Just the mental space this lifestyle put you in is just priceless... You are a true student, knowing all the names of the various trees, woh!....Well done my brother, This is what life is suppose to look like..Plant what you can , and bond with earth, nature... thats my HEAVEN.
Great collection of plants and it looks like he was trying to remember a plant it looks like cardomon this is how I want to do my land when I move to Florida I like his ideas trust me I gonna bring a lot of seeds from my home Belize
Thanks for this interesting informative video. Nature at its finest. I could watch all day, most of the plants I know from growing up in Jamaica. You have a garden of Eden. Abundant blessings to you and family.
Sapodilla takes timeeeeee to get ripe, the ones in West Palm Beach take a while to get ripe on the tree, you usually have to wait until they fall off the tree or if you barely touch them and they drop they ready, and of course if you squeeze and it’s soft to the touch, it’s ready🤙🏿
Wow his place is rocking 👍 From my personal experience Breadfruit can survive the 30s in the right area(understory). I’ve had mine for three years. I’m also in zone 9b almost 9a. The 20s is what I’m worried about. Good luck and thanks for sharing 👊
OMGODdess!! It was the palm tree standing so strong and tall, that got me texting compliments, of how organized, and beautiful green leaves, good spacing between plants, the green house was awesome. I love how the Sunlight gets in the garden. This is a beautiful diverse garden of Jamaican fruits, great video overall, I love the blend of herbs I wish to see more. OMGoddess!! Cocoa, my favorite. I would love to come and visit. ❤🎉🎉❤
Hey Atiba. Bless up. I haven't been on social media to see you beautiful fruits vegetables herbs. I left Florida 3 yrs so i can't come raid your fruits 😂. I follow this guy on here ❤ just cooked some ackee today for my son from a can 😢 . Stay bless guys. ❤
For the super tropicals like bread fruit I would put trees around it to protect it like ones that would make it through a cold either that or put a cloth over it and a heat lamp id say if you want to keep it during a frost. Im in 9b in California which probably pretty close to Florida climate but I dont have breadfruit yet no room. But ya a food island like at 27:11. Id prob put the bread fruit in there for example
Wonderful tour!!!..I have a dwarf June Plum..it’s only about 4 ft tall but loaded…I’ve eaten them when they are a pale green..not crazy about them. Im waiting for them to turn yellow to see if taste gets any better. Our Jamaican neighbors says they make juice out of it. Any other ways these are used and does the taste change when yellow?
Woŵ, amazing! My soursop blossoms fall off. Does he self-pollinate his soursops? I saw that on UA-cam. In Florida, losing the bees that would pollinate fruit trees because of so much construction so now the problem is fruits not getting to fruition. I would love to live in the countryside.
The breadfruit might make it. If the coconut is still good. My coconut lasted about 4 yrs and then Orlando winter. He's right i can eat breadfruit and coconut everyday. We eat our breadfruit steam with coconut milk.
I’m in Florida and never going to claim be to be smart about this stuff but to me I’m learning that trees like coconut and such palms can be useful to also succession plant. Like grow a sprout out for 3 years of good health on your inground and on 4-5 year as nature does rip out and replace with the new 3 year old maybe. Still tinkering but. With palms and such to me personally if I’m here on earth anyways why not try.
@@andrebaptistemore importantly though I’m very interested in any source of breadfruit cutting or seedlings sources whether it be amazon or whatever. If you have it and you like it I trust whatever yall say. I need me some breadfruit if I really want to live of the land!! Thanks for the cool tour and excited for the growth!!🤙🤙
What I'd like to know is where do people find these fruit trees/plants? I watch videos all the time and can never figure out through searching where to find sources to buy some. I think twice a year there's a big rare fruit tree event that happens at the south florida fair grounds, is that something I'd find all these cool varieties of trees at?

Awesome food forest!!❤❤❤
Very nice food forest. Impressed with the amount of tropical fruits trees you have.
You can also use your galangal in Indonesian and curry dishes. ❤

Wow really nice .
Good idea: food security, also teach the younger generation
Great food forest tour! Thanks for sharing!
I have a coconut tree here in Orlando, it finally got flowers. Hopefully next year it will get coconuts
Nice work. That’s not easy to do.
You will have to get ocean water to pour around it before it will do anything
nice property and food forest !
This is so impressive. Love it! ❤
Very nice!

Yes they get sweeter yellow. People make jam too
thats Blue Porter weed at 23 minute mark. Huge, great for pollinators like the bees you said were all over it

They can self pollinate or be hand pollinated.
@@andrebaptiste how do they self- pollinate?🤔

Coconut is much more cold tolerant than the breadfruit. But I’m rooting for him.
