I don't get why people hate it so hard, this show is very close to perfection based on the three episodes available rn. I mean I get it, it isn't for kids like star wars usually is, but it is still amazing. And I really like slower pacing, Kenobi was too fast-paced for me.
Seems like most of the haters do not even watch the series (or any other series they claim to hate) for the record. Hating for the sake of hating, which is like a trend these days for odd reasons.
Because in terms of Star Wars, it's a very adult series. Which is fine, not everything has to be for everyone. But its not Jedi and sith, so people complain
One thing I love about this show is how... un-Star Wars it is while still being very very Star Wars, if that makes any sense. Everything about the set design, the dialogue, the character acting, the vehicles and droids, the framing, etc, just feels so much more... real, I guess? Grounded? This the first time I've watched a Star Wars series or film and felt a complete absence of Suspension of Disbelief -- the world that Cassian lives in feels a bit like you can reach out and touch it, where most other Star Wars media feels distant, fantastical, and comparatively a bit lacking in depth. Just a bit, though, not here to bash the rest of a wonderful franchise. I just think this entry to the franchise is particularly wonderful for a variety of reasons. Great cover!
totally agree! i think it’s because most of star wars is a combination of sci-fi and fantasy, while this show doesn’t really have any fantasy elements in it, so it feels different and more grounded
It feels like it's a show about the people at the very lowest layer of society / hierarchy and that's what it makes so interesting for me. We always see like the Jedi and important masters, high members of the dark empire and so on but those guys are like a few of the billions of "normal" people
No one asked for this show. At all. I didn't have high hopes for it when the trailers came out. That being said, Andor is one of the best shows I've ever seen, and it has the best writing and acting of any Star Wars production. It was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The last episode was a perfect end to the season - everything that had happened during its run built up to it. Even knowing what was going to happen didn't take away from the tension build up, I felt chills up my spine the whole episode. Season 2 can't come fast enough.
@@kevinhumphreys8554 Kevin how many times have you watched that incredible piece of cinematic brilliance? Not only do we get the most incredible prison breakout ever on film, we also get the greatest monologue ever in Star Wars to close the episode!

I will never understand the hate for this show perhaps the best star wars show since the mandalorian. Andors theme is so haunting really captures the despair of his character and the plight of the rebellion in its infancy
I really wish people would stop trying to compare Andor to The Mandolorian. Because objectively, Andor is far and away the superior show so far. But The Mandolorian isn't trying to achieve the same things that Andor is. Mando is a lot of fun "freak of the weak" style of plot with bits of complexity, while Andor is a much more serialized narrative that takes a lot of its inspiration from the French Resistance of WWII, aspects of The Patriot Act after 9/11, and overall a deep analysis on what makes authoritarian regimes so oppressive. Just because they exist in the same cinematic universe doesn't mean they need to be compared. Mando really could be a lot better, but its decent for what it is. Andor is a drama with dialogue and pacing on the level of The Americans or House of Cards, that just so happens to exist in the Star Wars world. It's like comparing Breaking Bad and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Their goals do not align enough for comparison.
Here we are in June 2024 as the shyte show known as The Acolyte has just about blown up the fandom......holy shit can we please get to Andor Season 2 NOW????!!!!????!!!
This is an excellent series. The best of the Disney Star Wars TV series so far. Excellent cast, character development and the musical score is vastly superior to Kenobi which was a real disappointment
@@larryfoulkeofficial8609 i must say im still watching Andor so my opinion my change as I go on watching more. So yea I should finish it first. My opinion was vased on what i saw so far
Really? Hating this show with only 3 chapters?. This show looks more realistic, lot of facts and ee, characters (well done), locations and not have Jedis, Siths, force. This is perfect. Maybe you want on 1 chapter Andor calling Ahsoka, destroying an Imperial base, full blasters and a cameo of Vader XD
@@dennisherrera4521 >Andor calling Ahsoka Hey that could actually happen lmao Andor was given the Fulcrum codename and channel and Ahsoka was actually a pioneer in that But yeah I agree, fans complaining about the slow pacing and the focus on storytelling and character development will be the death of Star Wars as shallow and bland stories like Kenobi or BOBF will continue to be relevant.
Honestly people who hate this show just dont like it because they wanna see untealistic stormtrooper battles and jedis, some people just dont like realism for some reason
If be honest, it's not so realistic when somebody punches stormtrooper into face with own frontal bown, but if remember ewoks...:) No, fuck them.. It doesn't make the series any worse nevertheless
Missed a HUGE opportunity not having the Imperial alarms going crazy at the beginning of this song. Alarms then the Andor theme would have told a story. But good remix regardless.
It took me almost half aseason to warm up, but yeah: this was very easily one of the best shows last year, and some of the best Star Wars ever despite being so far removed from the fairy tale space opera formula.
@Jar Jar Binks Yes! because it's all a part of Star Wars. even if some of it is less well done there are still some of my favorite characters and moments in those those that you just listed.
A time when spying was the only way, authoritarian regimes, it isn't made to be glamorous or full of unnecessary emotional content, it is the origin of the rebels and how they had to be in the early days, they couldn't trust their own, everyone was potentially out there to get them or profit from them, if you think about it our world is very similar, maybe more authoritarian in China or shall I say, more open about it there than in the West. The bottom line is older generations can relate because they have empathy for the scenario.
Nothing against your edit, you do great work with everything! But this song in general is kind of a snoozer. There’s nothing that makes me want to hear it again like the Mandalorian or any Star Wars movie soundtracks.
