy but if you want to try, it doesn’t hurt.
My dad had those stompers toys, I remember playing with the brown ramps at my grandparents house

at like 8:26 I thought someone there running the sale was saying "and we'll buy it back" but it was the commercial on their TV.
When my daughter went to Saint cloud state one of her professors would bring out skittles game and she would come home and just rave about how fun this game was. And they would do it a lot and she would come home every single time saying oh I won again and skittles and finally my wife and I decided we should just surprise her and get this for Christmas. So they’re hard to find and I think you could do well with selling it even if you just part out the pieces. It is a really fun game but I had never heard of it when I was a kid. Those stompers I remember those things I had a few of those cars and I sure wish I still had them but I know they probably wouldn’t work because I had those things running through mud and anything just to see if they could do it.

That Skittles game made in my home town Ludington Michigan home of Carrom board
Hey John, There's a trick to getting the stompers to work. Put a battery in it and tap on the bottom of the car, or the wheels. It might take a few tries to get it. Also, make sure the ends of the battery are touching both negative and positive ends. Sometimes they get bent and you have to re align them. Good Luck!
Putting VHS on top of magnets probably not the best idea, but some great finds for sure... I have never seen those Stompers and now I will watch out for them.
Stompers aren't that hard to get working, I've found some before. Everyone is different of course but definitely worth giving them some cleaning of the battery compartment and looking up some quick fixes to see if you can get them stomping...lol

Too bad those vintage schaper cars and trucks didn't work. I found couple in the past that didn't work either. Alien definitely a keeper.
You can get those stompers to work super easily.
Just tap on the motor with a rubber end of screwdriver or something while you move the tires with your hands. I've got every single one I ever found to fire up.

Question: do you ever look anything up before you buy it? I don’t recall ever seeing you do that.
I just picked up a couple dozen stompers at an estate sale last month. I ended up selling almost all of them on the stomper Facebook pages for what eBay sold comps were and no fees that way. Maybe something to consider and they bought them all untested.
Thoses tvs are very nice sellers found a black color one at a goodwill for 5.99 sold on ebay for $96 plus shipping in a day
That Reds memories DVD is like 50 dollars on amazon that shocked me and it was like 80 dollars but got marked down.
