A-Bike & Strida Folding Bikes Tested

each bike is made for different tasks.
'a bike' is ultra portable and light and ideal for SHORT trips from a bus or train trip to your workplace
strida is MUCH larger and really aimed for car/caravan/boat/campers users for longer distance get around on holiday

I drive my Strida SX almost every day. It's great fun on short distances. For longer distances and with heavy wind, it would be fine if there would be an electric version though. :-)

'A' is for trips that could be walked. 10m, or 3, is more than you'll ever take it. 'S' Performance Kit: Folding handlebars & pedals; good for trunks & planes, not needed for stores & buses. A quicker setup without the 'PK'. 'S' is 'strollered' when folded, so 'A' feels heavier to carry. 'S' wheels:16",(not 10"), which have been proven to be as efficient as full-size wheels for any speeds below racing.

the whole point of the strida's it's long and thin when folded up so you don't carry it, you drag it. if she had dragged it around, she woldn't have had problems. also the A-bike takes about 20 seconds to unfold with practice, the strida takes about 3 as there's only 1 movement.

They A Bike would be fine if you were only riding it a short distance to catch a bus.
