G26 with a G17 backup mag has been my edc for 14 years. Day, nightstand, pjs, sweats, shorts, anytime, anywhere. Got a tub of holsters to make it work...best gun ever to me. I own 5 more Glocks bigger down to the tiniest. Many other pistols and revolvers...only the 26 is my perfect carry. 10 rd flush +1 + 17 is 28 rounds minimum with me at all times. More mags in my briefcase, truck, nightstand, go bag...etc... I've never one issue with my 26.
Hey man...shit I thought I was the only one who loved and utilized the glock 26 exactly like this...i keep the flush mag..and have the g19 and 17 mag as backup..always one chambered..let me ask you something..do you think there's a problem with leaving the pistol in battery 24/7..in between cleanings and shooting. My pistol stays cocked .I'm wondering if after a month or so you think there could be a light primer strike or something along those lines.
G26 gen5 is my EDC,I have been carrying a G19 for a long time but when I got my G26...I decided that G26 will be my EDC from now on,great gun and easy to conceal.
The 26 was my first Glock. Like you said, all the new compacts are trying to evolve on subcompacts, and they have. But the 26 does the job as is without all the latest greatest hoopla. And the others can’t ever compete with the modularity with mags and such.
G26 Gen 5 is my main handgun, only upgrades are the Talon Grips, some additional G17/15 mags and grip extension, plus a light, no issues, accurate, strong, reliable and concealable
I have carried my glock 26 every day for almost 4 years now. Most underrated carry gun for sure. I stole the plus 2 off a 33 round mag and stuck it on one of the oem 10rd mags and carry it 13+1 🤷♂️
Over the past several years I've had to sell most of my guns due to financial issues. I've kept my Glocks because of reliability, simplicity, parts commonality and the Massive Aftermarket. Glock 17, 19 and 26. The 26 has been my edc for several years now.
I have a gen 2 26 that I bought used from my friend over 25 years ago. It turned out to be one of my favorite pistols. Now I’m thinking about that Apex trigger kit but it’ll be almost half the cost of my gun . 😂
I carried my g19 gen4 and my g45 i had completely discarded my g26 gen4 but recently decided to give it another try. I carry iwb appendix and wanted something smaller than my g19. I added some xgrips with a 15round mag to my g26 and it is perfect. I know most people will say that this defeats the purpose of the g26 with the longer g19 handle but honestly i was really looking for a g19 with a shorter slide and my g26 fits the role perfectly not to mention the facts that the g26 doesnt have much recoil and is more accurate than any subcompact or micro should be.
I've carried the glock 26 for nearly 10 years. Recently picked up a friend's fn509 compact.. I can understand why a new gun buyer would overlook the glock 26. I could see myself making the switch but the difference isn't enough to pay more for mags and I'm already invested. Still may get one eventually.
Been rocking the G26 for over a decade now & the only mods I've done are Talon Grip & a 3.5 lb trigger bar. After going to a lighter trigger I can drive tacks at 30 yds.
I own one of these 26 gen 4 pistols. I like it because you can add larger magazines 10, 12, 17 33 rounds. But if you compare this pistol to a Hellcat you will get a smaller pistol with 1 more round.
can’t go wrong with a 26, i carried my gen 3, 26 for a while but i got a 43x mos over the summer and it kinda took over. still carry my good old 26 every now and then
I also carried the G26/4 for many years and established a solid two-finger grip with it. THEN, I bought a G19/4 and my opinion changed. My performance was so much greater with the G19/4 that it became my EDC and I still used a two-finger grip, as my little finger is tied to my trigger finger. Now when I added a 2-round ext. to my G26/4 the grip was that of my G19/4 and the grip between the two was different as the G26/4 had a more hump to better fill my/your palm swell, and not as straight as the G19/4. The small difference in frame between the two the G19/4 became my EDC. SO, I traded in my G26/4 for my new EDC the G23/5. With the G23/5 added width it gave me a greater girth in the grip, and with the new 20lbs recoil-spring gave me great control on followups even out to 25yds. The G26 is still a great gun, however as experience grows and expectations change as well, I now love my newer .40S&W in the newer G23/5.
At this point, aside from the price of it’s needed aftermarket support, there truly isn’t anything objectively better about the Glock 26 than it’s competitors. Subjectively, heck yeah, it’s one of my favorite guns. I have a gen 5 and absolutely love it, but that’s just an opinion. The guns benefits have been matched and in some cases exceeded by a number of its competitors. It was objectively better 10 years ago, but not so much anymore. Again, still one of my favorites though.
The reason the market is shifting towards a longer grip is because holsters are getting better. Ulti clips and j hooks/claws, makes the grip length less and of issue and more about making a thin gun. So with that, you don’t hav to sacrifice having a two finger grip with a flush mag like with the 26. Still a great gun, but the micro 9s with the long grips definitely make sense
Great video and great ideas! I've tried all the new micro 9s and have always felt something was missing. My G26 is now on the way and I can't wait. It's that the galco (something)tuck holster? Was looking at that one too.
Ive got one of the gen 3's. Did a bit to it. Def enjoy it. But wish id have just got the 19. I got the x grips or whatever, but id have just preferred a solid full size handle. I also highly dislike the hump on the handle... i know it can get worked on by the right person... but yeah, def wish id have just been more knowledgeable at the time. My gun knowledge is very low. And it was my first. Since then ive build a p80 and owned a s&w 629. 👌 I love the apex trigger. Ive tried 2 other aftermarket triggers. And apex triggers are extremely comfortable.
That looks like Hornady Critical Defense you popped out of there. That's the MP5 jhp ammo of choice. You've got that perfect grip tape going so drop a few and coat that upper. I have a G26 and really like it. But seriously, you're comparing having one in the chamber of a Glock to one in the chamber of a revolver? Ludicrous. Carrying one in the chamber of a Glock is dangerous. Carrying one in the chamber of a DA revolver is far safer. You're not going to accidentally shoot yourself pulling on a DA trigger. I put Ameriglo I-dot sights on my 26 and 19 and love them. The install of the Apex trigger, safety plunger and disconnect made a huge difference with both of my gen 3 G19's, prior to my groups were hitting left no matter grip or finger placement on factory trigger. Oddly the G19 is the only model I shoot left with in my collection of Glocks (26, 30, 36, 19 and 43) or any other handgun for that matter like Sig, Beretta, 1911's etc. I left the factory trigger on my gen 4 G26 as I shoot fine with it unlike the factory trigger on both my gen 3 G19s. I'm very accurate with the G26 and it's a big favorite but after getting both my G19 models straight they're pretty much all tied for favorite.
I appreciate the comment! I wish Apex would Branch out into more models I think they got this nailed down! I'm even considering just buying a shoe for my Tiimney trigger on my G40 I love the feel of it so much
@@Hialeah1925 my reasoning is that the factory trigger almost has a hook at the very end and when I used to carry a leather holster the trigger had gotten caught on it a couple times. Personally I’d want to carry something with a manual thumb safety because I would want a round in the chamber and I can flick the safety with one hand. I would want a sig p365
Why do the shell casings come straight back and nail my wife in the chest? Serious question. Limp wristing, possibly? Any help is appreciated. We sold a gun that did that but I don't wanna sell this one because it is brand new
This is a common thing with Glocks. Apex makes a fantastic extractor just subtle geometry change and it should come out a little bit more to the right. And 100% limp wristing and can do that
Yes the G27 is better, I've had mine for 20 years going back and forth between .40 & .357 sig barrels but since I finally was able to get my CCW permit I converted it over to a tamer 9mm but that's what makes the 27 so awesome because of the versatility of being able to choose either one of 3 different calibers using 1 gun.

I'm very accurate with the G26 and it's a big favorite but after getting both my G19 models straight they're pretty much all tied for favorite.
I appreciate the comment! I wish Apex would Branch out into more models I think they got this nailed down! I'm even considering just buying a shoe for my Tiimney trigger on my G40 I love the feel of it so much
That’s my fleece carry
Dat gak will "blow out a lung!" gets yurself a blunderbuss for EDC!
😦
Bought mine because so ugly I could pitch it no problem but its grown on me.
Would you trust that apex trigger for appendix carry?
More then the factory yes
@@spokanesurvivaltrainingand5797 wow.. ok thanks!
@@Hialeah1925 my reasoning is that the factory trigger almost has a hook at the very end and when I used to carry a leather holster the trigger had gotten caught on it a couple times. This trigger is very squared off it would be very unlikely that the trigger shoe and safety would be pulled by forgin object
@@spokanesurvivaltrainingand5797 got it, thanks again sir
Personally I’d want to carry something with a manual thumb safety because I would want a round in the chamber and I can flick the safety with one hand. I would want a sig p365
Can't trust a Sig
@@darylragland1502 The issues have been fixed and they are very reliable
Glocks are carried with a chambered round.
best gun nobody talks about? idk i think the Glock26 gets hella love as it should though...
Are those plastic clips on the holster? Most plastic clips don’t work well with sweats or shorts
Alien gear Shape shift G26
Why do the shell casings come straight back and nail my wife in the chest? Serious question. Limp wristing, possibly? Any help is appreciated. We sold a gun that did that but I don't wanna sell this one because it is brand new
This is a common thing with Glocks. Apex makes a fantastic extractor just subtle geometry change and it should come out a little bit more to the right. And 100% limp wristing and can do that
@@spokanesurvivaltrainingand5797 I appreciate the reply! I will check into that extractor as well
The gen fives seem to drop a spent round on top of your head every mag. I'm not the only one with this observation.
Tell her to move
@@darylragland1502 excellent advice. Thanks
I will stick with my 43x 15 rounds. These large hand can't grip that small 26 grip. Just saying.
Little Blocks.
I prefer 19x
Because you don't know what you are doing.
Y not both😂
ginger? oh hell no
😂
“That nobody talks about” lol yeah, okay. You must be new in the firearms community
This video has 30k views 🤔
You misspelled M&P40c.
I love my G26 but the beginning of this video is mind numbingly boring.
"Best".......isnt it 9mm? 😂
The music is annoying and distracting
My bad. Part of having children is the numbing of background noise😅
If everyone says something is underrated then chances are its actually overrated.
Wrong!!!,...Glock 27 because you can just swap out the barrel/mag to be a Glock 26,...same Specs
Dont you have to use a conversion barrel?
Glock 27:is better.
If you like a dead, always superfluous round like the .40.
@@johnlocke8966 LOL. All you nay sayers make me laugh. To me 9mm SUCKS. High, snappy recoil, wimpy performance in a wimpy little 115 gr. projectile. Enjoy your Krout round.
@@CrazyPetez "Let's make an extremely weak 10MM, shorten the case, and tell the morons it's a better round than the 9MM. They are stupid enough to buy it!"
--Smith & Wesson
In alot of ways yes. You can make 3 guns with the 27
Meh, S&W shield and SIG 365 beats it. If your a Glock fan boi, and that's all you know, then stick to them. New first time buyers, look at the other makers I mentioned. Lots of better choices then glock for your money out the box, without spending more money on sights, triggers, dremeling under the trigger guard to not get glock finger.
I would like to see your magazines and fire control group without rust good SIG sir
@@spokanesurvivaltrainingand5797 Since I've been a Cop going on twenty years, and my German made P226 is in excellent condition with over ten thousand rounds through it, I'm sure I could accommodate you.
All cool except for the white-trash bleeding 17 tattoo on your forearm. But thanks anyway.
Its almost everyone in my family's birthday. And my family is from Ireland
Mind your own
Nobody else did so I have to ask was that gong at 250 yards a freight train because if it was not I question that hit! Any idea what a 9mm drops from a 3" barrel at 250 yards?
Because everyone is waiting for the gen5 MOS version..
I lov my glock 27 with 23 mags
